Allowing Our Loved Ones to Be Human

When we fall in love with someone or make a new friend, we sometimes see that person in a glowing light. Their good qualities dominate the foreground of our perception and their negative qualities. They just don't seem to have any. This temporary state of grace is commonly known as putting someone on a pedestal. Often times we put spiritual leaders and our gurus on pedestals. We have all done this to someone at one time or another, and as long as we remember that no one is actually "perfect," the pedestal phase of a relationship can be enjoyed for what it is—a phase. It's when we actually believe our own projection that troubles arise. Everyone has problems, flaws, and blind spots, just as we do. When we entertain the illusion that someone is perfect, we don't allow them room to be human, so when they make an error in judgment or act in contradiction to our idea of perfection, we become disillusioned. We may get angry or distance ourselves in response. In the end, they are not to blame for the fact that we idealized them. Granted, they may have enjoyed seeing themselves as perfect through our eyes, but we are the ones who chose to believe an illusion. If you go through this process enough times, you learn that no one is perfect. We are all a combination of divine and human qualities and we all struggle. When we treat the people we love with this awareness, we actually allow for a much greater intimacy than when we held them aloft on an airy throne. The moment you see through your idealized projection is the moment you begin to see your loved one as he or she truly is. We cannot truly connect with a person when we idealize them. In life, there are no pedestals—we are all walking on the same ground together. When we realize this, we can own our own divinity and our humanity. This is the key to balance and wholeness within ourselves and our relationships.

Hawk Flight

Today must rate as one of the most satisfying days of the year so far ... for many reasons. Mainly as I was able to put behind me the annoying nemesis which had been like the albatross around my shoulder since I walked away from a TV  show in August 2011. The albatross lifted today when I received some very interesting information relating to the show. For those there I still care about, and there are several, I wish them all the best for the future. For those others who have acted unprofessionally & immaturely, I thank you for your reactions and actions. Your actions taught me so much about myself ... showed me how far I had travelled since the last time I had TV work in my sights back in the UK. Through you I saw the potential self  I could have been back then If I'd proceeded with that path; I wasn't spiritually evolved enough back then to handle the attention, but didn't realise it at the time ...!

Enough said ... but your actions have spurred me on to much better things ... directions I would not have taken had you been mature enough to accept me on the show. I'm glad really. This is so much better!! No sour grapes from me ... I have circulated the proof I DID walk away from the show to where it matters. Believe me I was constantly turned down for the nights I requested going on the show ... which was the only times I could get on by the way! Instead I was either turned down, ignored or offered nights which SHE knew I couldn't do. In the end enough was enough ... and I walked away. I recently learned of the rumour being spread ... that I had been SACKED from this show due to me once being honest about me being unable to get a link through my mediumship!!! Yes ... once I said on live TV I didn't have a mediumship connection!!! It is impossible to get a connection EVERY time if you do it correctly ... making it up you can say you have a connection every time. So instead of making it up ... which I know does happen on the show ... I stated that I didn't have a connection with the person the viewer wanted. Honesty was not the best policy in this instance ... which made me question the integrity of the show and let me see it in a different light ... it's not there to deliver the light!!! Finally I had enough when competitive elements within the program started having me ousted from other places outside of the show ... !!! That was then ... this is now .... forgotten.

I'm staring now at a VERY busy program of events ahead which would not have occurred if I hadn't got the grief and the hassle I did from this "bunch". The loser wins!!! I have made history twice with that program .... I was the FIRST Medium from Canberra on a TV show and I was the FIRST medium to have his profile taken off a certain web page!!! - Matthew James

Color Psychology and Spirituality

Colour psychology is closely related to cultural associations with various colors. Color psychology affects nearly every area of life: clothing, interior design, graphic design, computer interface design, fine art and food choices. The study of color psychology and color symbolism also reveals an in-depth perspective on both society and the beliefs of individuals. Accordingly, color symbolism has always played a major role in religious symbolism and religious rituals. Yellow, blue and red are the primary colors and are mixed to create secondary colors: green, orange and purple. The basic colors of the spectrum are the most fundamental colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. These colors combine with each other and with white and black to create all of the other colors that we see...read more>>>...

