Fruit content of fruity snacks 'non-existent'

The fruit content of many fruit-flavoured drinks and snacks is either minimal or non-existent, according to a report published on Monday. A survey of strawberry-flavoured drinks, yoghurts, jelly and other snacks found that fewer than 40 per cent contained any real fruit. (Daily Telegraph)

Of 28 products examined by the campaign group the Food Commission, only 11 contained real strawberries.

Five of these - Jordans Frusli All Fruit Strawberry bars, Jubbly Strawberry ice lollies, Asda Great Stuff Strawberry Milk and strawberry teabags produced by Sainsbury's and Tesco - contained less than one per cent real strawberries.

There are about 2,700 flavourings that can be added to food, but manufacturers are not required to state on packaging which flavourings have been used and whether they are natural or artificial.

The commission said manufacturers should have to list all the flavourings used. Its spokesman, Ian Tokelove, said that while the study had focused on strawberry-flavoured products, the findings applied to other fruit-flavoured foodstuffs and drinks.

He added: "Describing a product as strawberry flavour and plastering the packet with pictures of strawberries, when that product contains just a tiny percentage of strawberry or even no real fruit at all, is misleading and deceptive. Unfortunately, it is also legal and widespread.

Diana inquest: MI6 agent admits 'I plotted to assassinate Balkan warlord'

A senior MI6 agent plotted to assassinate a feared Serbian warlord using British spies or the SAS, the Diana inquest heard yesterday. (Daily Mail Wednesday 27th February 2008)

The officer - identified only as A - thought that if the extreme nationalist seized power in the former Yugoslavia during the early 1990s he would launch a campaign of genocide as bad as Hitler's.

He proposed a hit on the warlord - who was not named in court but is thought to be the notorious leader Arkan - to the head of the Secret Intelligence Service in the Balkans at the time and was told to submit the plan in writing.

It is thought to be the first time an active MI6 agent has taken the stand in a court hearing.

To protect his identity the court was cleared of everyone except the jury, lawyers and clerks, with his testimony relayed by audiolink to an annexe at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

The agent told the inquest: "I was worried about the possibility of this man taking power in Serbia and I thought we ought to think about having a contingency plan to assassinate this guy. My vague options were to use our special agents or our special forces."

Serbian dissidents opposed to the warlord were also a possibility, he said.

The agent said he felt MI6 rules which forbade assassinations needed to be reviewed to deal with the new threat. He said when he suggested the proposal to the commanding officer he appeared to be a mixture of "puzzled", "non-committal" and "curious".

Orion Mythology

Every culture has its own constellations and mythology. Constellations rarely look like the object their name suggests; many groupings of stars have been called different things over the years.

According to Greek mythology, the stars in this region of the sky are labelled Orion in honour of a great hunter, son of Neptune and the nymph Eurayle.

To the Egyptians, the same stars were a tribute to the god of light, Osiris. Other cultures saw such things as a turtle or octopus. Some cultures combined these stars and others into larger figures like a Cayman or alligator-like creature. Others saw subsets of the stars as individual figures.

Orion is probably one of the easiest constellations to find. From the mid-latitudes of the northern hemisphere, in January at about 9:00 PM , look due south and half way between horizon and zenith. There, you will see three bright stars in a row that make up the belt of the mythical hunter. To the north-north west of the belt, you'll see one bright, slightly red star, Betelgeuse, that artists draw as the hunter's right shoulder. Other bright stars mark his left shoulder, his right knee and raised left foot. Below his belt on a clear night you might make out the reddish glow of the Orion Nebula, part of Orion's sword.

Orion once boasted that so great was his might and skill as a hunter that he could kill all the animals on the face of the Earth. Gaea, Goddess of Earth, was alarmed at such a boastful and inappropriate statement. Gaea decided that Orion must be killed just in case he might one day decide to carry out his boast. So Gaea sent a giant scorpion to Orion and ordered the beast to sting Orion. As mighty as Orion was, after only a brief battle, the scorpion managed to deliver the hunter a deadly sting. Scorpius stung Orion on the heel (at the star Rigel). Orion and the scorpion were given honored places in the sky, but they were placed at opposite ends of the great sky dome so that they would never engage in battle again. Although there are other storied about how Orion met his death, this one is the most common. In another Greek myth, the goddess Artemis (goddess of Wild Animals and of the Moon) fell in love with the handsome Orion. Her brother, Apollo, did not like this, and plotted to destroy Orion. One day while Orion was swimming, Apollo walked by with Artemis. Apollo challenged her to hit the target bobbing in the water. Artemis did not know it was the head of Orion, and shot her arrow. The arrow struck Orion in the head killing him. When Orion's body washed ashore by the waves, Artemis was horrified to see her arrow and to learn that she had been tricked by Apollo. In great sadness she tenderly placed the body of Orion in her silver Moon-chariot an carried him high up into the sky. Then finding the darkest place, so that his stars would shine the brightest of all surrounding stars, she placed him where we see him today.

Orion was the son of Neptune. He was a handsome giant and a mighty hunter. His father gave him the power of wading through the depths of the sea, or as others say, of walking on its surface.

Orion loved Merope, the daughter of Oenopion, king of Chios, and sought her in marriage. He cleared the island of wild beasts, and brought the spoils of the chase as presents to his beloved; but as Oenopion constantly deferred his consent, Orion attempted to gain possession of the maiden by violence. Her father, incensed at this conduct, having made Orion drunk, deprived him of his sight, and cast him out on the sea shore. The blinded hero followed the sound of the Cyclops' hammer till he reached Lemnos, and came to the forge of Vulcan, who, taking pity on him, gave him Kedalion, one of his men, to be his guide to the abode of the sun. Placing Kedalion on his shoulders, Orion proceeded to the east, and there meeting the sun-god, was restored to sight by his beam.

After this he dwelt as a hunter with Diana, with whom he was a favourite, and it is even said she was about to marry him. Her brother was highly displeased and often chide her, but to no purpose. One day, observing Orion wading though the sea with his head just above the water, Apollo pointed it out to his sister and maintained that she could not hit that black thing on the sea. The archer-goddess discharged a shaft with fatal aim. The waves rolled the dead body of Orion to the land, and bewailing her fatal error with many tears, Diana placed him among the stars, where he appears as a giant, with a girdle, sword, lion's skin, and club. Sirius, his dog, follows him, and the Pleiads fly before him.

