[David Icke]: It is possible that a new worrying variant of coronavirus is already in the UK though current signs are reassuring, an expert at the Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has said.

Dr Susan Hopkins, chief medical adviser of the UKHSA, said scientists are very concerned about the new variant found in South Africa, Botswana, Hong Kong and Israel, though no cases have been detected in the UK.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said the UK was “buying time” by adding South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe and Namibia to its travel red list, adding that the Government was taking a “safety-first approach”.

Passengers arriving into the UK from these countries from 4am on Sunday will be required to book and pay for a Government-approved hotel quarantine for 10 days.

Scientists around the globe are worried about the “horrific” number of mutations on the virus spike protein in the variant, which they fear could make it highly transmissible, more deadly and make vaccines less effective.

Dr Hopkins told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme that the variant had around “30 different mutations that seem relevant – that’s double what we had in Delta (variant)”.

I have checked the underlying dataset myself and this graph is correct. Vaccinated people under 60 are twice as likely to die as unvaccinated people. And overall deaths in Britain are running well above normal.

I don’t know how to explain this other than vaccine-caused mortality.

[Richie Allen]: A new covid variant has emerged, just in time for Christmas. It was discovered in Botswana, but is believed to have shown up in South Africa and Hong Kong too. Scientists are claiming that it has 32 “horrific mutations” and might be capable of beating the vaccines.

According to The Mail Online:

British experts have sounded the alarm over a new Covid variant believed to have emerged in Botswana that is the most mutated version of the virus yet. Only 10 cases of the strain, which could eventually be named ‘Nu’, have been detected so far.

But it has already been spotted in three countries, suggesting the variant is more widespread.

It carries 32 mutations, many of which suggest it is highly transmissible and vaccine-resistant, and has more alterations to its spike protein than any other variant.

Professor Francois Balloux, a geneticist at University College London, said it likely emerged in a lingering infection in an immunocompromised patient, possibly someone with undiagnosed AIDS.

Dr. Tom Peacock is a virologist at Imperial College London. He practically shit himself when he looked at the new covid strain, describing it as “horrific.”

He said that B.1.1.529 (its scientific label) has the potential to be worse than any other covid mutation including the world-dominant Delta strain. Good God! Close the borders. Bomb Botswana back to the Stone Age. Cancel Christmas.

UK Policing Bill: “Disease” Is Added as A “Public Nuisance Offence”

 [The Expose]: The Government’s Policing Bill creates a new “public nuisance offence”. The offence includes where an individual risks causing another person to suffer “disease”.

The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill has been sponsored by Baroness Williams of Trafford and Dominic Raab MP. It has been passed by the House of Commons and read twice in the House of Lords. The new “public nuisance offence” is noted under section 61 (2).

The measures in the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill will improve the police’s ability to manage such protests, enabling them to balance the rights of protesters against the rights of others to go about their daily business, and to dedicate their resources to keeping the public safe,” the UK government noted on their website in July, and will “replace the existing common law offence of public nuisance with a new statutory offence as recommended by the Law Commission in 2015.”

“Members of the House of Lords voiced anger of the amendments late addition to the bill, which has already been voted on by MPs, and campaigners accused the government of trying to bypass parliamentary scrutiny. Cancer expert says U.K. seeing spike in “non-covid deaths,” nobody willing to call out vaccine elephant in the room

 [Natural News]: Excess mortality in the United Kingdom is off the charts, and yet nobody is willing to call out Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccines” as the culprit.

Cancer expert and Prof. Carl Heneghan describes the current situation in Great Britain as a “national scandal.” A shocking 9,300 more people than usual have died in the U.K. over the past several months, and officials are blaming everything else except the injections.

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show that England and Wales have together registered 20,823 more deaths over the past 18 months than the five-year average. Only 11,531 deaths are said to have involved the Fauci Flu.

When we say involved, we mean cases of death in which Chinese Germs were blamed for a person’s death even though it was actually a car accident, for instance, or falling from a ladder.

Being Truly Thankful

 [Daily OM]: Often when we practice being thankful, we go through the process of counting our blessings, acknowledging the wonderful people, things and places that make up our reality. While it is fine to be grateful for the good fortune we have accumulated, true thankfulness stems from a powerful comprehension of the gift of simply being alive, and when we feel it, we feel it regardless of our circumstances. In this deep state of gratitude, we recognize the purity of the experience of being, in and of itself, and our thankfulness is part and parcel of our awareness that we are one with this great mystery that is life.