The 6 Most Horrifying Lies The Food Industry is Feeding You

Mysterious UFOs stun teen

A WIGAN teenager was left stunned after photographing three bizarre UFOs above his home. The youth, 19, who doesn't wish to be identified, captured the objects on his iphone as they hovered in the skies above his house in Swinley on Sunday evening. He said: "I was just getting into my car and looked up to see these three black objects in the sky pretty much above me. I managed to rattle of a picture or two but when I nipped back inside to tell my mum to come and have a look they had gone. "I'd say they were about as big as a house but perfectly round and there was three of them spaced evenly apart. I'm not sure but I also thought I heard a bit of a humming noise." There have been a spate of UFO sightings in Wigan in the recent months and while most sightings can be explained away as chinese lanterns, kites or other legitimate flying objects, some, like these, are harder to explain. "They weren't moving, floating or doing anything - they were perfectly still, it was eerie but I felt totally at ease looking up at them," said the dumbfounded teenager...read more>>>...

Heaven is not a place or a condition. It is merely an awareness of perfect oneness-- A Course In Miracles

Everyone has a psychological bucket that they carry around, and we fill it with our stuff. In the beginning the bucket is empty, and we seem to get away with a lot of things. There seems to be no consequences to our actions. Eventually, the bucket gets full and the crap starts to hit the fan. It starts to cover everything in our lives and we don’t know where it’s all coming from-- The Daily Guru

Different Ways of Navigating

We're all in the same boat. We just have different paddles, and perhaps we find ourselves on different rivers. We all live in human bodies. These are the vehicles in which we move through our world. We are all made of flesh, blood, and bone, with brains, hearts, and lungs to power us. Our paddles—the tools we use to move through the world—vary, as do the bodies of water—the environments—in which we find ourselves. Some of us use our high IQs to get where we want to go. Some of use our smiles, others use kindness, a gift with language, or athletic ability. Some of these qualities we were born with and others are skills we have learned. Considering this metaphor in light of your own life can be very enlightening. What tools are you using to get from point A to point B in your life? Chances are, you and the people you know have used many different tools in various combinations throughout your lives to get where you needed to go. Just as with oars or paddles, a balanced approach is best. If you rely too much on one thing, like beauty, to open doors, you fail to be well-rounded and you may eventually lose your equilibrium. And if you lose that one quality, you have no paddle at all. This is inspiration to develop multiple tools to navigate your world. Some of us may be moving along paths that are like rushing rivers; others may be on a large, still lake. We have all felt, at one time or another, tossed about on a stormy ocean. Through all this, we are never really alone, even though it might seem that way. There is inspiration all around us in the form of other people making their way through the world, in the very same boat. Remember to look around you for role models, companionship, and encouragement.

Quote For The Day

"There are only two ways to live your life: One is as though nothing is a miracle, The other is as though everything is a miracle. I believe in the latter." -- Albert Einstein

The Wisdom of Sharing

There are many variations on the story of stone soup, but they all involve a traveler coming into a town beset by famine. The inhabitants try to discourage the traveler from staying, fearing he wants them to give him food. They tell him in no uncertain terms that there's no food anywhere to be found. The traveler explains that he doesn't need any food and that, in fact, he was planning to make a soup to share with all of them. The villagers watch suspiciously as he builds a fire and fills a cauldron with water. With great ceremony, he pulls a stone from a bag, dropping the stone into the pot of water. He sniffs the brew extravagantly and exclaims how delicious stone soup is. As the villagers begin to show interest, he mentions how good the soup would be with just a little cabbage in it. A villager brings out a cabbage to share. This episode repeats itself until the soup has cabbage, carrots, onions, and beets—indeed, a substantial soup that feeds everyone in the village. This story addresses the human tendency to hoard in times of deprivation. When resources are scarce, we pull back and put all of our energy into self-preservation. We isolate ourselves and shut out others. As the story of stone soup reveals, in doing so, we often deprive ourselves and everyone else of a feast. This metaphor plays out beyond the realm of food. We hoard ideas, love, and energy, thinking we will be richer if we keep to them to ourselves, when in truth we make the world, and ourselves, poorer whenever we greedily stockpile our reserves. The traveler was able to see that the villagers were holding back, and he had the genius to draw them out and inspire them to give, thus creating a spread that none of them could have created alone. Are you like one of the villagers, holding back? If you come forward and share your gifts, you will inspire others to do the same. The reward is a banquet that can nourish many.

