Life is too Short
IMO this is an incredible song ... the words, the melody, the classic Scorpions balladic style ....
Scorpio Spirit
People often draw back visibly when someone says he or she was born in end Oct or November, murmuring, "Oh, you're a Scorpio!" either in frank fear, or in awe and respect. Sometimes there's also a giggle that obviously refers to the legendary Scorpio passion. Scorpios are fed up with these reactions to their Sun sign, and who can blame them? But they are ruthless and dangerous, right?
Wrong. It depends. First, you'd better learn how to recognize the sign. They have a very mysterious personality. Look at the eyes. They can be green, blue, brown or black, but they'll be piercing with hypnotic intensity. Most people feel nervous and ill at ease under Scorpio's steady gaze. You'll have to break the spell and look away first. He'll outstare you every time. It's a foolproof identification of the Pluto personality. Scorpio eyes bore deeply into you, mercilessly, as if they're penetrating your very soul....They are.Scorpio will not pay a false compliment to gain a point or win an ally. It's beneath him to flatter. When he says something nice to you, treasure it. You can be sure it's sincere and unvarnished. If he says you have a good voice, stop singing in the shower and grab a microphone. If he says you have a great voice, you can safely audition for an Opera. He may even effortlessly move a few mountains out of your way to help you along. Scorpio can never slide deep enough into the slime of bitter depression to completely lose the power of Pluto.
It's never too late for the gray lizard to transform himself into an eagle. That kind of deep magic belongs exclusively to every person born uder the Sun sign of Scorpio. Typical eagles have no fear. In battle they'll lead their men into the very face of death without a tremor. Even the average Pluto man or woman bravely faces anything from physical pain and poverty to ridicule and failure with a proud contempt and complete confidence in an inner ability to overcome any blow.
Scorpio is intensely loyal to friends. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Some of them do this literally, for friends, relatives or loved ones-in battle or in a civilian crisis. The Scorpio soldier leaps instantly, instinctively, to brave the bullets and drag his buddy to safety. The Scorpio fireman gives his life to rescue the child in the burning building.
One thing is a little frightening, and may require courage on your part. Scorpio loves mystery and there's not a single one that crosses his path he won't solve in detail. Since the eternal feminine mystery is any girl's most potent defense and offense, being stripped naked of your mystery can leave you feeling a little exposed. You'll scarcely have a secret left when he starts probing with those burning eyes and piercing questions.
He has high standards, and he won't choose his friends loosely. They'll have to measure up. This is a marvelous, rare kind of man who can share a jug of spirits and joke with rough humor among other men like a bawdy Elizabethan; then tap that deep, inscrutable nature and turn into as gentle and tender a lover as Robert Browning. If there's anything more to ask for in a male animal, I don't know what it might be. Submissiveness and forgiveness? Detachment and caution? That's not fair. You knew he was short on those qualities back in the beginning.
You've been warned that Scorpio is compelled to conceal his motives, and this tendency isn't watered down in love. It may even be intensified. He's not about to display his true emotions in front of the world like a vulnerable, smitten schoolboy. Later, when you're alone, he'll tell you what he really thinks.
The Sting of the Scorpion
Scorpio is the Eighth Sign of the Zodiac. It is associated with beginnings and endings...and those born under this Sign are unafraid of either, possessing a deep, driving desire and unstoppable determination to learn about others. The Sun enters Scorpio as Autumn advances. It is a time of impending hiberation, but even as the land is chilled, the seeds within the earth promise eventual reawakening. This is the Season of Scorpio...perhaps the most complex of all Zodiac Signs. Is is significant that this Sign has not one symbol, but several: the Scorpion, the Eagle and the Phoenix, each contributing distinctive qualities to the Sign's nature. Aggression and instinct are provided courtesy of the Scorpion aspect, illustrated by way of destructive behavior, a viciously competitive personality with a tendency to be violent and cruel.

The Scales of Justice
Libra is the Seventh sign of the Zodiac. It is sometimes referred to as the Balance. The Sun enters Libra around the time of year when day and night are of equal length.
Thus, this is when the Earth and the Sun are in balance...a time such balance is also illustrated by the fact that when the Sun reaches this point, Spring and Summer have passed and the harvesters are weighing and balancing the fruits of their labours. Now, the beginning of Autumn heralds the Harvest Season. The origin of the word Libra derives from the Latin meaning "balances" or "scales." Often, a statue of the Goddess of Justice holding the scales or balances is erected over the domes of modern court houses. In ancient times, this constellation was associated with the judgment of the living and the dead. Libra is the only inanimate Sign of the Zodiac, the other eleven representing either human or animal forms.
Those born under this Sign are natural arbitrators and diplomats, constantly seeking balance and harmony. In short, they are sociable, cheerful and charming souls. Perhaps the greatest fault of this Sign is indecision. Libra individuals find it difficult to make up their minds and strongly dislike taking sides. Although they have an aversion to those who are rude, they themselves can frequently be disconcertingly brash and blunt. Nonetheless, some astrologers consider Libra to be the most desirable of all Zodiac types because it represents the zenith of the year.
Libra is representative of balance...the weighing of values and justice. When those ruled by this Zodiac Sign manage to bring balance into their lives and curtail the inherent tendency to waver from one side to the other, then they will find the contentment that is so necessary to their well-being.
Biggest Ever Rise in Oil Prices Overnight
In New Zealand, petrol at the pumps dropped last week to $1.95 a litre for 91 unleaded, but this price could come under pressure as oil companies here absorb last night's spike.