The Pleiads were daughters of Atlas, and nymphs of Diana's train. One day Orion saw them, and became enamored, and pursued them. In their distress they prayed to the gods to change their form, and Jupiter in pity turned them into pigeons, and then made them a constellation in the sky. Though their numbers was seven, only six stars are visible, for Electra, one of them, it is said, left her place that she might not behold the ruin of Troy, for that city was founded by her son Dardanus. The sight had such an effect on her sisters that they have looked pale ever since.

Three levels of prosperity

"Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons." -- Woody Allen

To become more prosperous, we need to change on at least two levels. First, we must ensure our financial affairs are in order. We need an income that at least covers our expenses. And we need a foundation of habits, tools and skills so we achieve some financial stability in our day-to-day experience.

Second, we must become aware of the beliefs we hold around money and prosperity. If we unconsciously believe we are lacking in some way, then no matter what we do, we will unconsciously sabotage our own efforts to improve our finances.

And third, it's helpful to understand the spiritual principles that govern our level of abundance. Once we know those principles, we can work effectively within them to attract abundance to us.

"If you're prosperous in soul, you'll be prosperous in whole." -- Mark Victor Hansen

Enduring Discomfort

Whenever we make the effort to free ourselves of an addiction or a habit we no longer need, we are often surprised to find ourselves missing the old pattern as we would a familiar friend. This sounds counterintuitive, because we think we should instinctively gravitate toward what is good for us. Yet, it makes a lot of sense when you consider that we humans are creatures of habit. This is why we gravitate to people and places—and patterns of behavior—that make us feel comfortable. Therefore, many of the habits we form are not conscious and are based instead on learned behavior from role models who were not always making the healthiest decisions.

Most addictions begin as a way of avoiding feelings that are extremely uncomfortable, so it makes sense that stopping the addiction means a fair amount of discomfort for a time. The same is also true of habits that we have developed over time that we are ready to release. Just knowing that this is hard, and having compassion for ourselves as we work through this process, can help us to stay the course when we feel the urge to backtrack. It’s also helpful to remember that in time we will establish new, healthier patterns, and the yearning for the old ones will disappear. Eventually, we will instinctively reach for things that are good for us, and the longing for positive change may form the basis of a new habit.

The only way to get to this new place is to endure a time of difficulty, which is a challenge we can confidently handle, if we remember that it will lead to the change we seek in our lives. Our bodies, hearts, and minds always need time to adjust to a new way of doing things, but they will adapt, and even become our allies, if we remain true to our vision of a new way.

The Eyes Are Not Deceived

Eyes are not easily deceived
Blinking in the star light
Blinded in that instance
The lightning detonation

An apparition stands before them
A manifestation within the material plane
A presence not of the earth
But still very much alive

Moving shadows
Out of the corner of the eye
Figments of the imagination maybe
But to the old campaigner
The eyes know it is real

Silent watcher
Another haunting
A comet of light passes by
And the eyes take in that perfect detail

Another wonder to behold
The wisdom of the learned
And the secret remains
Because the material world would not believe
The claims would be the eyes deceive

Imagination is the fuel ... yes
But imagination is the doorway to the great beyond
It is the avenue through which the truth does shine
So the eyes are grateful to witness the phenomena

Daily Merlin Insight: A Look Back

Transcript
For Tuesday 26th February 2007
Using Navigators of the Mystic Sea tarot
Based on Sigilart imagery inspired by the Daily Merlin insight on Saturday 5th January 2008 (shown right)

The insight focus then was 'Insights relating to circumstances around the Shining Star at this time ... to intuit her current state of mind and to assess her possible locality.'

Intuition received the notion to revisit the above sigil at this time; to use a different tarot deck and reassess the working with a fresh mind. The mystery still goes on ... the location of Madeleine McCann is still an apparent bafflement. The reason why is another bafflement. Time is moving on and still there is no confirmed sighting of Madeleine McCann. I have the strong sense that within the confusion of the swirling clouds of subterfuge that there HAVE been actual sightings of a living & breathing Maddie. I have no doubt that at least one of the reported sightings WAS Maddie. It appears to have been in the interests of certain individuals that the confusion reigned as it has. It has suited their agenda that we, The General Public, are none the wiser.

The Sigilart has no distinctive or recogniseable pattern ... the background gives the sense of spin and 'noise' ... and confusion. The small circle within a larger circle suggests an open eye ... if each of the dots represents a pivot on which the lines can move then I have the image of the sigil 'retracting' and becoming the initial 't'or 'r' ... though I have no sense of any relevance at this time.

My mind's eye can clearly see the background 'noise' taking on the characteristics of black space; out of which I get the sense of an elderly lady making her way forward ... the name 'Elizabeth' enters my mind space. I've had this lady before. A sharp tap on my right hip. She had a problem with her right hip in life. A life in a pantry or a kitchen ... contented baking or cooking. I see her wince from a sore back in her mortal life. Her hair light done up in a bun. She wore glasses too ... she is aware of the dramatic effect it has all taken on those of her family on earth. They are faring as well as can be expected under the circumstances but they are a hardy lot. All closely knitted together ... I see stitches being made ... encompassing even those who wish not to be close ... for their are satellite parts to the family who she is not that 'chuffed' with at this point in time. Some who can say more and are not saying anything. Perhaps there are those who link who are told not to say anything by those of a rank greater to their own ... for the heat could be on them if their connections to places were to become known.

I gain the sense of intrigue and espionage once more. Murky depths ... government secrets linked somehow to it all. The abduction one little girl is not at all ordinary at all. There are greater implications including connecting with the country where she was taken from. There are secrets there not willingly relinquished. Secrets which the net around this case has certainly unearthed. Cleaning out the dross seems to have taken place here. As well as in other places linked to the mystery ... a network exposed as each direction was innocently investigated deliberately ... seemingly all directions have been exhausted ... except for the obvious closer to home. The family cannot be blamed as they are innocent in truth. They seem 'suspicious' because of the way that those in control have drawn the lines in the sand ... but it is all taking place as it was on the drawing board ... just longer than anticipated ... because time could not be a viable consideration as the human element is hard to predict.

Quickly turning the cards in an attempt to glean once more the location. A furry of greenery and two cars ... one black and one brown. Maddie behind darkened glass travelling through a busy place ... a Voltswagon vehicle it seems. Bigger than a Golf ... with foreign plates ... but this is not in Southern Europe. This is north as it has a wintry air. But these are busy streets. There is a convoy ... two cars ... the black one in front ... but something follows behind? A van ... this situation is complicated. Something of significance has the girl ... and is calling the shots behind .... ................................... I gained the sense almost of minister or ministry having her in their vehicle and it is not who you would expect to have involvement. Ireland has been in the picture from time to time but so has Maddie on the move ... the travelling is linked to the one who has this important personality. She is his companion at this time ... he is devoted deeply to a cause... and he has her around him for her protection because there are ones who are angered/annoyed about something relating to .... ......