A Word on 'the Crown Chakra'

CROWN CHAKRA, (Top of head, Purple / violet energy colour)
The pineal gland lies deep within the brain and produces melatonin. This hormone affects the other glands in the endocrine system and mirrors the Crown Chakra's relationship with the other Chakra's. This gland and Chakra hold sway over the entire system.

POSSIBLE PHYSICAL AREAS AFFECTED BY AN OUT OF BALANCE CHAKRA: Exhaustion, Epilepsy, Cerebrum, Pineal Gland, Right Eye. Issues are - Spiritual Wisdom.

The Crown Chakra is associated with the central nervous system/Pineal gland. It is the centre of enlightenment, dynamic thought, truth and oneness. The Crown Chakra governs the top of the spinal cord, brain stem, pain centre and nerves. This Chakra is about wisdom and being one with the world. When this Chakra is open, you are unprejudiced and quite aware of the world and yourself. If it is under-active, you are not very aware spiritually. You are probably quite rigid in your thinking. If this Chakra is over-active, you are probably intellectualising things too much. You may be addicted to spirituality and probably ignoring your bodily needs. (Healing From The Heart)

When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him, you will see yourself ... for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself-- A Course In Miracles

It doesn't matter how long we may have been stuck in a sense of our limitations. If we go into a darkened room and turn on the light, it doesn't matter if the room has been dark for a day, a week, or ten thousand years -- we turn on the light and it is illuminated. Once we control our capacity for love and happiness, the light has been turned on.

"A Victorious Dawn"

A lightning bolt and the ritual is complete
The lone figure stands with arms held high ... aloft
The mark of infinity carved in the rock ... the anvil of power
The role play heralding the result ... a tryst with the ancient ones ... the elders
 ... now a certainty
Ambassadors wait to unite on a physical world
Now that the vibrations match and a door swings open wide.
The danger’s over now ... and he can relinquish his wards of power
Bidding thanks to the four quarters he leaves the circle round behind
and re-sheaths the ceremonial dagger,
The conduit has closed and contact with the distant world now lost
A bridge formed with a realm lost once but now rekindled
The time of darkness over, now that the incarnates have thrived.
The fear is ceasing now ... the tides are turning
The high priest allows a smile to cross his lips,
His task has been fulfilled this night ... aware is he of his legacy
Hybrid blood courses through his veins, his identity hidden
A cowl surrounds his physical form ... born with disability
Glassy sheens surround him reflecting back his elvan light
So the dark ones know not he has descended

His white mischief reaching its mark ...
Forms of power descend ...too many for the dark ones to contain

Their rule of dominance is over on this lesser world
The struggle for power lost now to the lords of light
Re-connection now made with the one remaining interim world
Connection made and memories returning

Total control is lost ...
The conduit to grow stronger and grow wider with time

As more and more lights shine
As more and more minds start to hear
and less souls listen to the lies cast into the realm of the slowest thoughts
The manifest plane freed from its chains now.
The High Priest turns and walks away from the sacred circle
and gazes across the hillside towards the horizon
Spying the darkened dawn ... the moment before first light
In this realm he knows the dark lords power wanes but the madness has yet to lessen
Confusion and chaos still reign all across the lands
But it will soon pass and the dawn will rise
Heralding the new dawn the dark ones fought so hard to prevent.
With honour and deepest respect for his invisible kin
The high priest un-sheaths his knife and scratches the sign of victory in a nearby stone
The time of peace will soon arrive now ....

Rune of The Day - SIGIL

The Rune SIGEL - is my truimph rune. The indication of victory and successful ventures. It means that light has prevailed over darkness .... light is truth and honesty; darkness is jealousy, hatred, envy. Often the latter creates many of the obstacles & barriers we encounter in life. Our society is geared up to judge people based on norms and what we need to do to conform. So few folk will speak up and stand against the tide. So few of us dare to be different or unique or are brave enough to stand our ground when the hurricane wind blows in our face. This rune is indication that truth has prevailed and restored harmony in a situation. Contrasts are not spirit. Contrasts and opposition are illusion. Infinite love is all there is ... this card indicates this harmony. When this rune appears in a casting or spread it means that the querent has overcome a major dose of negative opposition - copyright Matthew James

Japan defence firm Mitsubishi Heavy in cyber attack

Japan's top weapons maker has confirmed it was the victim of a cyber attack reportedly targeting data on missiles, submarines and nuclear power plants. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) said viruses were found on more than 80 of its servers and computers last month. The government said it was not aware of any leak of sensitive information. But the defence ministry has demanded MHI carry out a full investigation. Officials were angered after learning of the breach from local media reports. Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, Japan's defence minister Yasuo Ichikawa said the cyber attackers had not succeeded in accessing any important information but MHI would be instructed "to undertake a review of their information control systems. The ministry will continue to monitor the problem and conduct investigations if necessary," Mr Ichikawa added...read more>>>...

