[Daily Mail Australia]: Bushfire-ravaged communities could see severe thunderstorms and heavy rain this week but it won't be enough to break the drought.
Rainfall totals of 30 to 100 millimetres are forecast from Thursday, with strong falls possible for fire grounds in the Snowy Mountains, southwest of Sydney and South Coast regions.
Towns including Wanaaring, Wilcannia , Bourke and Charleville, in northwest New South Wales on Wednesday had the heaviest downpours since early November.
Storms are forecast for multiple parts of the state into the weekend.