A campaign undertaken in response .. and the sense again of the trojan horse .. this is a powerful feeling once more. The abduction of this English Child in Portugal ... the reaction of the public and the manufactured media farce ... the lack of facts in the case ... the true implications buried under a barrage of cruel speculation. The sense of a pilgrimage or journey around the time she was taken ... surely this has been forgotten? There was a dedication at the time she was abducted it seems. Why was it left to the last night of the holiday for her to be taken? How did the abductor know this? It had to have been planned and the movements of the family known. Eyes have watched ... her marking and the means of her conception are significant to someone linked to religion ... this has surfaced once more in this insight. She has a meaning to the one who holds her. She has some prophetic significance ... the symbolism and the world of portends may seem ludicrous to the general public and the outside world ... but to those who are well versed in these things it is a fact of life. This cannot be overlooked in the quest to find her. She will neither fall to knife or rope ... no mortal hand will harm her ... I feel so strongly it is strictly forbidden. Though a movement is involved in the trafficking of children ... and the abuse of children ... those hands have been strictly instructed in the early stages to leave her alone. Orders from high in the organisation then saw to it that she was lead through the conduit to a safe place to be hidden ... from there it seems she was passed into those of an order seemingly leading a normal life. Once there she was assigned a mother and a father ... and hidden within various localities ... moved from time to time to be hidden once more as there were those who were aware of the hideaways ... she has been hidden for her own good.

From time to time it seems she was brought to the surface to permit some kind of messaging to get out to the outside world. It appears intentional that sightings were 'made' for it to be understood she was very much alive. She is indeed alive and in good health.

Four of Swords - recuperation
Strength - omnipotence
Four of Pentacles - authority

Strength shows the snake wrapped around the leg of the lion and also around the 'mysterious dark beast' ... the latter what I glean to be the agency behind the taking of Maddie. There is an audience seen in the background (the world stage) ... and it appears we have entered the next act in the play. The central figure in the image has the snake wrapped around it too ... very much involved in the situation ... this central figure appears like the 'next' person to catch sight of the flaming sword wherever that may be ... the antlers of 'the wild hunt' lie in the foreground of the image ... the locality does seem to be somewhere in the realm of the Lion (figuratively I've been using the Lion to denote the UK - England?) ....

The two '4's' and the recuperation of the campaign. It gets back on its feet. New strategies are suggested here. The 4 of Pentacles suggests a new means of gaining funding. The 4 of Swords is recuperation after a host of obstacles and difficulties ... it shows a knight seemingly 'grounded' or under the weather ... recovering from a bout of illness or disappointment... back on his feet making a full recovery. Revitalised ...

The Fool finally indicates the emanation/manifestation of another chapter or phase ... linked to this image is an antique rocking chair ... an Irish farmhouse and Black & white farmyard dogs. The name Do..... (withheld). The net closing in around a seafaring individual ... with links to Ireland, Malta & Andorra? The latter name came through as rather strange .... there is Italy here too and harbouring known criminals ... taking money and asking no questions ... permitting safe passage from one end of the sea to another .... through the straits and northward bound ... into a new life in the Emerald Isle ... ??? Could this be the trafficker who sees to the transportation of MM when she goes by sea?

A Soap Box Viewpoint

Rather appropriately 'Journey's End' by Clannad is playing through the speakers as a shadow moves to my right. I can sense a presence standing there just observing me. Doing nothing else. I've noticed this movement before over many nights. I've caught sight of a partial manifestation numerous times ... I'm quite nonchalant about this 'resident ghost'. It does little else than observe me.

I sense it now with my mind's eye. A male of elder years. He's greying around the beard; his remaining hair matches that same sense of visual decay. His left hand nervously fingers his beard. I don not recognise him; he is no relation of mine. He is of European appearance. So this is not a 'Maori protector' left as a remnant from the previous tenants in this house.

Journey's End indeed for us. Soon. We clear out of this humble abode in 16 days. Kristine met the next tenant today when she came round to view her soon to be home. Surprisingly it turned out the elderly lady is a Medium, Healer and Reader too. Strange. Or perhaps not. Like attracts like. Having spent the last twelve months neutralising the rather disruptive Maori energies we first felt here ... we set about creating a mellow and transcendent Spiritual atmosphere. It seems we did this rather well. The energies pulling to it the same ilk as ourselves to keep the energies flowing.

I wonder if this old man visitor who stands in front of me is linked in anyway to the New Tenant? Wonder if he's not realised there is no time in the realm he now exists in ... and is a little puzzled that I am sitting here? Or maybe it is he who has set about bringing the new tenant to this humble abode? I guess we will never know. This rather taciturn gentleman is saying nothing. Nothing at all. He just stands and watches me ...

'Poppy cock' I hear the sceptics declare as they read this ... I frankly care not! I've not been bothered about the sceptical minded, and their opinion of me, over the last thirty years and I'm not going to start being concerned now. They are welcome to their own view; each one to their own. My reality is all that concerns me ... a vibrant world of 'real time' visitations. Not imagined flights of fancy or hallucinations ... but actual 'solid' figures that stand there before me or beside me or behind me ... each and every day.

At night I still have the reluctance to stick me feet out of the duvet. The sensation of some invisible hand grabbing my foot is solid real time reality ... again I am nonchalant about the occurrence. The nights it doesn't take place and I wonder what is wrong! I am so accustomed to the visitor ... a visitor who grows bold at times and sometimes grabs a left arm ... or moves a quilt or like last night, touches the crown of my head. I take it all in my stride ... and try to imagine a life without any of this phenomenon. I would be a little 'upset' if it were to suddenly cease.

As for a belief in 'life after death' or 'a spirit world' or 'other dimensions' I have had the absolute proof so many times over the decades ... indeed most days there is a presence or a 'touching' ... for me this is not a belief ... it is a fact of life. But I suppose for those who have not had these constant occurrences it is difficult to comprehend my viewpoint ... it is easier I suppose to dismiss my 'claims' as fable. I would have done the same ... and did the same in my earlier years ... I was clearly 'imagining things' back then ... it was the way I dealt with it all. But, it has persisted over the decades and proven itself time and time again. I have to live with it .. side by side with phenomenon I exist. I find it quite easy in truth ... it has been my life. I've grown accustomed to it all like cleaning my teeth or eating food with a knife and fork.

