Robots becoming more human-like with e-skin

S.O.T.T: Human skin is a sensitive organ that allows us to differentiate different pressures of touch and temperature. Getting a robot to replicate that has proved challenging. A new breakthrough in electronic skin helps boost robot sensitivity.

The aim behind the new research is to develop ways to enable robots and prosthetic devices more closely obtain the properties of human skin in order to enable machines to have better tactile interactions with the environment.