Avoiding Artificial Sweeteners? They Are In The Drinking Water

For those of you who are aware of the health dangers posed by artificial sweeteners and dutifully avoid them, the featured study findings may come as a shocking surprise... Researchers have found that the artificial sweetener sucralose (Splenda) is a widespread contaminant in waste water, surface water, and ground water. In a recent test, water samples from 19 U.S. drinking water treatment plants serving more than 28 million people were analyzed for sucralose. The sweetener was found to be present in:

•The source water of 15 out of 19 of drinking water treatment plants tested

•The finished water of 13 out of 17 plants, and

•In 8 out of 12 water distribution systems

The average amounts of sucralose in source water and finished water was 440 ng/L and 350 ng/L respectively...read more>>>...

False Perception- A Modern Philosophy

Consider the old saying that perception is 9/10th of reality. I was never a fan of this saying since it can be such an easy outlet to take everything at face value rather than to seek the truth. Instead, let us consider that reality is but 1/10th of reality. It is important to note that early Greek philosophers made the common mistake of basing their reality on their often flawed sense perception since they lacked sophisticated scientific equipment capable of measuring and calculating the world around us. In fact, it was not until thousands of years later that humankind could more accurately calculate and determine atomic structure with microscopes while advanced telescopes were used to ascertain cosmic distance, to name a few examples. Based on the leaps and bounds of modern science and the ability to closely examine the world around us, we now know that what we perceive, as humans, is only reliant on 5 human senses which remain greatly biased according to our own prejudices and beliefs (The 6th Sense is another topic for another time which still remains unknown). Exploring the deeper realm of existence, as a whole, the sole reality in which we are aware is only a small granule in the grand scheme of existence. We are often guilty in assuming that humankind is the Alpha and Omega of this particular universe; mistakenly, we still believe that our acknowledgement of another realm of existence can only be validated by humans. However, many things exist independently from the human realm with no connection to the fate of humankind. This goes back to the old argument which asks "If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" Rather than define sound, it is much easier for us to think it does not make a sound because we, as humans, are not there to hear it. Pretty selfish, don you think? But the answer lies in the definition of sound which is a vibration of waves in a liquid or solid. Hearing is the ability to confirm the presence of sound. Therefore, it does still make a sound in the woods even if humans are not there to hear it....read more>>>...

A Soulful Cure

Since time immemorial, certain men and women have felt called to heal the sick, to safeguard knowledge, to guide the lost, and to commune with the spirit world. These unique individuals, known as shamans, were mystics and seers, repositories of wisdom, and keepers of herbal lore. During those periods when ignorance loomed large in the world, shamans across the globe bided their time, peacefully practicing their practical yet refined arts in the jungle, mountains, deserts, and tundra that protected them from those who misunderstood shamanism. Today, however, shamanism has reemerged, as modern men and women feel the same call to service that their ancestors felt long ago. Also, as more individuals explore the notion that healing necessarily involves the soul as well as the physical self, people are consulting shamans in their search for wellness, wisdom, and guidance. The word shaman literally means "he or she who knows." Shamanism is an art that has not changed in any quantifiable way for millennia and is not bound to any particular form of spirituality. It is grounded on the principle that the visible world is saturated with unseen forces that influence the lives of human beings. Shamans, in addition to acting as fonts of wisdom, are dedicated to diagnosing and curing human suffering—whether emotional, physical, or spiritual. To treat an illness, a shaman may communicate with the spirit world in order to connect more directly with the soul of their patient or with the force causing ill health. They often work closely with animal guides, plant and earth spirits, or your spirit guides, and may make use of use of herbal remedies to supplement other forms of treatment. Shamans, as intermediaries between the physical and spiritual realms, recognize that all objects are in manner alive and retain information that can be utilized to heal. Shamanism is powerful in part because its practitioners tailor healing to the individual needs of those who seek them out. A shaman manipulates energy, giving you power where you have lost it and removing misplaced energy lurking within you. When you seek out a shaman, they will endeavor to know and understand you before treating you. In this way, they can provide you with therapies that act on your whole being, positively influencing your body as well as your soul.