"Webmaster"

In ancient Indian tradition, the spider fashions a web from himself to produce earth, which act as the connection between the cosmos and the earth.

This brilliant guess was confirmed by modern scientific theories describing the structure of the universe as the web of cosmic strings. The universal model of the web appears also in the structure of the Internet. The stream of information- the “spider’s silk” - traveling through cosmic satellites reaches the most secluded corners of the world.

The World Wide Web contains the intellectual achievements of the world. It can be graphically depicted as a huge brain or a heavenly web that hangs over the world. The spider seen in the picture carries a world time clock on its belly. A notable detail from the world of spiders: the abdomens of black widow spiders carry a coloration that resembles an hourglass. A fresh faced Bruce Dickinson fronts Iron Maiden ... this is right at the start of his new career with Messrs Harris, Murray & Co. This is my all time favourite Iron Maiden song from the all time classic 'Number of the Beast' album. Considering it was the first Iron Maiden mark II album, it is a phenomenal album ... possibly their best album . Children of the Damned only features once on a live album ... 'Live After Death unlike other classics which are repeated over and over again.

The Totem of Transformation - The Frog

The frog is a totem of transformation. There are many frog stories, but the fairy tale about the frog who is transformed into his original self - a prince - is a good illustration of the frog as a totem of transformation, and its resulting joy.

Protection symbol for children
Promotes pleasant dreams

Frogs transform from tadpoles into their adult form and this symbolises the awakening of ones creativity.

Frog is a creature of great importance in Northwest Coast art and culture. As a creature that lives in two worlds, water and land, Frog is revered for his adaptability, knowledge and power to traverse worlds and inhabit both natural and supernatural realms. Frogs are primary spirit helpers of shamans. A great communicator, Frog often represents the common ground or voice of the people. Frog's songs are believed to contain divine power and magic. When shown in art as touching or sharing his tongue with another creature, Frog represents an exchange of knowledge and power. Frog designs are commonly used as decorative elements, so that Frog faces, for example, peek out from another creature's ears, mouth or hands. In symbolic terms the emergence of frog from these orifices may represent an eruption of magic and unseen interior and other worlds.

Frog is often associated with copper and great wealth. Legendary Haida princes are said to have attended feasts wearing necklace chains made of living Frogs. The Haida carved Frog on house pole to prevent them from falling over. They also included them in many other carvings, from feast bowls to totem poles. Frogs on Haida Gwaii, B.C.'S Queen Charlotte Islands, are actually northern toads. One Haida name for Frog (toad) is "crab of the woods".

Many legends are attached to this whimsical little animal. The Tlingit of Alaska tell of it's distribution in a story about a chief's daughter who made fun of Frog. She was then lured into his lake by Frog in human form, who then married her. Her angry parents drained the lake and scattered Frogs in every direction. Some B.C. First nations told that Frog announces the end of the winter dance season. It is said that when the last snowflakes of winter touch the ground they turn into Frogs. Then the Native people know that there is only six weeks until the Salmon begin returning to the rivers and summer begins.

One story about Frog tells he was volcano woman's only child. One day Frog saw evil men hunting only for pleasure rather than necessity. When the men noticed Frog they killed him. Volcano woman erupted in her sorrow and furry, crying great tears of lava. She destroyed the earth, but in time it would be born again even stronger and more fertile.

Yet another Frog legend says a village was starving because no one could catch any fish or game, so a warrior went out to try to find some food. No one had been successful for a long time. The warrior met a bird who instructed him to follow, so he could help him. The bird brought him to a Frog, who let the warrior wear his skin. With the Frog skin, the warrior was able to get enough food for the whole village but, as time passed, the warrior was fully transformed into a Frog, and he went to sea. There he could live and catch fish and other seafood. Until his days were no longer he provided these foods to his village. Repeatedly in these tales, the frog (or a water demon with frog-like characteristics) was depicted as the guardian of all the fresh water in the springs and wetlands of the world. Often the frog was called Frog Woman. When all was going well, she was honored and respected. But in times of severe drought, Frog Woman (or her male counterpart) was demonized and Coyote, or some other cultural hero, challenged her. In almost all these tales, however, the hero could not get the Frog (as the water monster) to move, i.e. he could neither displace her physically nor emotionally. She remains unsympathetic and immobile, in spite of the hero's pleas for mercy.

Eventually the hero discovered that Frog held the fresh waters back by weaving, either a basket or a dam. He saved humans from dying of thirst by destroying the basket or dam, or in some cases by stabbing the demon's bloated stomach which substituted symbolically for a dam. In a number of tales, Coyote stole the fresh waters by drinking large amounts of water. Soon he became equally bloated and was released from his self-inflicted suffering only after someone else burst his stomach.

With the destruction of the dam, the impounded fresh waters were released in a flood. The rushing waves carved out a new landscape and also dispersed a plethora of wetland animals which thereafter became food for humans. In their fecundity, the impounded waters were thus similar to the European Cornucopia, the horn of plenty which fed the world and brought joy to both the gods and humanity.

Prozac is no better than a placebo, shows 'fantastically important' study

Anti-depressant tablets taken by millions of Britons may be a waste of time and money, research shows. (Monday 25th February 2008)

An analysis of dozens of studies involving thousands of patients revealed that some of the most widely-prescribed anti-depressants work little better than dummy pills.

The drugs studied - including Prozac, Seroxat and Efexor - were little more effective than placebos in improving the mental health in the majority of cases, the University of Hull research showed.

Only in the most extreme depression did the tablets, which are taken by around two million Britons and have been linked to a host of sideeffects including suicide, prove substantially superior in improving mental health. Dr Tim Kendall, of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, described the results as "fantastically important".

He added that one of the study's strengths lay in the inclusion of data which drug companies had chosen not to publicise - perhaps because it was less favourable than they would like.

The study, published in the respected journal PLoS Medicine, suggests hundreds of thousands of Britons are needlessly taking powerful - and potentially dangerous - drugs.

As well as suicide and suicidal thoughts, side-effects associated with the drugs studied and other SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) anti-depressants range from self harm to anxiety, insomnia, nausea, headaches and vomiting.

This is the 'White' Team ...