Light, sweet crude for October delivery jumped as much as US$25.45 to US$130 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange before falling back to settle at US$120.92, up US$16.37.
The rally, which shattered crude's previous one-day price jump of US$10.75, set June 6, showed the intensity of emotion in the market.
Crude has gained about US$30 in a dramatic four-day rally that has at least temporarily halted oil's steep two-month slide below US$100.
At this rate, crude is within striking distance of its all-time record of US$147.27, reached in July.

Massive diamond found in Lesotho
Miners in Lesotho have discovered a huge gem stone which may become the largest ever polished round diamond. The stone weighs 478 carats and is the 20th largest rough diamond ever found, said Gem Diamonds. The company said the uncut rock was recovered recently from the Letseng mine, owned by the company in Lesotho.
The diamond, which is as yet unnamed, has the potential to yield a 150 carat cut stone, and could sell for tens of millions of dollars, the company said.

Stonehenge was constructed in 2300 BC as a centre of healing, dig reveals
The pair were the first scientists allowed to dig inside the World Heritage site in 44 years in a project funded by BBC Timewatch and Smithsonian Networks. The dig unearthed about 100 blue stone pieces from the original bluestone sockets, now buried underneath the monument. The archaeologists said radiocarbon dating established that the central blue stones were brought to the Salisbury site at 2300 BC - 300 years later than previously thought.
'We told the world we were going to date Stonehenge. That was a risk, but I was always confident,' Professor Darvill of Bournemouth University told the BBC.
Professor Darvill and Professor Wainwright said they believed Stonehenge was a centre of healing. They found an 'abnormal number' or corpses showing signs of serious diseases nearby. An analysis of teeth found around half of those who died were not native to the area.
'Stonehenge would attract not only people who were unwell, but people who were capable of (healing) them,' Professor Darvill told the BBC. 'Therefore, in a sense, Stonehenge becomes 'the A & E' of southern England.'
He added that people remained interested in the magical, healing qualities of thestones for many hundreds of years afterwards. Their excavation uncovered fragments of stone which could have been used as lucky charms. Professor Darvill said 60 per cent of the smaller blue stones was broken off, compared with just five to 10 per cent of the large, iconic Sarsen stones.
'Taking those pieces to become talisman, lucky charms, to be used in the healing process is very important,' he said.
Druid Animal Lore
Telepathic connections with pets are frequently reported, and have become the basis of scientific experiments, and it has now been proved that pet ownership in the elderly prolongs life and promotes good health. All this shows that animals do indeed offer us the gifts of vitality and healing, and clearly we in turn can help them with our care and affection. In Druidry we go one stage further and suggest that each animal carries a different and very particular kind of ‘energy’ or healing potential – ‘medicine’ in Native American vocabulary. This energy is available to us not only by physically connecting with an animal. Sometimes it simply isn’t practical to stroke a snake or lion for example, but Druids believe they can still receive this energy and interact with the animal in the Otherworld. This mysterious realm is sometimes called the Spiritworld. Some might think it imaginary, others might see it as another term for the Collective Unconscious, but Druids believe it is a world to which we sometimes travel in sleep or meditation, and which we enter at the death of our physical body. There, in this parallel universe of the Otherworld, are trees and plants, animals and birds, humans and nature-Spirits.
Just as our outer world contains a host of different environments and beings who inhabit them, so too with the Otherworld, and part of the training of Druidry lies in developing the ability to consciously travel in this world – so that in dreams and meditation, and on death, we can navigate within it. Many of the old Celtic folk-tales that derive from the Druid tradition speak of this realm and of the exploits of mortals who enter it.
In the story of the Well of Segais from Ireland, for example, we learn of King Cormac, who loses his wife and children to a mysterious warrior who spirits them away to the Otherworld. Cormac gives chase with an army, but a mist descends, he is separated from his troops, and he finds himself alone by a well. Around it grow nine hazel trees, and swimming in its deep waters are five large salmon who feed on the hazelnuts. Five streams representing the five senses flow from the well, which is also described as a fountain or pool.
The mysterious warrior reappears and reveals himself as the god of the sea, Manannan, who reunites Cormac with his wife and children. He then explains that the wise drink from each of the five streams and the central pool – suggesting an approach to wisdom that represents the very essence of Druidry as a sensuous spirituality that seeks wisdom and nourishment from the still centre of Spirit deep within and through each of our five senses.

Chelsea 1-1 Man Utd
Salomon Kalou's late equaliser preserved Chelsea's long unbeaten home league record and earned a deserved point against Manchester United.Ji-Sung Park put United ahead in the 18th minute after Chelsea keeper Petr Cech fumbled Dimitar Berbatov's shot. United lost keeper Edwin van der Sar to injury in the first half and Chelsea took control of a disjointed game. Joe Cole and Nicolas Anelka wasted great chances before substitute Kalou headed in with 10 minutes left.
The 'Power' of a Sorcerer
The power of a sorcerer is nothing to do with material 'power' gained through acquired wealth and affluence. The power is one of a magical nature, gained through harsh and often painful experiences encountered on the path through life. The sorcerer is more often than not tested to his absolute limits. Like the elastic band stretched to breaking point. Like the forearm muscle which is pulled and broken to increase its bulk ....
The 'power' of the sorcerer is in truth the ability to take all the knocks and the disappointments which material life can provide .... then, no matter what, get back up again ... undaunted ... and stand stronger in stature than before ....
