No. 48, The Well:
"The town may be changed,
But the well cannot be changed.
It neither decreases nor increases.
They come and go and draw from the well.
If one gets down almost to the water
And the rope does not go all the way,
Or the jug breaks, it brings misfortune."
As the future reading to Repair, receiving The Well means you have all the resources you need to successfully straighten things out. However, the changing lines said you didn't cause the problem, and furthermore, you are not obligated to try to correct it. It is your choice.
Whatever path you choose, to avail yourself of the unchanging, "inexhaustible wellspring of the divine" [Wilhelm], you will need to do two things: You will have to "go deep" to drink from the clear waters of real truth; and you will have to be exceedingly careful in the process.