Carling Cup Final: Spurs 2 v 1 Chelsea
Tottenham came from a goal down to beat Chelsea at Wembley and win the Carling Cup after extra-time. (BBC Sport 24th February 2008)

Jonathan Woodgate won it when Petr Cech disastrously punched the ball on to his head from Jermaine Jenas's free-kick.

Pascal Chimbonda had hit the bar for Spurs, before Didier Drogba's 20-yard free-kick gave Chelsea the lead with Paul Robinson badly out of position.Spurs levelled when Wayne Bridge handled in the box and Dimitar Berbatov coolly rolled in the resulting penalty.

That's me a 1/3rd of the way there to getting my crazy 'red, white and blue' prediction right ... which was made on the eve of the 2007-2008 Football Season. I'd stated that a team in white would win a major prize this season; and also a team in red and a team in blue .... !!!!

The Kaleidoscope Of Life

We tend to gravitate toward people who are most like us, at least in the ways that make us feel comfortable. But life has its way of bringing us into contact with people who challenge us with their differences. It may be an obvious difference reflected in their outward appearance or an invisible but powerful philosophical stance. Even in our closest circle of friends and family, though, there are those that confront us with their different ways of experiencing and expressing life. We can choose to resist, but we can also choose to learn from them and appreciate that they too have a place in the kaleidoscope of life.

As much as we may say that we want peace and quiet and a life without struggle, the truth is that human beings are currently thriving in a world of dualities and challenges. It is how we choose to approach these hurdles that determine if we sail over them, confirming our agility, or trip and end up face down in the dust. And each of us absolutely will and must stumble, and then get up, brush the dust off, and carry on. This is how we learn and grow, developing depth of character and shades of understanding. In a world of dualities, we have trouble defining ourselves without something opposite and can’t discover who we are. Without challenge, there is nothing to do and nothing to discover. That leaves us either in a state of nonbeing or in the state of pure spirit, but as humans, we are spiritual beings experiencing the physical world in all of its startling contrast and beauty.

No matter how spiritual we are, our lives will have challenges. We will always run into people that are different from us, but the true challenge may be in finding ways to be at peace with this process. Rather than give in to the fight-or-flight response that comes from our animal nature, we can find new ways to evolve together into higher, more beautiful expressions of ourselves, realizing, embracing, and celebrating the beauty of diversity and the strength it offers for the future.

The Veil Of Isis ..

There is no study so saddening, and none so sublime as that of the early religions of mankind. To trace back the worship of God to its simple origin, and to mark the gradual process of those degrading superstitions, and unhallowed rites which darkened, and finally extinguished His presence in the ancient world.

At first men enjoyed the blessings of nature as children do, without inquiring into causes. It was sufficient for them that the earth gave them herbs, that the trees bore them fruit, that the stream quenched their thirst. They were happy, and every moment though unconsciously they offered a prayer of gratitude to Him whom as yet they did not know.

And then a system of theology arose amongst them vague and indefinite, as the waters of the boundless sea. They taught each other that the sun, and the earth, the moon, and the stars were moved and illumined by a Great Soul which was the source of all life, which caused the birds to sing, the brooks to murmur, and the sea to heave. It was a sacred Fire which shone in the firmament, and in mighty flames. It was a strange Being which animated the, souls of men, and which when the bodies died, returned to itself again.

They silently adored this Great Soul in the beginning, and spoke of Him with reverence, and sometimes raised their eyes timidly to His glittering dwelling-place on high.

And soon they learned to pray. When those whom they loved lay dying, they uttered wild lamentations, and flung their arms despairingly towards the mysterious Soul; for in times of trouble the human mind so imbecile, so helpless, clings to something that is stronger than itself.

As yet they worshipped only the sun, the moon, and the stars-and not as Gods but as visions of that Divine Essence, which alone ruled and pervaded the earth, the sky, and the sea.

They adored Him kneeling, with their hands clasped, and their eyes raised. They offered Him no sacrifices, they built Him no temples; they were content to offer Him their hearts which were full of awe, in His own temple which was full of grandeur. And it is said that there are yet some barbarous islands where men have no churches nor ceremonies, and where they worship God, reflected in the work of His thousand hands.

But they were not long content with this simple service. Prayer which had first been an inspiration fell into a system, and men already grown wicked prayed the Deity to give them abundance of wild beast's skins, and to destroy their enemies.

They ascended eminences, as if hoping that thus being nearer God, He would prefer their prayers to those of their rivals. Such is the origin of that superstitious reverence for high places which was universal throughout the whole of the heathen world.

Then Orpheus was born. And he invented instruments which to his touch and to his lips, gave forth notes of surpassing sweetness, and with these melodies he enticed the wondering savages into the recesses of the forest, and there taught them precepts of obedience to the great Soul, and of loving-kindness towards each other in harmonious words.

So they devoted groves and forests to the worship of the Deity.

There were men who had watched Orpheus, and who had seen and envied his power over the herd who surrounded him. They resolved to imitate him, and having studied these barbarians, they banded together, and called themselves their priests. Religion -is divine, but its ministers are men. And alas! sometimes they are demons with the faces and wings of angels.

The simplicity of men, and the cunning of their priests has destroyed or corrupted all the religions of the world.

These priests taught the people to sacrifice the choicest herbs and flowers. They taught them formulas of prayer, and bade them make so many obeisances to the sun, and to worship those flowers which opened their leaves when he rose, and which closed them as he set.

They composed a language of symbols which was perhaps necessary, since letters had not been invented, but which perplexed the people and perverted them from the worship of the one God.

Thus the sun and moon were worshipped as emblems of God, and fire as an emblem of the sun, water as an emblem of the moon.

The serpent was to be worshipped also as an emblem of wisdom and eternal youth, since it renews its skin every year, and thus periodically casts off all symptoms of old age.

And the bull, most vigorous of animals, and whose horns resemble those of the crescent moon.

The priests observed the avidity with which the barbarians adored these symbols, and increased them. To worship the visible is a disease of the soul inherent to all mankind, and the disease which these men could have healed they pandered to.

It is true that the first generation of men might have looked upon these merely as the empty symbols of a Divine Being, but it is also certain that in time the vulgar forgot the God in the emblem, and worshipped that which their fathers had only honored. Egypt was the fountain-head of these idolatries, and it was in Egypt that the priests first applied real attributes to the sun, and to the moon whom they called his wife.

It may perhaps interest you to listen to the first fable of the world.... (more)

Go for what you want

"Follow your bliss." --- Joseph Campbell

It’s hard for some of us to believe that the world is served when we seek our own happiness. We’ve been taught that this is selfish.

