The BBC has been accused of “indoctrinating” children with
pro-trans programmes after a number of children’s shows broadcast by the
corporation uncritically presented activist perspectives. The Telegraph
has the story.
When
presented with a dossier of examples of the pro-trans “bias”, BBC
executives dismissed the concerns and the content remains online.
The BBC is in crisis
after the Telegraph exposed an internal 8,000-word memo compiled by a
whistleblower that alleged widespread bias within the corporation. The
corporation has come under fire for the misleading editing of a Donald
Trump speech, as well as alleged impartiality in its coverage of the
conflict in Gaza, climate change and gender identity.
This week
Richard Burgess, a senior BBC News executive, admitted the broadcaster
had made mistakes in its coverage of transgender issues.
The fresh accusations are likely to add to concerns about impartiality across BBC programme-making more broadly.
Campaigners