It is difficult for most of us to access this level of consciousness as we are very caught up in the ups and downs of our individual experiences in the world. The thing to remember about the world, though, is that it ebbs and flows, expands and contracts, gives and takes, and is by its very nature somewhat unreliable. If we only feel gratitude when it serves our desires, this is not true thankfulness. No one is exempt from the twists and turns of fate, which may, at any time, take the possessions, situations, and people we love away from us. Ironically, it is sometimes this kind of loss that awakens us to a thankfulness that goes deeper than just being grateful when things go our way. Illness and near-miss accidents can also serve as wake-up calls to the deeper realization that we are truly lucky to be alive.

We do not have to wait to be shaken to experience this state of being truly thankful for our lives. Tuning in to our breath and making an effort to be fully present for a set period of time each day can do wonders for our ability to connect with true gratitude. We can also awaken ourselves with the intention to be more aware of the unconditional generosity of the life force that flows through us regardless of our circumstances.

Ethics Prof: “Covid Not Severe Enough To Warrant Mandating Jabs”

[Richie Allen]: An Oxford University Professor of Medical Ethics has said that covid-19 isn’t severe enough to warrant mandatory vaccines at the population level.

Dominic Wilkinson said that the case for compulsory jabs could be made if the country was in the midst of an outbreak of a disease as severe as bubonic plague, but that in his opinion, covid-19 doesn’t pose a threat to our way of life.

Speaking to The Telegraph Professor Wilkinson said:

“If we had an outbreak of a disease that was like the bubonic plague or Ebola, that had devastatingly high mortality, and we had a massive threat to our health system and way of life, I think there would be a strong case for having a vaccine mandate. I’m not convinced that this pandemic is sufficiently severe that it’s ethically proportionate to have compulsory vaccination for the general population.”

Wilkinson is featured in a Telegraph article by the journalist David Cox today. Cox has learned more about the Austrian government’s decision to mandate the jabs for every citizen. He writes:

Over the next two months, the Austrian government will put into place a legal framework for the mandate. According to the latest reports, authorities will first offer an appointment for anyone who has yet to be vaccinated, before penalties of up to 3,600 euros (£3,022) will follow if the offer is rejected.

For those who are already double-vaccinated, there will still be fines of up to 1,500 euros (£1,259), if they refuse to get a booster shot. Exemptions will only be offered to those who are able to prove, via a doctor’s certificate, that they cannot receive a vaccine on medical grounds, such as severe allergies to all currently available vaccines or those who had an adverse reaction to the first dose.

What will become of those who refuse to pay the fines? Prison? Quarantine? Cox doesn’t say, but it’s not rocket science.

 [Waking Times]: According to Prof. Mattias Desmet, psychotherapist and Professor of Clinical Psychology at Ghent University, mental health in our modern societies has been declining for decades. This is indicated, he says, by a steady increase in the number of depression and anxiety issues and the number of suicides. One of the consequences of this, in recent years, is the ‘enormous growth in absenteeism due to psychological suffering and burnouts.’¹ This malaise, we are informed, was growing exponentially even before the pandemic outbreak of 2020.

What this suggests is that there was already a great deal of trauma being experienced within people and within many of our human cultures in the preceding years (as I explored in my book ‘Healing the Wounded Mind’ 2019). Prof. Desmet suggests that these findings indicated that ‘society was heading for a tipping point where a psychological “reorganization” of the social system was imperative.’ In other words, we were, broadly speaking, ripe for a tipping into a new direction one way or another. And the direction we were to be ‘tipped into’ would depend upon the nature of the trigger, how it would be applied, and its related features.

There was already a strong latent apprehension, nervousness and anxiety in many human populations before the ‘health crisis’ landed upon our shores. The reactions of the political establishments, the media, and related organizations that had a vested interest in steering the situation, aroused further fear and panic amongst the people rather than reassuring them (as would have been their role). When a situation is turned into a crisis, it is then only a small further step to turn a crisis into a trauma. When the trauma is related to an expanded event – such as on a global level – then the very nature of that trauma is no longer an isolated experience but a continual process. Furthermore, a continual traumatic process only needs nudges placed at varying intervals to maintain, and sustain, the traumatic experience. 

The danger in this is that such an experience can be prolonged almost indefinitely if the nudges continue to be applied. In such psychological states, it becomes very hard for a person to maintain, and act from, their sovereign self for they have become increasingly externalized and pulled into (or entangled in) a shared traumatic experience....<<<Read More>>>....