If we stop to reflect on how we are in the world when we are happy, we can see how this serves. We have more vitality. We’re more loving and generous to others when our own needs are met.

What activities bring you greatest joy? Your unique gift to the world will be found in those pastimes you love the most.

How can you live your joy each day?

The Dark Night of the Soul

The Dark Night of the Soul" is the name given to that experience of spiritual desolation that all students of the Occult pass through at one time or another.
It is sometimes characterised by feelings that your occult studies or practices are not taken you anywhere, that the initial success that one is sometimes granted after a few months of occult working, has suddenly dried up. There comes a desire to give up on everything, to abandon exercises and meditation, as nothing seems to be working.
St. John of the Cross. a Christian mystic, said of this experience, that it;
"puts the sensory spiritual appetites to sleep, deadens them, and deprives them of the ability to find pleasure in anything. It binds the imagination, and impedes it from doing any good discursive work. It makes the memory cease, the intellect become dark and unable to understand anything, and hence it causes the will to become arid and constrained, and all the faculties empty and useless. And over this hangs a dense and burdensome cloud, which afflicts the soul, and keeps it withdrawn from the good."
Though the beginner may view the onset of such an experience with alarm, the "Dark Night" is not something bad or destructive.
In one sense it may be seen as a trial, a test by which the Gods examine our resolve to continue with occult work, and if you are not completely whole-hearted about your magical studies, it is during this period (at its beginning) that you will give up. The Dark Night of the Soul should be welcomed, once recognised for what it is; as a person might welcome an operation that will secure health and well-being.
St. John of the Cross embraced the soul's Dark Night as a Divine Appointment, calling it a period of "sheer grace" and adding;
"O guiding Night,
O Night more lovely than Dawn,
O Night that has united the lover with his beloved
Transforming the Lover in her Beloved."
When entering the Dark Night one is overcome by a sense of spiritual dryness and depression. The notion, in some quarters, that all such experiences should be avoided, for a peaceful existence, shows up the superficiality of so much of contemporary living. The Dark Night is a way of bringing the Soul to stillness, so that deep psychic transformation may take place. All distractions must be set aside, and it is no good attempting to fight or channel the bursts of raw energy that from time to time may course through your being. This inner compulsion to set everything aside results in the outer depression, when nothing seems to excite.
The only thing to do is obey your inner voice and become still, waiting for the inner transformation, (which the "Dark Night" heralds), to take place. You may not be aware for a very long time of the results of that inner change, but when the desire to work comes again and the depression lifts, the Dark Night has (for a moment) passed.
No one can help during this time, and in many cases there is hardly anyone to turn for advice. One must disregard the well-meaning advice of family and friends to "snap out of it" this is no ordinary depression, but a deep spiritual experience which only those who have passed through themselves but for many, as the routines of everyday life prohibits this, all you can do is cultivate an inner solitude, a stillness and silence of heart, and wait, (like a chrysalis waits for the inner changes that will result in a butterfly) for the Transformation to work itself out.
There are many such "Dark Nights" that the occult seeker must pass through during the mysterious process of mitigation. They are all trials but experience teaches one to cope more efficiently.

Meditation: Emanation of Grace/Angels of Healing

New Age Composition by Aeoliah

Modesty is the foundation of all virtues.
Let your neighbours discover you before you make yourself know to them.
A noble heart never forces itself forward.
Its words are as rare gems, seldom displayed and of great value.

Very tranquil and serene meditation music. Permit yourself a few minutes listening to this wonderful music.

Close your eyes. Relax. Take a series of deep breaths and let the stresses of the moment float away ... with your feet firmly on the ground, put your hand upon your knees and begin to visualise a ball of light drifting down from the ceiling ... slowly ... until it rests a few inches from the top of your head. Feel its energies ... a lightheaded sensation in your head. A giddy almost dreamlike sensation ...

Now sense small globules of this ball of light breaking off and forming a mist which will gradually surround you. Let it build and build until there is a thick fog of white glowing energy surrounding you. Feel warmed by this energy. Feel healed by this energy. Now sense it completely surrounding you like a sheath ... a thin mist of white energy enveloping your entire being. Feel the healing effect of this energy ... let it empty your mind of woes and troubles for a few moments. Feel your thoughts transcending your normal barriers ... as you slip into a wonderful daydream.

Come back now ... permit a few stray thoughts to enter your mind in order to ground you back to the earth plane .... open your eyes now and feel completely relaxed and revitalised. Uplifted by those few minutes of calm contemplation ...

A World First: Biofuel Flight Takes Off

The first commercial aircraft to use biofuel has flown from London to Amsterdam. (Sky News Sunday 24th February 2008)

One of the four main fuel tanks of the Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747 demonstration flight - with no passengers on board - was filled with 20% biofuel mix of coconut and babassu oil.

The demonstration had been part of a major initiative among some airlines and Boeing to discover sources of sustainable aircraft fuel for the future.

Virgin Atlantic president, Sir Richard Branson, told Sky News political editor Adam Boulton: "What we are trying to prove is something that most people have said is impossible... for biofuels to be used in current day jet engines at 30,000 feet."

He said most experts claimed it would freeze - but Sir Richard said: "We've been working with GE and Boeing over the past year to prove them wrong and we've actually found that we can use up to 40% biofuel mix in conventional jet engines."

The fuel used was obtained from the natural resources of babassu nuts and coconuts, which he says are currently going to waste on the ground. But it is planned that in time "we'll start growing algae from things like sewage treatment plants and stop the carbon going out into the Earth's atmosphere.

Current

The painter draws a clear analogy between current lines and growth rings of a tree. For annual rings reflect the current of time, the time-stream.

Their thickness or thinness tells us much about the past. Was it the time of hurricanes or river floods, of the great heat or the great ice?

A man is drawn into the stream of life. Though, knowing the past, he tries to direct the movement of his boat, the flow of time inexorably carries him away to the new shores. Whirlpools, shallows, and rough current do not leave time for thinking – so is the message underlying the picture. The cool greenish colours correspond to this mood. (Vladimir Kush)

Totem Poles

Totem poles are monumental sculptures carved from great trees, usually cedar, but mostly Western Redcedar, by a number of Indigenous cultures along the Pacific northwest coast of North America. The word "totem" is derived from the Ojibwe word odoodem, "his totem, his kinship group" (root -oode).

