A legal expert is warning the Australian government to get ahead
of the rapid rise of AI smart glasses before having to play catch-up on
privacy laws.
The devices are proving transformative for people
with disabilities, but the ability to film strangers without their
knowledge is raising concerns. Apart from a small, red recording light
on the frame of some models, many people may not realise they’re being
filmed.
Experts warn the new wave of AI technology could be
smart glasses with built-in facial recognition, which could access
