At last .... here we are on the eve of the Premiership season for 2008 - 2009 ... and there is a real sense of anticipation in the ether. Fingers crossed for another stunning season and good luck to all teams.
We are bound for some real surprise packages this season. Shocks and spills almost from the first whistle. Teams in red have to be especially careful. Underdogs can bite given the chance. Teams in blue might not fare any better. No excuses can be made with regard to the state of the pitch or poor referee decisions.
No indications as yet who will achieve or who will be relegated. However, at the top of the pinnacle is red, red and more red ... for a while but it is not clear if that is at the start, in the middle or at the end. But within the sea of red there shall still be blue and white ... I hear Liverpool Liverpool.... and insistence to watch out for Liverpool this season. Red Devils beware ... Liverpool seem to be a much stronger threat this season. Poor blues of Chelsea let's hope its not you who fades ... but then I feel sorry for Everton if that is the blue I see fading.