Today's Inspiration

"Wherever you go in the midst of movement and activity, carry your stillness within you. Then the chaotic movement around you will never overshadow your access to the reservoir of creativity, the field of pure potentiality." -- Deepak Chopra

Rune of The Day - EH

The Rune EH is what I always term 'the personal power rune' ... it represents the power of self expression and personal freedom. In ancient days the horse was the totem of power and esteem; the more horses you had the more powerful you were. The bigger your horses the same. We are governed in modern society by the power (or lack of power) of EH. So many of us have our personal freedom taken away from us ... by being locked in the stable and seeing the paddock we should be wandering through. Then life presents us the opportunity to be in the paddock by opening the stable door ... but how many are aware or will take that chance??? Eh presents that power part of our psyche ... the ability to truly be ourselves and embrace the power of self. Once embraced we can move the mental mountains that life puts before us ... with the power of EH working to our advantage no rival can stand in our way - copyright Matthew James

Buddhist Inspiration ...

Lifetimes of ignorance have brought us to identify the whole of our being with ego. Its greatest triumph is to inveigle us into believing its best interests are our best interests, and even into identifying our very survival with its own. This is a savage irony, considering that ego and its grasping are at the root of all our suffering. Yet, ego is so terribly convincing, and we have been its dupe for so long, that the thought that we might ever become egoless terrifies us. To be egoless, ego whispers to us, is to lose all the rich romance of being human, to be reduced to a colourless robot or a brain-dead vegetable.

David Icke - Truth Vibrations 2 (Awakening of the Great Spirit)

Gripe Of The Day - "Ego Madness"

There was a good discussion with a respected medium, and close friend, tonight about the state of the New Age Industry at the moment. All the five minute wonders out there who have their egos out of control, and in the driving seat. Claiming to be things which they clearly are not ... and giving the genuine ones a bad name. 'The problem is ... if we don't say anything about it, then the public think we are like them, and are accepting of it. And, if we say something, we are seen to be bitching about others and therefore jealous. It is a no win situation'. I could only shake my head in agreement, it is so true. The industry is ruined by false ego ...we should all be unified in our task - to offer honest guidance to the needing, and to prove (Give ABSOLUTE validation of life after death ... this is not the guesswork messages that so many THINK is mediumship). Instead the general public are being RIPPED OFF by these charlatans who ruin it all for the genuines. The genuine medium is generally humble, ego balanced, caring, loving ... and an easy target for these charlatans to backstab. We have both seen it go on ... are victims of it. Indeed I spoke with TWO other genuine mediums yesterday at a Psychic Expo, who are being backstabbed by the SAME charalatan. That is THREE genuine souls who are being attacked for being the genuine article ... and offering true guidance and absolute validation to people. Because this exposes the other as a fraud ... they are stood on and attacked. This is going on in an industry that SHOULD be unified ... but it is ... like most places in the world at the moment ... under a hateful attack to ensure its parts are kept seperate and therefore a toothless force. It is working ... and the charlatans are the ambassadors of a dark force hellbent on keeping us all powerless by divide and rule.

This is my 2nd Gripe Of The Day in a week ... but after hearing the hellish things going on at the moment ... I have to say these things. Closer to home for me ... a 'trainee'  driven crazily by an out of control ego is pushing me to a point of real disgust. 'Forgive them they know not what they do' springs to mind ... but this example is madness personified. I am astonished at the display from this soul ... but not surprised. I've witnessed ego madness many times before. I feel terribly sorry for the members of the public who are the victims in all of this ... they part with hard earned money to be fooled by these charlatans. I also feel upset for the industry in general with these so called 'mediums' who are self professed 'charioteers' of the industry. So called leaders and experts. Believe me ... they know not what they do or say. They are not what they claim and they do not do what they profess to do! They are in the land of illusion, totally believing they can do these things ... but it is their path. I merely observe their madness and step aside when the next barrage of toy bullets fly towards me ... MJ

