The whole of the Universe is energy and each basic element of the known
atomic chart consists of energy at different rates of vibration. The
difference between any two elements is the difference in both atomic
structure and vibration rates.
Everything in this world
we live in is vibrating, and if look deeper, everything is a vibration.
Concepts such as the Big Bang, the butterfly effect, and even meditation
are based on the properties of energy and vibrations. By observing
these properties, we also come to the principles of using sound and
vibrations in therapeutic ways.
These are not new principles. It is theorized that the didgeridoo,
used by Australian aboriginal people, has been used for sound healing
for over 40,000 years. This roughly coincides with the emergence of
modern humans – one of the most notable features being spoken language.
Ancient Egyptians recognized the power of sound and built pyramids to
generate specific frequencies. Ancient Chinese and Indian cultures
recognized the power of the sound. The Chinese symbol for medicine is
identical to the symbol for music, but with two flags above it –
possibly a depiction of tuning forks. Knowledge of Ayurveda is often
found in the form of hymns in the Vedas. Both of these cultures use
bronze bells in temples and sacred spaces to help cleanse the air. In
fact, most religions and cultures utilize bells. Songs of praise,
prayers, chants, and mantras are all practiced for their vibrational
effects. Ancient Greeks used the power of sound. Pythagoras and his
followers calculated harmonics of strings and other mathematical
components of music. Hippocrates is even quoted to say “Music is
medicine.” ...<<<Read More>>>...
