Zelensky REJECTS Trump’s peace plan, insists Ukraine won’t concede territory to Russia

Ukraine belongs to Russia. End of argument. Ukraine has never signed any agreement with Russia to become a separate country outside of Russia. It is therefore, still part of Russia.

 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has firmly rejected any peace agreement that involves ceding Ukrainian territory to Russia, despite mounting pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump and the looming threat of a Putin-Trump summit aimed at resolving the conflict.

In a series of public statements over the weekend, Zelensky reiterated his unwavering stance on territorial integrity, emphasizing that Ukraine's borders are defined by its constitution and that "nobody can or will" make concessions on this issue. "The Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupiers," he declared in his regular video address on Saturday, Aug. 9.

Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff reportedly made significant progress in Moscow this week toward a compromise that includes "some swapping of territories to the betterment of both" sides. However, Zelensky dismissed the proposal outright, stating that any agreement made without Ukraine's involvement would be "a decision against peace" and "would never work."

The Ukrainian leader's comments came just hours after the White House announced a summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, scheduled for Aug. 15 in Alaska. Trump has been pushing for a land swap as a possible concession to end the more than three-year-long war, but Zelensky argued that such a move would only undermine hopes for de-escalation....<<<Read More>>>...