No pain, no gain .... is one of the mottos that the sorcerer wears on its sleeve .... 'make me, break me, remake me' .... the other.
The path of the Sorcerer .... the one which leads to the reservoir of this slakeless power ... is more often than not, the path of the selfless soul, who provides undaunted compassion for the other souls on the planet, and expects nothing in return. Compassion is in truth the ultimate power of the sorcerer. The satisfaction of helping others selflessly is the only reward which the sorcerer receives.
Hidden Treasure
The ocean can look very different, depending on whether you are standing at the shore, soaring above in a plane, or swimming beneath its waves. Likewise, a mountain can look very different relative to where you are standing. Each living thing sees the world from its unique vantage point.
While from your window you may be seeing what looks like a huge shrub, a bird in its nest is getting an intimate view of that tree's leafy interior. Meanwhile, a beetle sees only a massive and never-ending tree trunk. Yet all three of you are looking at the same tree. Just as a shadow that is concealed from one point of view is easily seen from another, it is possible to miss a fantastic view. That is, unless you are willing to see what’s in front of you through different eyes. Seeing the world from another perspective, whether spatially or mentally, can introduce you to all sorts of hidden treasures.
The root of the discovery process often lies in finding another way of looking at the world. The common human reaction to insects is one example. Spinning its web in a dark corner, a spider may seem drab, frightening, and mysterious. But seen up close weaving silver snowflakes between the branches of a tree, they can look like coloured jewels. Sometimes, there are experiences in life that from your vantage point may seem confusing, alarming, or worrisome. Or there may be events that look insignificant from where you are standing right now. Try seeing them from another point of view. Bury your face in the grass and look at the world from a bug’s vantage point.
Explore your home as if you were a small child. Take a ride in a small aircraft and experience the world from a bird's eye view. Just as kneeling down sometimes helps you see more closely when you are looking for lost treasure, so can standing back help you appreciate the broader picture of what you are looking at. In doing so, you’ll experience very different worlds.
Microchipped dog returned to family a year after being stolen
South Taranaki District Council animal services officer Shirley Hayward said the dog was healthy and well fed, but had no identification when it arrived.
As a matter of routine he was scanned and to the surprise of staff had a microchip which gave contact details of his owners in Rotorua.
However, Ms Hayward said the phone number provided by the microchip no longer existed and it turned out the family had moved address.
She then contacted an animal control officer in Rotorua and discovered the dog had been stolen while the family were holidaying in Taranaki.
After making some more inquiries Ms Hayward managed to track down its owner, Tracey Davison.
"I had to spend some time convincing her I wasn't making a crank call. Once she realised I was for real, she was over the moon," Ms Hayward said.
Along with her son, she travelled to Hawera and found the dog was as happy to see them as they were to see him again.
"Dogs don't forget," Ms Hayward said. "His whole body wagged with sheer excitement as he dashed about frantically licking everyone."
She said the family had been keeping in touch via text message since they returned home with the dog and were grateful they had had him microchipped.
The South Taranaki District Council said the dog thief had not been caught.

Potter Author Gives £1m To Labour
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has donated £1m to the Labour Party as recognition of its record on child poverty.
The donation is a major boost to the cash-strapped party and its leader Gordon Brown as the annual Labour conference starts in
Rowling, whose fortune was estimated at £560m in this year's Sunday Times Rich List, is a friend of Mr Brown and his wife Sarah.
The author wrote the first of her best-selling books about the boy wizard while an impoverished single mother.
In a statement, she said: "I believe that poor and vulnerable families will fare much better under the Labour Party than they would under a Cameron-led Conservative Party.
ET could 'tickle' stars to create galactic internet
Advanced extraterrestrial civilisations may be sending signals through space by "tickling" stars, new research suggests. The signalling would be the galactic equivalent of the internet.
"If it exists, it might be revealed by an analysis of already-existing stellar data," says John Learned of the University of Hawaii in Honolulu.
Learned and his colleagues have focused their attention on stars that vary regularly in brightness. Crucially, these "Cepheid variables" are so luminous they can be seen as far away as 60 million light years.
Jolting the star with a kick of energy – possibly by shooting it with a beam of high-energy particles called neutrinos – could advance the pulsation by causing its core to heat up and expand, they say.
That could shorten its brightness cycle – just as an electric stimulus to a human heart at the right time can advance a heartbeat. The normal and shortened cycles could be used to encode binary "0"s and "1"s.

The Kabbalah Experience
The Practical Guide to Kabbalistic Wisdom
by Naomi Ozaniec
The integrated study of Tarot and the Judaic teaching of the Kabbalah, presented in workbook style to take the reader on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening
Kabbalah is the Judaic path of mystical self-revelation. The word Kabbalah means “from mouth to ear”, indicating that this system originated as an oral teaching between teacher and pupil. The Kabbalah Experience leads the reader, through a series of structured exercises, on an experiential journey of self-discovery into the Tree of Life which lies at the heart of Kabbalah. In a unique combination of Tarot and Kabbalah, the reader “climbs” the Tree of Life by interacting with the 10 Holy Sephiroth and the 22 Paths which together make up the traditional 32 Places of Wisdom. The Sephiroth are approached through the imagery of a series of Inner Temples, while the Paths are approached through the related 22 Tarot cards. This powerful process of initiation results in a profound spiritual awakening.
Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life
When we purposefully change our handwriting, we introduce attitudes that can improve our relationships, give us the impetus to achieve and take risks, and simply bring out the best in us. This is because our handwriting is a reflection of our innermost thoughts and feelings. When we fall in love, survive a serious illness, or change careers, our view of life is dramatically altered and, as a result, our handwriting patterns change. Conversely, desired transformations can result from intentionally changing the way specific letters are written:
* Stick to that diet by changing the letter T.
* Avoid being overlooked for that well-deserved promotion by changing the letter G.
* Reduce stress and cease juggling too many things at once by changing the letter S.
* Overcome shyness or stage fright by changing the letter A.
Handwriting
Our handwriting is far more than a succession of words put together to create a means of communication. It is a map of our attitude toward life, a labyrinthine pathway to long-forgotten hiding places inside, a diagram of our unconscious mind. In simple terms, our writing patterns are clear indicators of how we feel about ourselves. They are a measure of our self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-reliance; they indicate our fears as well as our unique abilities. Self-image is the lens through which we see life, and handwriting patterns mirror the components of the prescription in that lens.
Although the hand -- or teeth or toes -- holds the pen, it is the brain that causes it to move as it does. When we write, each movement of the pen not only reflects the attitudes we have about ourselves, it reinforces them. Each time we press the pen to the paper to create a letter formation, connect letters, or shape a margin, we are declaring, "This is who I am." The more often we write in a specific manner, the more deeply that attitude is ingrained in our psyche.
Most of us have seen handwriting that caused us to gasp, laugh, or feel a certain way. Signatures especially. At one time or another you may have shown an unknown writer's handwriting or signature to someone and said, "Look at this!" You don't have to be a handwriting expert to gain insights about people through their writing. Essentially, handwriting is a graphic representation of our interpretation of life, indicating how we feel about ourselves and how this feeling affects our view of those around us.
Graphology
Graphology, also called handwriting analysis, is the science that correlates handwriting patterns with personality traits. Professional graphologists are trained in the interpretation of handwriting patterns and their relationship to the personality. Their expertise lies in drawing up a list of personality traits based on a thorough study of a handwriting sample.
Graphotherapy
Graphotherapy is the behavioral science that invites the writer to take pen in hand and change self-defeating aspects of the personality by altering specific strokes in the handwriting. Graphotherapists are trained in graphology and have additional training in psychology. Their expertise is to guide the client in altering handwriting patterns as a means of removing negative thought habits and replacing them with positive, self-supportive ones. By changing writing patterns we simultaneously reconfigure the neuropathways in the brain that record our self image.
Birmingham 0 v 1 Blackpool
Gary Taylor-Fletcher grabbed the only goal as Blackpool secured a shock victory at high-flying Birmingham.
Taylor-Fletcher drilled the winner past Maik Taylor after being teed up by Keith Southern on 47 minutes.
Blackpool's victory margin could have been greater against an out-of-sorts Blues but Taylor made super saves to deny David Vaughan and Ben Burgess.
The home side barely threatened with Cameron Jerome and Kevin Phillips missing half-chances.Quote For the Day

'The Meeting'
20/9/2008
Strange how it is impossible to account for the 'unexpected' in life. For example, here was I minding my own business after a full day at work (tendering a huge building project), when I noticed what appeared to be a businessman with a bluetooth device in his left ear ... staring straight at me whilst having a phone conversation.
At first I thought I'd suddenly grown a second head or something judging by the way he was scrutinising me ...Then after a few minutes, he wandered over to me ... look me in the eye and asked 'are you Matthew?' I was taken by surprise ... more so when he said 'is your wife Kristine?' I could only nod ... getting more apprehensive. He then revealed he was a regular visitor to A Light in the Darkness and he'd recognised me (??) from the odd picture or two on the blog.
'Are you any good? I have interests with stocks and shares in the States where companies often use psychics for guidance?'
I answered this shocking question with a 'yes' ...
'What then can you say about me?'
I went bottom line via the 'mystic switchboard' and gave him personal information relating to an acquired item of jewelery from his late Father. It was his Father who was talking directly to me. The 'businessman' was astounded, shocked, knocked for six ... but more than anything given ultimate proof.
I felt a little like the well known UK Medium, Lisa Williams, at this point ... where she goes on walk about in LA giving messages to random people. I'd not done this sort of thing for a few years and was pleasantly surprised that spirit chose to instantly connect with me when I still was in work-mode and needed a quick link!
Needless to say the Businessman took my phone numbers and said he will get in touch with me.
Let's hope a spirit will communicate with me in future who knows about stocks and shares!!!
Recognising Our Own Abundance
The most difficult time to be generous is when we ourselves are feeling poor. While some of us have experienced actually being in the red financially, there are those of us who would feel broke even if we had a million dollars in the bank. Either way, as the old adage goes, it is always in giving that we receive. Meaning that when we are living in a state of lack, the very gesture we may least want to give is the very act that could help us create the abundance that we seek. One way to practice generosity is to give energy where it is needed. Giving money to a cause or person in need is one way to give energy. Giving attention, love, or a smile to another person are other acts of giving that we can offer. After all, there are people all over the world that are hungry for love.