The beginning of totem pole construction started in North America. Being made of wood, they decay easily in the rainforest environment of the Northwest Coast, so few examples of poles carved before 1800 exist (noteworthy examples include those at the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, BC, dating as far back as 1391). And, while 18th century accounts of European explorers along the coast indicate that poles certainly existed prior to 1800, they were smaller and few in number. In all likelihood, the freestanding poles seen by the first European explorers were preceded by a long history of monumental carving, particularly interior house posts

Poles of all types share a common graphic style of carved and painted containers, housefronts, canoes, masks, intricately-woven blankets, ceremonial dress, weapons, armor, and many other tools and implements. Two distinct systems of art were developed for two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures, but both were maintained within the common graphic style. This style was developed by Northwest Coast Native Peoples over many thousands of years, as evinced by stone and bone artifacts uncovered in archaeological studies which display clear examples of the same design motifs.

The meanings of the designs on totem poles are as varied as the cultures which produce them. Totem poles may recount familiar legends, clan lineages, or notable events. Some poles are erected to celebrate cultural beliefs, but others are intended mostly as artistic presentations. Certain types of totem poles are part of mortuary structures incorporating grave boxes with carved supporting poles, or recessed backs in which grave boxes were placed. Poles are also carved to illustrate stories, to commemorate historic persons, to represent shamanic powers, and to provide objects of public ridicule. "Some of the figures on the poles constitute symbolic reminders of quarrels, murders, debts, and other unpleasant occurrences about which the Indians prefer to remain silent... The most widely known tales, like those of the exploits of Raven and of Kats who married the bear woman, are familiar to almost every native of the area. Carvings which symbolize these tales are sufficiently conventionalized to be readily recognizable even by persons whose lineage did not recount them as their own legendary history." (Reed 2003). Housefront poles were meant to show the success of the families.

Totem poles were never objects of worship. The association with "idol worship" was an idea from local Christian missionaries, who would have seen their association with Shamanism as being an occult practise.

Vertical order of images is widely believed to be a significant representation of importance. This idea is so pervasive that it has entered into common parlance with the phrase "low man on the totem pole". This phrase is indicative of the most common belief of ordering importance, that the higher figures on the pole are more important or prestigious. A counterargument frequently heard is that figures are arranged in a "reverse hierarchy" style, with the most important representations being on the bottom, and the least important being on top. Actually there have never been any restrictions on vertical order, many poles have significant figures on the top, others on the bottom, and some in the middle. Other poles have no vertical arrangement at all, consisting of a lone figure atop an undecorated column.

The poles used for public ridicule are usually called "shame poles", and were erected to shame individuals or groups for unpaid debts. Shame poles are today rarely discussed, and their meanings have in many places been forgotten. However, they formed an important subset of poles carved throughout the 19th century.

Erection of a totem pole is almost never done using modern methods, even for poles installed in modern settings on the outside of public and private buildings. Instead the traditional ceremony and process of erection is still followed scrupulously by most artists, in that a great wooden scaffold is built and hundreds of strong men haul the pole upright into its footing while others steady the pole from side ropes and brace it with cross beams. Once the pole is erected a potlatch is typically held where the carver is formally paid and other traditional activities are conducted. The carver will usually, once the pole is freestanding, perform a celebratory and propitiary dance next to the pole while wielding the tools used to carve it. Also, the base of the pole is burnt before erection to provide a sort of rot resistance, and the fire is made with chips carved from the pole.

Totem poles are typically not well maintained after their erection. Traditionally once the wood rots so badly that it begins to lean and pose a threat to passersby, the pole is either destroyed or pushed over and removed. Older poles typically fall over during the winter storms that batter the coast. A totem pole rarely lasts over 100 years. A collapsed pole may be replaced by a new one carved more or less the same as the original, with the same subject matter, but this requires a new payment and potlatch and is thus not always done. The beliefs behind the lack of maintenance vary among individuals, but generally it is believed that the deterioration of the pole is representative of natural processes of decay and death that occur with all living things, and attempts to prevent this are seen as somehow denying or ignoring the nature of the world.

This has not, however, prevented many people from occasionally renewing the paint on poles or performing further restorations, mostly because the expense of a new pole is beyond feasibility for the owner. Also, owners of poles who are not familiar with cultural traditions may see upkeep as a necessary investment for property, and ignore the philosophical implications. It is best to treat the question of totem pole maintenance on a case by case basis, especially asking the artist for their opinion on the matter during or just after the production process. Missing Maddie 'seen' in Dorset

Police are said to be investigating after a parish councillor claimed to have spotted Madeleine McCann in Dorset. (The Sun Sunday 24th February 2008)

The sighting – reported in a national newspaper – was flagged up by Alan Cameron, who claims a couple responding to an ad in a local paper turned up at his house with a child he says was Madeleine. The retired civil servant says the Portuguese couple apparently tried to conceal the face of the little girl when they turned up at his house in Stratton, near Dorset, saying they wanted to buy garden furniture.

"I knew straight away it was a face I'd seen in the news," he told the paper.

The girl spoke perfect English, while her parents talked to each other in Portuguese, Mr Cameron added. This is the latest reported sighting of the tot, who has been separated from her parents for almost 10 months.

Keeper of Staves
5 of Spheres
7 of Weapons (reversed)

The 5 of Spheres depicts a despairing 'jester' with five broken sphere shells in the foreground. The background shows a snowcapped mountain;

The Keeper of Staves indicates a golden haired woman beside a unicorn standing in an autumnal meadow. Red & brown leaves fall from nearby trees. Three white doves hover above them. A white robed man bearing a long stave with a 'hand' atop the stave stands in front of them.

The 7 of Weapons depicts one gauntlet clad hand holding six swords on the right of the image .... with one flaming sword and another gauntlet clad hand on the left of the image ... the reversing of this card implies that that whoever made this 'sighting' appears to have been, in truth, indecisive of the situation despite the claims of the above tabloid story. They may not have been convinced in their own mind that the girl with the Portuguese couple was Madeleine McCann. It seems that it was someone somewhere that pressed for this sighting to 'make the news' .... the whole image is of indecisiveness and unstable situations. Thus I feel wary of this report.

The five of Spheres has the sense of anticipated disappointment from this particular sighting. It appears further investigation of this will herald little of anything new ... whether it is a genuine report or one contrived as a 'smokescreen' it seems it should not have much attention attached to it.

The Keeper of Staves does not seemingly linked to this sighting directly; though it seems to link to KM and her dedication to her new found mission. It seems also to bear the portend that her innocence with regard to the preposterous charges, made with regard to her supposed involvement in the disappearance of Madeleine, will be officially declared. It seems in the pipeline that the 'suspect' status in the process of being dropped .... the latest sightings bringing the case back into the limelight once more ..