Wild Wisdom

Since prehistoric times, animals have acted as companions to humans on their journey toward enlightenment. Animals as disparate in character as house pets, birds, sea creatures, and insects have been our mentors, teachers, and guides. There is much we can learn from animals, as they offer us the unique opportunity to transcend the human perspective. Unlike human teachers, animals can only impart their wisdom by example, and we learn from them by observation. An animal teacher can be a beloved pet or an animal in the wild. You may even find yourself noticing the animals in your backyard. Even robins and bumblebees have lessons to share with you. Animals teach us in a variety of ways about behavior, habit, and instinct. House pets embody an unconditional love that remains unchanged in the face of our shape, size, age, race, or gender. They care little for the differences between us and them and simply enjoy loving and being loved. Our pets encourage us to let our guards down, have fun, and take advantage of every opportunity to enjoy life. You can also learn lessons from the animals you encounter in the wild if you take the time to observe their habits. Cold-blooded animals show us adaptability and sensitivity to one's environment. Mammals serve as examples of nurturing and playfulness. Animals that live in oceans, lakes, and rivers demonstrate the value of movement and grace. It is even possible to learn from insects that live in highly structured communities that everyone plays a vital role. Animals teach us about life, death, survival, sacrifice, and responsibility. If you find yourself drawn to a particular animal, ask yourself which of its traits you find most intriguing and think about how you might mimic those traits. Think of what you might learn from observing the little bird on your windowsill or the mosquito buzzing around a picnic table. Animals express themselves with abandon, freedom, and integrity. It's natural to be drawn to the wisdom offered by our animal teachers, and in doing so, discover what is natural and true within you.

Killed off after 2,000 years: Glastonbury's vandalised Holy Thorn Tree must be replaced after 'trophy hunters' snap off its new shoots

A sacred tree which came back to life after it was nearly destroyed by vandals must now be replaced - thanks to trophy hunters who have broken off its new shoots. The Holy Thorn Tree in Glastonbury Somerset - which can trace its roots back 2,000 years to the death of Jesus - had its branches hacked off in December last year. It miraculously started to grow new shoots earlier this year and made a fragile recovery over the summer. But some of the new growth has now been removed and locals suspect trophy hunters will use them to try and grow their own holy tree.

The tree was also damaged by ribbons tied around the trunk and coins and other items that have been shoved into the bark.Well-wishers have even poured honey, Guinness and cider around the roots, causing further damage. Local councillor John Coles, a former Mayor of Glastonbury, said it will be replaced with a new one grafted from the original branches which were hacked off.

'People don't realise the damage they are doing. I am forever removing these ribbons because they block sunlight to the trunk,' he said. 'We've had people pulling things off - the new growth and bark on the trunk. We think it would have survived if it was just left alone. There is still life in the trunk but we doubt that it will ever recover. It is very sad but we think the best thing is to replace it.'...read more>>>...

A Word on "Kelippot"

The notion appears in the Zohar of the Sitra Ahra, or Another Side. It is a shadow of the Sefirotic world having the same structure, the world Kelippoth and demonic powers. It has roots or in the destructed worlds of the past (preceding to this world) which are called "the Kings of Edom", or in the separation from the Divine substance the powers of the Stern Judgement. In any case, after the completion of the tiqqun process these Sitra Ahra are destroyed or transfigurated into Light according to their substantial nature. According to some early Sefardic Kabbalists the idea of remnants of the previous worlds is connected with the concept of shemittoth, or cosmic cycles. Some other Kabbalists say that before the creation of this world of the equilibrium of Din (Stern Judgement) and Mercy the God created some previous unsteady worlds with the abundance of the Din power. They disappeared because of domination of the Din. But Din is the source of the roots of evil as well. Thus the remnants of these worlds became kelippoth which corrupted the present universe. But Lurianic Kabbalah denies the idea of many cosmic cycles (and the Zohar does likewise). (KHEPER.NET)