Sometimes when we practice generosity, we practice it conditionally. We might be expecting to “receive back” from the person to whom we gave. We might even become angry or resentful if that person doesn’t reciprocate. However, trust in the natural flow of energy, and you will find yourself practicing generosity with no strings attached. This is the purest form of giving. Remember that what you send out will always come back you. Selflessly help a friend in need without expecting them to return the same favor in the same way, and know that you, too, will receive that support from the universe when you need it. Besides, while giving conditionally creates stress (because we are waiting with an invisible balance sheet to receive our due), giving unconditionally creates and generates abundance. We give freely, because we trust that there is always an unlimited supply.Being aware of how much we are always supported by the universe is one of the keys to abundance and generosity. Consciously remember the times you’ve received support from expected and unexpected sources. Remember anyone who has helped you when you’ve needed it most, and bless all situations that come into your life for the lessons and gifts they bring you. Remember that all things given and received emanate from generosity. Giving is an act of gratitude. Plant the seeds of generosity through your acts of giving, and you will grow the fruits of abundance for yourself and those around you.
Tarot Card of the Day
She is often a woman who has experienced conflict and trauma, and learned from these. She's usually independent, forthright and self-motivated. As a friend she will be loyal and honest, though sometimes given to handing out unwelcome advice, and taking over.
As a parent she can be quite dominant, claiming that she wants her off spring to be self-reliant and confident, but sometimes tending to become impatient, and do things on their behalf in her own way, rather than allowing her children to make up their own minds.
She's a fighter, who does not suffer fools gladly. She will support and assist those who are vulnerable and needy, offering unceasing energy and determination. She takes up causes readily, and proves herself a worthy adversary. However she has a tendency not to know when to stop, and enjoys being at the forefront of the battle, rather than beavering away on the more routine aspects of any campaign.
This is a forceful and proud woman. She applies high standards to everything she becomes involved in. As a result, she can sometimes be somewhat intolerant of people who do things differently.
So - The Queen of Wands - a fine ally, and a dangerous enemy!

Rhythmic Sound & The Brain
Brain pattern studies conducted by researcher Melinda Maxfield into the (SSC) Shamanic State of Consciousness found that the steady rhythmic beat of the drum struck four and one half times per second was the key to transporting a shaman into the deepest part of his shamanic state of consciousness. It is no coincidence that 4.5 beats, or cycles per second corresponds to the trance like state of theta brain wave activity. In direct correlation, we see similar effects brought on by the constant and rhythmic drone of Tibetan Buddhist chants, which transport the monks and even other listeners into realms of blissful meditation. The gentle pulsating rhythms (binaural beat) of our brain synchronization tapes act in a similar fashion, yet because the frequencies are computer generated, they are precise, consistent and can be targeted to induce highly specific and desired brain states. Much like tuning a radio to get a particular station, our brain synchronization tapes can induce a variety of brain states. Effecting Alertness, Concentration, Focus & Cognition Relaxation, Visualization, & Creativity Intuition, Memory, Meditation Vivid Visual Imagery Deep Sleep, Detached Awareness
There are frequencies/rhythms which when dominant in the brain correlate with a specific state of mind. There are generally 4 groupings of brain waves:
1. Beta waves range between 13-40 HZ. The beta state is associated with peak concentration, heightened alertness and visual acuity. Nobel Prize Winner, Sir Francis Crick and other scientists believe that the 40HZ beta frequency used on many Brain Sync tapes may be key to the act of cognition.
2. Alpha waves range between 7-12 HZ. This is a place of deep relaxation, but not quite meditation. In Alpha, we begin to access the wealth of creativity that lies just below our conscious awareness - it is the gateway, the entry point that leads into deeper states of consciousness. Alpha is also the home of the window frequency known as the Schumann Resonance, which is the resonant frequency of the earth's electromagnetic field.
3. Theta waves range between 4-7 HZ. Theta is one of the more elusive and extraordinary realms we can explore. It is also known as the twilight state which we normally only experience fleetingly as we rise up out of the depths of delta upon waking, or drifting off to sleep. In theta we are in a waking dream, vivid imagery flashes before the mind's eye and we are receptive to information beyond our normal conscious awareness. During the Theta state many find they are capable of comprehending advanced concepts and relationships that become incomprehensible when returning to Alpha or Beta states. Theta has also been identified as the gateway to learning and memory. Theta meditation increases creativity, enhances learning, reduces stress and awakens intuition and other extrasensory perception skills. When the brain is in Theta it appears to balance sodium/potassium ratios which are responsible for the transport of chemicals through brain cell membranes. This appears to play a role in rejuvenating the fatigued brain.
4. Delta waves range between 0-4 HZ. Delta is associated with deep sleep. In addition, certain frequencies in the delta range trigger the release of Growth Hormone beneficial for healing and regeneration. This is why sleep, deep restorative sleep is so essential to the healing process.

Contrived. Two cycles of three fishes brings joy. Two more turns of the wheel … two more phases of fishes … and there is joy.
Two different elements. King and Page of the House of Birds and Queen of the House of Serpents. The Page is linked to the King, who is not of the House of Serpents. The Page created between House of Birds and House of Serpents. The Vessel held by forces of the house of Birds. Somewhere in desolations reaches, trained in the way of the warrior. In the way of a dedicated path. Safe … away from the storm clouds that brew over the sky.
The Queen of Serpents holds the path of the arrow to her solar plexus. She holds the salamander in her right hand. The King of Birds holds the sword .. and has the wisdom in his hands. It is his House behind the deed. Indirectly. Carefully planned … cold blooded and calculated. There is a wild cat of retribution before the Queen … she believes that someone deliberately planned the events … she has her suspects but she looks in a different direction to where the King of Birds resides.