Power Animals: Rabbit - The Fear Caller

Rabbits normally live alone in the wild, making their homes by burrowing underground. Rabbits are curious animals who like to explore their surroundings. They live on a few acres of land & become familiar with every square inch. They are territorial creatures who will fight over their piece of land. Their eyes can see in every direction, so they will watch a bird in the air while watching a predator on the ground. When aroused, their ears stand up. All these characteristics combined with their willingness to run away, are what rabbits use to defend themselves against predators.

In many Native American traditions Rabbit is named the Fear Caller. It is believed that it shouts out its fear of the predators who rank it high on their dining list so loudly that it attracts them, and thus brings that which it fears into being.

Rabbit is often connected with fear because they are timid and constantly on guard. Rabbit wants us to learn how to face our fear and know when to defend our space or walk away.

Rabbit shows us that defending ourselves doesn't always involve fighting back. He teaches us to listen carefully to what is going on in our environment so we can accurately use our intuition when in danger.

Rabbits are regular visitors to the land of mankind, most often between dawn and dusk. They stay close to the edge of the forest, and though deeply absorbed in the process of eating, are always alert. At the sight of a hawk or the sound of a human footstep they disappear into the undergrowth.

An interesting aspect of Rabbit is that different cultures have widely varying understandings of this animal. The Egyptians associated it with being, while in China, where it is one of the astrological animals, it is associated with good fortune and the moon. People born under its sign are believed to be sensitive and artistic.

If we look at this idea with deeper understanding we see how well Rabbit teaches us that we create our lives with our thoughts and feelings. Rabbit experiences fear, projects it outward, and creates in the external world conditions which mirror its inner terrors.

For us humans this is an important lesson. The idea behind repeating affirmations, focusing on positive images, and programming one's crystals to help realize dreams is that thoughts have energy, and that focused attention on a thought creates a vibration which will help that thought to become reality. This is as true when you think about what you don't want to happen.

So often, though, our focus on what we don't want to happen is automatic, instead of deliberate. It's an undercurrent of consciousness, gathering strength secretly. Thus, it's important to bring our fears into consciousness, to treat them with the tenderness we would treat a frightened child (which is who we are when we're in fear).

Rabbits has the ability to be alert and aware of its surroundings at all times; which for us, this translates into recognising that we have the power to create with our thoughts, to be conscious of them, to be focused on our dreams, and to not allow ourselves to be distracted from our intentions, especially not to be distracted by fear from realizing our dreams.

Unlimited Vision

We can only see so much from where we sit in our particular bodies, in the midst of our particular lives, rooted as we are in the continuum of space and time. The divine, on the other hand, is not limited to the constructs of either space or time, and its wisdom and workings often elude us as we try to make sense of what is happening in our lives.

This is why things are not always what they seem to be and even the best-laid plans are sometimes overturned. Even when we feel we have been guided by our intuition every step of the way, we may find ourselves facing unexpected loss and disappointment. At times like these, we can find some solace in trusting that no matter how bad or just plain inexplicable things look from our perspective, they are, in fact, in divine order.

Even as we take our places in this earthly realm, a part of us remains completely free of the confines we face here. Regardless of what is happening in our lives, this part of us remains infused with joy and gratitude, connected to the unbroken source from which we come. Our small self, on the other hand, who is caught up in our false identity as a being limited in space and time, regards happiness as the result of things going the way it wants them to go. It is this part of us that suffers the greatest confusion and upset when the logic of events does not compute. And it is to this self that we must extend unconditional love, forgiveness, and compassion. In order to do this, we tap into our inner divinity, holding the space of a tender authority, extending love and light to our ego as a mother extends her love to a troubled child.

There are many ways to access our inner divinity—meditation, prayer, chanting, channeling, and conscious breathing, to name a few. It is helpful to develop a regular practice that provides us access to this all-powerful, healing presence, as it can be difficult to reach once we are in a stressful position, if we have not already established a connection. The more connected we are with this part of ourselves, the more we share its unlimited vision and the secure, knowing that all the things of our life, no matter how they appear, are in a state of divine and perfect order

Daily Merlin Review: Mon 25th June 2007

A red herring or another wild goose trail? Something unearthed closer to the English Channel ... someone sees a face in a crowd ... in a busy market place (perhaps). I see her captured on film; her warming smile and her head tilted nervously to one side. A seaside town ... but where? The image really isn't that clear. Much speculation perhaps ... a southern seaside town (Bournemouth, Brighton?) or is this in the far south ... where it is much warmer; closer to the start of the circle ... because all of this appears very confusing. 'A gaze once more at the 'symbolic' 8 of Weapons which is the significator of the hidden locality of the Shining Star ....'

An apparent recent sighting in Montpellier, South of France ... and now a breaking news story of a supposed sighting in the UK Mainland in the South of England. Feasible? Valid? More red herrings or the truth?

It is most certainly confusing ... there have been so many 'breaking' news stories with this situation. The fearsome ogre within the halls of the Media, armed with his cloud making machine, seems to have woken once more. I'd already sense a week or two ago that complacency would be fatal when the next round of media speculations visited town ... what we have is more of the same or is it?

I quickly see an image of a young child (it could well be Maddie) being led firmly by the hand across tarmacam, as I shuffle the cards ... a woman is walking bristly and is pulling the child urging her to walk much quicker. The child seems tired and niggling. Not long out of bed. The cross a road towards a waiting car. It is the early morning and few folk are on the streets. The weather is overcast and blustery. I gain the sense this child is indeed Maddie.

GIVER OF SPHERES

PRIME OF STAVES
6 OF STAVES

Attention is very much on other things. The 6 of Staves depicts the flags of a number of nations flying. A path created at this point in time leading into a new direction. The sightings coinciding with other things. Most surely just by coincidence? They are not felt to be by design. I sense, however, a place in land coincides with the location of the 8 of Weapons. Moorland or waste ground viewed from a property. But no close sight of sea or harbour streets.

Someone somewhere deliberately deceives with information provided. There is a feeling of discomfort here. Not necessarily linked to the media reports at this point in time ... but there is still the feel of deception on the air. Not all that which is going on is being revealed or uncovered. Close to a chest files and transcripts are kept. Much more could be given, but a woman (someone's secretary) is holding back all that there is ... limited information given. Holding back vital clues I feel. Within the chain there is a missing link ... put it in place and the locality of the 8 of Weapon could be known.
