On The Verge Of Xmas

... it's a hot and stiffling night here in Canberra. Strange really for Christmas Eve. Stranger still that its below freezing in 'the old country', where it will be the traditional 'white Christmas' in many areas. Brrr ... the thought of a freezing cold wintry night! We're sweating buckets here. We had the BBQ on for tea earlier. It's our 2nd Ozzy Xmas. But the first in our own house. The Absinthe is 'going down a treat'. In a couple of hours it will be 'kip time' and Xmas Day. I'm sure the boys are excited, so we will still be woken up in the early hours with the sounds of wrapping paper being ripped and excited voices. It's an Xmas Turkey in the oven ... and other meats on the BBQ! It was nearly 40 degrees C today. Tomorrow it is supposedly 25 degrees with rain. We'll see.... as it will be gratefully accepted. Then on Boxing Day it's the local mall and a 'secret santa' spend ... where we'll buy anonymously for each other and then laugh at the dumb pressies we bought each other. But for now ... the focus is on the rest of the evening ... our thoughts go out to those we know in the Northern Hemisphere.