Hellenistic Astrology
Source: Astrology Weekly
Hellenistic astrology got its name from the region and period in which it was practiced - Hellenistic Egypt during the Hellenistic Period. It is believed that the practice of it began some time in the 3rd century (around the time of Alexander's conquest) until the 6th or 7th century CE, although the exact period is unknown. This type of astrology had a big influence on other types of astrology including Indian, Arabian, and European astrology.
It was during the time of Alexander the Great's conquest of the Persian Empire that so many different cultures came under the same rule and the same official language for the first time. Alexandria, Egypt was the center of all this multi-cultural activity. Among the thoughts and ideas that prospered from this blending of cultures was astrology. Astrologers like Berossus began doing horoscope interpretation. Yet some Hellenistic astrologers believe that it was Hermes Trismegistus, a mythical sage that was a combination of the Greek God Hermes and the Egyptian God Thoth, that created the horoscope system used during Hellenistic times and then handed the system down to Egyptian Pharaoh Nechepso and his priest Petosiris.Hellenistic astrology consists of three major subdivisions. The first subdivisions, Universal astrology, is used to predict events that will affect a large group of people, such as something weather related like a tsunami or a natural disaster such as an earthquake or disease epidemic. It can also include man made calamities such as war.
The second subdivision, Natal astrology, involves using an individual's birth time and date to create a birth chart. This will determine not only their personality traits, but also the paths they will take in life.
The final subdivision is Katarchic astrology. This uses electional astrology, which helps individuals know the best time to do something according to their chart. A person might use electional astrology to help them pick the perfect date for their wedding. Katarchic astrology will use event astrology as well, which helps people understand all the details of a particular event.
Many aspects of Hellenistic astrology are still used today in other branches of astrology. The concept of Houses, which set Hellenistic astrology apart of other types practiced at the same time, is still used today and that was developed during the time of Hellenistic astrology. Birth charts are also still used to tell a person's horoscope and life path. Hellenistic astrology also developed the concept of Lots. There are more than twelve lots, but the Lot of Fortune is one of the most important. It can be calculated as Ascendant + Moon - Sun.

Exploring the Soul
While many people do relate their spirituality to a God or Goddess, this quest for the divine, or oneness with the universe, always springs from within. It doesn’t matter where you find your spiritual path. We are all fundamentally spiritual beings and the essence of that lies in knowing one’s true self and finding a peace that comes from within rather than the outside world. It is in remembering this that we awaken to our personal path. The spiritual path springs forth from a daily routine that reaffirms our personal connection with a purpose or a way of life. Practicing compassion, gratitude, appreciation, forgiveness, generosity, meditation, and taking care of one’s wellbeing can all be a part of one’s spiritual life.
If you are new to exploring your personal spirituality, remember that this is a process. You may want to spend a few moments each day giving yourself a spiritual gift. Try a new form of meditation, visit a sanctuary, or explore a specific deity. Accepting the importance of spirituality can be a healthy decision, because a spiritual practice tends to include habits that promote healthy living.
Take the time to carefully determine the action, thought, and ritual that most speaks to your soul. Remember that your most profound spiritual experiences may also come from the simple intricacies that make up your life. See the interconnectedness of all things. As you explore your “inner work,” you will be walking your spiritual path and feeling your oneness with the universe.
Man Utd 0 v 0 Villarreal (AGAIN!!!)
Manchester United were held to a goalless draw by Villarreal in their opening Champions League group game.Thought For The Day
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

Mystery Space Machines
The ongoing series seen exclusively on Rense.com featuring the work of John Walson is, arguably, the most remarkable, strange, worrying, and disconcerting space photography yet - with the exception of the staggering images from Hubble Space Telescope.
This next installment begins with an eerie, weird space machine hovering above Earth. Here are two stills from the video taken by John in the darkest of night in the English countryside. What a strange, bizarre object. Look at the non-linear shapes, the curves, the strange angles. What is this thing? And what is its purpose?
Spooky spirits snapped on film
The snapper of this shot thought he was taking an innocent photo of his new bar refit. And the pub owner from Whitley Bay, Newcastle upon Tyne is adamant there was no one behind the bar at the time.
But look closely and you’ll see the figure of a barmaid behind the beer pumps.
The picture, taken with an old style camera, showed no signs of tampering when it was sent to experts
Buffalo Medicine
Abundance, prosperity, standing one’s ground and protection of resources are just part of what Buffalo represents on an energy level. In Ted Andrews book Animal Speak he says in reference to Buffalo that “The Lord helps those who help themselves” and that the Lakota Sioux believed that right action combined with right prayer resulted in the manifestation of all that is wanted or needed.
How many times has anyone heard that someone wants something, be it money, a new relationship, a new job, etc. and yet the person wants someone else to do it all for them! When Buffalo appears to us, it is at this time that we ourselves need to take action on our own behalf and then and only then can we provide a channel for the manifestation to flow through to us from the Universe.People who carry strong Buffalo medicine often find themselves called upon to shoulder some very heavy burdens by others. For some, this can be a joy, though even so, many end up feeling drained and exhausted if they find they are trying to do for everyone and leaving little time and energy left over for themselves. All of us need a shoulder to cry on or support now and again yet for Buffalo people too often there are simply too many folks who want the Buffalo energy to shoulder all their problems while they do little to help themselves.
