Police hunt for Madeleine McCann is scaled back from 29 investigators to four after spending more than £10million in failed hunt for missing girl

Daily Mail: The police hunt for Madeleine McCann was drastically cut back today as Scotland Yard revealed it is running out of leads to follow. The Met, which has spent more than £10million on trying to find the missing British child, has cut the number of officers working on it from 29 to four. Three-year-old Madeleine disappeared during a family holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007. Detectives say they have investigated 60 suspects and looked at 650 paedophiles as well as almost 9,000 sightings of the girl since she was abducted but have not solved the case.