The Ten Sefirot

The Ten Sefirot, or "emanations" or "enumerations", form the very heart of all Kabbalistic theology and theosophy. The sefirot are the ten archetypal attributes or characteristics of the Godhead. A distinction is made in Kabbalah between the unknowable Godhead, the En Sof or "infinite", and the knowable qualities of God, represented by the sefirot. The idea of ten archetypal qualities first appears in an enigmatic pre-kabbalistic text, the Sefer Yetzirah. They are next found in the Sefer Bahir, one of the earliest treatises of Kabbalah-proper. As Kabbalah developed the Sefirot have been given different meanings, each later meaning been superimposed over the earlier ones. The arrangement of the Sefirot in the "Tree of Life" (Aytz Hiyam) has also differed slightly. It is necessary to visualize these Ten Sefirot as being connected by "pathways" that go both down and accross the diagram -- and particularly the Pathway of the "Center Column" (Sefirot 1, 6, 9 and 10, the sum of which, incidently, equals 26, the Gematria of the Hebrew letters YHVH, the name of God). The central pillar and the two side columns have also been identified with the central nadi and the two side channels of the Tantric Kundalini system of chakras. Quote of the Day

It is only those who are in constant revolt that discover what is true, not the man who conforms, who follows some tradition. It is only when you are constantly inquiring, constantly observing, constantly learning, that you find truth, God, or love ---JIDDU KRISHNAMURTI, Think on These Things

Our Rainbow Tribe

My eternal thank you goes out to Great Spirit at this moment in time. Our rainbow tribe is coming together now with some pace ... each and every one of us is bringing wonderful individual skills into the group, and we are knitting seamlessly together like we always have. Our wonderful family is a phenomenal working unit with no one ego speaking out above any of the others. We are all aware of each other's link with everyone and the energy of abundance is crackling electrical force we all feel. Today was a fantastic example. Great Spirit has been selective in the individuals who are now working together in our unit. The plans we all share are just plain incredible. The magic is there for all to see ... great spirit I am eternally indebted to you for permitting me to be part of this fantastic tribe again - Talks-With Shadows.

Wisdom Of The Sages

There is a reason that wisdom is associated with age. Traditionally, elders have been the wise men and women of communities. Most spiritual leaders apprentice for most of their lives before beginning their practice. In many parts of the world, elders are honored and respected for the wisdom they've gained through life experience. They are considered a valuable source of knowledge and have an important role to fulfill in passing on traditions and customs. In many parts of the world, nursing homes for the elderly are rare. Caring for one's aging parents is considered an honor and a blessing. In other cultures it's not uncommon for three or four generations to live together under one roof. Immediate families consist of children, parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and sometimes great aunts and uncles. Such intergenerational coexistence is beneficial to all family members. There are caregivers for both young children and the elderly. And older relatives can pass down the family history to children and act as role models for younger family members. In Native American culture, elders are appreciated for their close connection to nature and the spiritual world. They are known as "wisdomkeepers," acting as caretakers of the planet. Respected for their life experience and wisdom, African elders serve as mediators between deceased ancestors and living family members. Honouring and respecting our elders is a way of building community and strengthening society. It helps appreciate every stage of life and view aging in a positive light. After all, hopefully we will all have the opportunity to become sages in our later years.

Did zombies roam medieval Ireland? Sleep on it

Two early medieval skeletons were unearthed recently in Ireland with large stones wedged into their mouths - evidence, archaeologists say, that it was feared the individuals would rise from their graves like zombies. The skeletons, which were featured in a British documentary last week, emerged during a series of digs carried out between 2005 and 2009 at Kilteasheen, near Loch Key in Ireland, by a team of archaeologists led by Chris Read from the Institute of Technology in Sligo, Ireland and Thomas Finan from the University of St. Louis. The project recovered a total of 137 skeletons, although archaeologists believe that some 3,000 skeletons spanning from 700 to 1400 are still buried at the site. The "deviant burials" were comprised of two men who were buried there at different times in the 700s. One of the men was between 40 and 60 years old, and the other was a young adult, probably between 20 and 30 years old. The two men were laid side by side and each had a baseball-size rock shoved in his mouth. "One of them was lying with his head looking straight up. A large black stone had been deliberately thrust into his mouth," Chris Read, head of Applied Archaeology at IT Sligo, said....read more>>>...

Janus - Illuminati God Of Chaos And Deception

The irony is that people not only know their rulers and society overall are two-faced, they expect it. Whether consciously or subconsciously we all know lying and deception are inherent to the matrix that's been foisted upon us. Another irony is that even in the definition of Janus there are two very different versions as to whom this mythological character really was. We see this two-faced image a lot in our lives. Many know it dates back to Greek and Roman mythology. However, there's much more to this character than meets the eye. We'll start with the lighter version:

Janus means "archway" in Latin. Janus was the Roman god of gateways and beginnings, often depicted as having two faces looking in opposite directions. The month of January is named for him.

