NANKEEN KESTREL ON THE URAMBI HILLS
This awesome image of a Nankeen Kestrel is also the Image of the Month for April 2018. It was one of the first photographs I ever took of Nankeen Kestrels and so is a personal favourite of mine. I'd encountered a pair of Nankeen Kestrels for the very first time, and would be blessed with numerous photograph opportunities after this first encounter. However, this first tryst with Nankeen Kestrels, other than having a Nankeen Kestrel hovering a dozen or so feet above my head, remains the best encounter.
