Those who purchase Windows 7 Professional will pay £99.99 instead of £189.99. A spokesperson for the company has said stocks are limited for the sale which runs from today until August 9.
But all UK versions of Windows 7 will not come with Internet Explorer, which means buyers must install a web browser to upgrade their computer's operating system.
Microsoft is currently in an ongoing legal battle with the EU which said that automatically installing Internet Explorer was anti-competitive to other browsers.
All sales of Microsoft 7 will be based on a first come first served basis, according to The Telegraph. The early release comes just days after Google announced it would be launching a rival operating system Google Chrome OS. (Daily Mail)
