A Fire and Rescue Services report found no conclusive evidence
that any organised extremist network premeditated or orchestrated the
unrest after the 2024 Southport murders, contradicting Sir Keir
Starmer’s earlier statements, which were parroted by corporate media.
The
report stated that the causes of the disorder were complex, including
social deprivation, austerity and decreasing trust in policing, and that
it was mostly disaffected individuals and influencers who incited
people to act violently.
Sir Keir Starmer’s initial statement,
which labelled the unrest as “far right thuggery,” misled the public and
potentially led to miscarriages of justice for non-violent protestors.
