Well ... the Eldest Son turned up on time ... and its now Bon Voyage .... they set off around 10 minutes ago ...I'm 'on my tod' now until Thursday evening ... Kristine is the passenger on the first leg of the long journey down to Dunedin, at the bottom of the South Island .... by car. An overladen car with high profile tyres. Be a fun journey!
Seven hours down to Wellington. Then a two and a half hour ferry crossing to Picton. Then the final leg of the journey, which will take about 9 hours ... Picton to Dunedin.
Kristine flies back to Hamilton Airport on Thursday evening. Hopefully 'armed' with dozens of bags of Walker's crisps and UK sweeties (there is a Scottish shop down in Dunedin) ... roll on Thursday evening.