The tragedy is not only does the Buffalo person feel drained, but also those that rely on them never learn how to empower themselves through dealing directly with their own issues. Both parties lose in the long run. It is important that Buffalo people in general learn early on how to teach others to be empowered and to rely on their own abilities and strengths. Buffalo people are outstanding at showing others how to clear doubts and fears out of the way so others can get on with things. Just as during the winter months a Buffalo will use it’s massive head and shoulders to move snow out of the way so it can feed on the plants below, so too do we need to learn how to move those things in our lives that are blocking what we are seeking.
Buffalo medicine and people can teach us how to do this, though we must be prepared to shoulder the inner work ourselves if we are to gain maximum benefit. One of the ways that Buffalo people can teach others is by their own lives as examples. They simply get on with needs to be done, day in and day out, they perservere and always they stand their ground. They refuse to give in if they honestly feel that what they are pursuing has merit and possibility. It is important that those who carry Buffalo medicine remember to use their energy and resources wisely. Often these people have a tendency to be overly generous, they feel so blessed in their own lives that their desire is to share what they have with others! This is a wonderful trait and yet the Buffalo person must also learn whom to share with and to what degree. Sometimes the best gift one can give another is a push to stand on their own two feet and learn from their mistakes.
If one is always charging in to "rescue" someone, that person never has the opportunity to learn that they CAN do it on their own! Show support by helping people find ways to help and empower themselves. As the saying goes "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime". Buffalo people do have such a deep, innate sense of trust in the Universe, knowing that they have the power and strength within to manifest so much that is good and beautiful in the world! Affirming that belief to others can do so much more than you may ever know in terms of helping others to manifest more good for themselves. Buffalo people often have great patience and strength of will as well.
Don't taunt Buffalo unless you fancy being smashed to smithereens! Buffalo people because of this may find that they need to learn to express their anger cleanly and cautiously. One may not realize just how awe inspiring one can be when angered, the energy that is coming through is not just your own but that of Buffalo as well! Some of you may err on the side of too much patience, allowing things to build up until you have a good head of steam going so its important to respond more quickly to your anger by examining where the source of it is really coming from instead of just the triggering person/event itself. Yet too, sometimes one needs to get really angry at an injustice or a situation that has simply been borne for too long! Using your heart as well as your head to determine what action is truly needed is the best route to take. If after taking action you find that things have not shifted, well, sometimes there is a need in the world for one to put their head down and charge!
Health issues for Buffalo people can include problems with the head and back. Migraines, muscles spasms in the middle of the back or neck, pinched nerves can be problems. General tightness in the upper shoulders (usualy from trying to carry too many burdens!) can also contribute to severe headaches including migraines. Feeling exhausted or depressed can also indicate that you have been trying to carry too big a load and its time to shake a few things or people off your back! B vitamins are often helpful for Buffalo people as are vegetables and grains of all sorts. Chewing your food thoroughly and slowly will maximize the nutritional benefits. I have also met a surprising number of Buffalo people with stomach ulcers, again an indication too much of a load is being carried coupled with some deep seated resentment. It really is okay to say "NO!" and mean it, though I know full well its not always the easiest thing to do! Many health problems are usually related to stress so it is vital that those who carry Buffalo medicine learn to allow themselves some "down time" at least once a day.
Some folks who carry Buffalo medicine have said to me that they feel they are "slower" than others in that they prefer to take their time when making decisions or have trouble grasping opportunities when they arise. While there may be issues within that are needing to be cleared or an outer circumstance in our lives that we need to take some sort of action on, this does not mean any old action will do. It also requires proper thought and attention to the signs and signals that the Universe is sending us. Again, when we look at the Buffalo’s massive head, it says to us we need to be more aware, paying more attention to what is going on within our own minds. We may have overstuffed our heads with thoughts that life is difficult and a struggle, certainly that will only attract more of what we don’t want.
We may be so caught up in the belief that nothing will ever change and we are doomed to staying in the same old same old that our head on an energy level is swollen with these thoughts and thus blocking us from achieving more good in our lives. We all tend to wake up each day expecting the new day to be as the past days were.
There are all sorts of possibilities and potentials right now that cannot manifest if you insist that today is like every other day you have ever had. What would it feel like to just stop for a moment and allow it to sink in that right now, this day, is unlike any other? How does that feel to you?” It really struck me then that right at that moment anything could happen. There was a deep sense of a door opening and of looking into the very heart of the Universe and seeing all the possibilities.
Such a simple, quick meditation, what would it feel like to really get it that everything is open to you right now? And how often can you do it throughout your day, just be open, ask for something new, anything that makes you feel excited or gives you a feeling of aliveness.
Buffalo says we have the inner strength and will to achieve our goals if we are willing to keep pushing the “snow” in our own lives aside. It may not always be easy and at times we may believe we can’t do any more, but that’s when we need to stop and really listen, ask ourselves if what we are trying to manifest is what we really want or if it’s something we have led ourselves to believe we want. If we really truly want something, we can always find a way to achieve it. Yes it may take time, sometimes a very long time, yes we may have to work on fears or doubts or feelings of unworthiness, yes it may take some bloody hard graft to achieve. But if we truly want it we will find a way.
Buffalo brings many positive messages when it appears in our lives and for those who carry its medicine, these are a few of the things that can be focused on the bring greater abundance and joy into one's life:
Ex-Illuminati Programmer Svali interview
Her task was then to program others in similar ways, so each and every person within the group could be assigned different tasks and accomplish them without hesitation or protest. These tasks could be anything from prostitution to brutal murder.Like many others born into the Illuminati, from her birth in Germany Svali had no choice in her future, as her wealthy, rich and powerful parents charted her course as a "Chosen Child" from an early age.