Interesting. Sounds pretty innocuous. Wikipedia also mentions:

As a god of motion he looks after passages, causes the startings of actions, presides on all beginnings and since movement and change are bivalent, he has a double nature, symbolised in his two headed image.

And more:

His two faces (originally, one was always bearded, one clean-shaven; later both bearded) originally represented the sun and the moon. He was usually depicted with a key. Janus head is a popular phrase for deception, that is, when action does not match speech ...read more>>>....

Dark Chocolate 'As Good As Exercise'

Scientists from Wayne State University have discovered that a compound found in chocolate, called epicatechin, seems to trigger the same muscle response as vigorous activity such as jogging. Additionally, when small doses of chocolate are consumed in combination with regular exercise, performance is increased by 50 percent, the study found. The researchers found that epicatechin seemed to increase the number of mitochondria, tiny powerhouses in cells that generate energy. "Mitochondria produce energy which is used by the cells in the body. More mitochondria mean more energy is produced the more work can be performed," study leader Dr. Moh Malek at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, told the UK Telegraph. Aerobic exercise, such as running or cycling, is known to increase the number of mitochondria in muscle cells. Our study has found that epicatechin seems to bring about the same response - particularly in the heart and skeletal muscles," he added...read more>>>....

Spring Thinking ...

The amount of symbolism from the surrounding natural world today is interesting. Being in my shoes you would need to think the same. Two ravens and a hint of ancient connections. My years tied to Yrddrassil like my ancient mentor ... I no longer think the same as you. Self sacrifices open incredible doors. They have swung open wide. As a druid I learn to observe the signs..

I watched the formation of migrating geese overhead and read concern. The tribal fires are burning somewhere with another tradition under threat from nature.

Alas my nature cannot be read by eyes that are not on that vibration. They see only what their ego sees. They will be mislead by Loki. Alas ...for they , the two ravens permit me to see them truly and read their trail.

As the wild seer I grow weary ... and demand the spirits give the lost earring back!!

Taking On The Energy Of Others

There are times when you may find that being around certain individuals or groups of people leaves you with feelings of discomfort. It may be that spending time with a particular friend feels draining or that dealing with a specific coworker exhausts you. Being around toxic or angry people is also draining. And you may even find that being surrounded by a crowd of people lowers your energy levels rather than perks you up. This is not that unusual. Each of us radiates energy and is capable of being influenced by the energy of other people. It is important to learn how to shield yourself, so you don't unknowingly take on someone else's energy. While some people know how to instinctively protect themselves from being adversely affected by energy, most of us need to discover and practice the technique that works best. There are a number of ways to avoid being affected by people's energy. Shielding is one preventative technique you can use. Center yourself and envision being enveloped in a cocoon of loving and protective light. This protective layer should allow you to consciously regulate the energy around you. The intent to shield oneself is all you need for this technique to work. You can even create a trigger word to assist you in quickly creating a shield. Say this word each time you create a new shield, until the word and the shield become automatically associated in your mind. If you run into a person whose energy you find draining, you may want to cleanse your own energy field after your encounter. Sage, cold showers, singing, mineral water baths, spending time in nature, and a simple break to recharge are all ways to accomplish this. While it is important to know how to shield yourself from energy, there are those energies that you may not want to shut out. The energy of laughter from a newborn baby, the feeling of joy radiating from someone in love, and the frequency of calm emanating from an enlightened teacher are just some of the energies coming from others that you may want to have around you.

The Concept of the Nursing Bay Part 1

Leading on from this insight into the spirit world … it is not hard to imagine the scene when a human physical entity leaves the earth plane after a serious illness … perhaps they died in a hospital bed. I know from personal experience (I've found myself there) that when they next regain awareness … and have become spirit, they will find themselves as the same person in an identical body with the same conditions … and will be in THE NURSING BAY. Identical in all things essentially to a human hospital – except to the more advanced souls on that world it won’t exist; it is a thought form construct to aid the soul in its transition from one world to the next. However, until the soul comes to terms with the transition, the hospital ward will appear very real ….(Extract taken from Intensive Mediumship Techniques by Matthew James)
