UK farmers staged a fresh tractor protest today in London against
inheritance tax changes, with Reform UK leader Nigel Farage addressing
the protesters. Conservative figures including shadow foreign secretary
Dame Priti Patel also attended.
The protest, organised by Save
British Farming, took place as Members of Parliament debated an
e-petition with more than 148,000 signatures calling to keep the current
inheritance tax exemptions for working farms.
Major London
roads were gridlocked during the farmers’ protest outside Parliament,
with tractors packing onto Whitehall near Parliament for the third time
in four months to protest inheritance tax being introduced to farms.