Told she was "special and born to rule over the masses" to make a better world, Svali recalls going to regular Illuminati meetings with other "chosen children" at least three times a week after moving from Germany to Virginia and then finally to San Diego.Svali later managed to escape from the Illuminati, after she started "waking up", realizing how destructive it was what she was doing. She kept herself in hiding for years and was very reluctant to giving interviews, afraid of being caught. However, in January of 2006 she decided to do an interview with the anti New World Order radio host Greg Szymanski. Approximately six months after the interview, Svali disappeared and has not been heard from! A friend of hers said she suspect the worst.
Either the Illuminati killed her or she is brought back into the cult to be 'tuned up' as they call it. It means she will be re-programmed so she can stay within the cult. Maybe time will tell what happened to her.In the interview with Greg Szymanski, Svali explains how the Illuminati organization is structured, in general. It is of course much, much more complex than this, but she lined out the backbone of it.
Illuminati Conspiracy: Planning Economic Collapse
The company, Moody, were already on the ropes Monday when its stock crumbled to $4.75 from $11, %60 in one day. It was down from a $70 52-week-high. The company had gone to the Fed for a bailout. It was estimated it needed $40 billion.
Because of the Moody's downgrade, it emerges that it will need alot more money to avert bankruptcy. This is a massive company that holds the pensions of millions of employees. A money manager estimated that a trillion dollars would be lost if AIG declares bankruptcy. The whole world's financial system could be taken down. Banks in the Far East were already acting like this is inevitable, and the collapse already has been set in motion.
The bottom line is that Tuesday and the rest of this week could be ugly so be prepared. The second bottom line is that this Depression like the last appears to be caused by a deliberate contraction of credit. House prices are falling because banks don't have the money to lend to house buyers. As a result, portfolios holding mortgage backed securities are tumbling, taking banks with them. The Fed, after bailing out Fannie May and Fredie Mack, have let Lehman Brothers fail. AIG appears to be next and the dominoes will continue to fall.
At this time, it is important to remember that an Illuminati defector known as "Svali" said she was taught that the "end of the world" scenario involved an economic collapse. Remember the Illuminati is a Masonic cult founded and funded by the central bankers who own the Fed.
It is reputed that the New World Order will be ushered in with continued conflict in the Mideast, with a severe threat of nuclear war being the culmination of these hostilities. An economic collapse that will devastate the economy of the US and Europe, much like the great depression.
One reason that our economy continues limping along is the artificial supports that the Federal Reserve had given it, manipulating interest rates, etc. But one day, this won't work (or this leverage will be withdrawn on purpose) and the next great depression will hit.
The government will call in its bonds and loans, and credit card debts will be called in. There will be massive bankruptcies nationwide. Europe will stabilize first, and Germany, France and England (surprise) will have the strongest economies, and will institute through the UN an international currency. Japan will also pull out, although their economy will be weakened.Peacekeeping forces will be sent out by the UN and local bases to prevent riots. The leaders will reveal themselves, and people will be asked to make a pledge of loyalty during a time of chaos and financial devastation.
Doesn't sound pleasant, does it?It's not known what the time frame is, but it is time to pay attention to what is occurring financially in the world ... and be prepared for distractions that will permit this introduction of the NWO to the world.
The good news is that if a person is debt-free, owes nothing to the government or credit debt, and can live self sufficiently, they may do better than others. I would invest in gold, not stocks, if I had the income.

Resisting the Urge to Control
The right to make your own choices is a precious one. We grow when we have the freedom to decide our own paths and determine what makes us happy. Yet there are those who are inclined to try and control others. They may be driven by insecurity, envy, fear, or the need for power. These people are deeply critical of themselves in their own minds, and underlying that critical nature is unhappiness. Their need to feel sure-footed and secure is quenched by controlling those around them, whether they are friends, colleagues, or even pets. However, nearly everyone has found themselves imposing their will upon others at one time or another.Trying to impose your will on others can be tempting for many reasons. You may feel that your way is the best way or that you have a keener insight into the direction their life should be taking. But, in imposing your will, you are indirectly saying, “I want to control you.” Even when you have the best of intentions, others may end up resenting you for your actions. It is always helpful to remember that it is possible to influence people and change their behavior through education or example without imposing your will on them.
If you’ve caught yourself being a bit bossy on a regular basis, make a note of it. Write down what the situation was and why you acted the way you did. You may have pushed a friend to try something new, because deep inside you wanted to try it yourself but were feeling hesitant. Or you may be unjustly interfering with work teammates, because you aren’t sure of their abilities. Next, make an effort to understand and accept their preferences and ways of doing things. It can feel natural to impose your will when you feel that you “know best.” But there is a freedom to trusting others to find their own methods and joys, even when they might differ from yours. Sometimes the best course of action is to step back and relinquish control. You may, in doing so, see everything from a different point of view.
UK gets upside down rainbow
The phenomenon, rarely seen outside polar regions, was spotted by astronomer Dr Jacqueline Mitton, 60, near her home in Cambridge.Rainbows are caused by light penetrating raindrops.
But the inverted type, called a circumzenithal arc, happens when sunlight bounces off ice crystals high in the atmosphere sending the rays back up.
Dr Mitton said: “It was amazing.”
