In order to “save the planet” from “global warming” and “climate change,” the county of Oxfordshire in the United Kingdom is imposing climate lockdowns to keep residents from moving about and “polluting” the environment with their existence.
The Oxfordshire County Council recently approved plans to lock residents into one of six zones throughout the county. Residents will need a special permit to travel from one “zone” to another – and even with a permit they will only be allowed to travel “a maximum of 100 days per year.”
All part of a so-called “15 minute city” agenda being pushed by Oxfordshire officials, these climate lockdowns will involve the use of electronic gates on key roads in and out of the city. Residents will have to present the proper credentials to get the gates to open, otherwise they will remain restricted to their homes and immediate neighborhoods.
“Under the new scheme if residents want to leave their zone, they will need permission from the Council who gets to decide who is worthy of freedom and who isn’t,” reports explain.
“Under the new scheme residents will be allowed to leave their zone a maximum of 100 days per year, but in order to even gain this every resident will have to register their car details with the council who will then track their movements via smart cameras round the city.”...<<<Read More>>>...