 [Daily OM]: It isn't always easy to meet the expectations we hold ourselves to. We may find ourselves in a situation such as just finishing a relaxing yoga class or meditation retreat, a serene session of deep breathing, or listening to some calming, soul-stirring music, yet we have difficulty retaining our sense of peace. A long line at the store, slow-moving traffic, or another stressful situation can unnerve you and leave you wondering why the tranquility and spiritual equilibrium you cultivate is so quick to dissipate in the face of certain stressors. You may feel guilty and angry at yourself or even feel like a hypocrite for not being able to maintain control after practicing being centered. However, being patient with yourself will help you more in your soul's journey than frustration at your perceived lack of progress. Doing the best you can in your quest for spiritual growth is vastly more important than striving for perfection.

Just because you are devoted to following a spiritual path, attaining inner peace, or living a specific ideology doesn't mean you should expect to achieve perfection. When you approach your personal evolution mindfully, you can experience intense emotions such as anger without feeling that you have somehow failed. Simply by being aware of what you are experiencing and recognizing that your feelings are temporary, you have begun taking the necessary steps to regaining your internal balance. Accepting that difficult situations will arise from time to time and treating your reaction to them as if they are passing events rather than a part of who you are can help you move past them. Practicing this form of acceptance and paying attention to your reactions in order to learn from them will make it easier for you to return to your center more quickly in the future.

Since your experiences won't be similar to others' and your behavior will be shaped by those experiences, you may never stop reacting strongly to the challenging situations you encounter. Even if you are able to do nothing more than acknowledge what you are feeling and that there is little you can do to affect your current circumstances, in time you'll alter your reaction to such circumstances. You can learn gradually to let negative thoughts come into your mind, recognize them, and then let them go. You may never reach a place of perfect peace, but you'll find serenity in having done your best.

Fresh wave of protests break out in Europe following reintroduction of COVID-19 restrictions

 [Natural News]: Several protests broke out in European cities and French overseas territories as protesters reacted to the reintroduction of Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions.

Police officers and protesters clashed in Brussels as violence broke out during a protest attended by 35,000 people in the Belgian capital. The march, located in the city’s European Union and government district, largely focused on a ban on the unvaccinated from public venues such as restaurants and bars.

Protests also erupted in several Dutch cities on Sunday, November 21, which is the third night of unrest over the government’s coronavirus restrictions. Demonstrators also set off fireworks and vandalized property in Groningen, Leeuwarden, Enschede and Tilburg.

A Groningen police spokeswoman said riot police are present in the center to restore order. Authorities also issued an emergency order in Enschede, near the German border, and ordered people to stay off the streets.

In Leeuwarden, a football match was briefly disrupted as supporters, who were barred from games due to the restrictions, threw fireworks on the ground. There were also unrests in Rotterdam and in The Hague.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte lashed out at “idiot” rioters who rampaged through cities across the Netherlands as protests against the policies turned violent. So far, over 100 people have been arrested around the country and at least 12 have been injured during the demonstrations.

“This was pure violence disguised as protest,” Rutte said.

While the protest began peacefully, scenes turned ugly at the end of the Brussels protest march. Police fired water cannon and tear gas in response to protesters throwing projectiles, injuring three officers. Several of the demonstrators wore hoods and carried Flemish nationalist flags, while others wore Nazi-era yellow stars.

Social media images showed some demonstrators attacking police vans with street signs.

The Media Is Gagging For Compulsory Vaccination

Burley, like the majority of her peers across the UK broadcast media, is gagging for mandatory vaccination.

On came the human koala bear Dr. David Lloyd. He’s on with Kay three or four times a week. He started by telling Kay that 1 million people have covid in the UK right now and that 1,000 people died of it last week. Horseshit of course, but Kay wasn’t going to go there.

Lloyd then told Burley:

“I think some big decisions have got to be made about vaccinating people, because there is that rump we need to get at who really have been resistant.”

Rump? Does he mean you and me? Got at? What does that mean? How will they get at us?

“What sort of big decisions?” inquired the Ginger Ninja, to which Lloyd replied:

“Well I’ve already gone on record yesterday as saying that there should be mandatory vaccination and been flamed on Twitter, so I’ve got to be careful here.

But I really do think that we need to think very seriously about different ways of getting vaccines up. The Americans have tried bribing and giving out prizes and that sort of thing, so we’ve got to look at every way that we can to get the vaccination rate up.

We need to get people vaccinated against the disease because unvaccinated people are the people that are in hospitals at the moment.”

That’s more horseshit of course and again Kay was found wanting. The Israeli Health Ministry admitted this week, that most of the people in hospital with covid there have been fully jabbed.

In the US, NBC news reported this week that hospitalisations are rising among the fully vaccinated.

Kay put it to him that maybe persuasion would be better than mandating the jabs.

Lloyd said that the problem with persuading people is that they’d rather believe what they read on Twitter instead of listening to the experts who appear on SKY News.

IT NEVER ENDS: Israel prepares citizens to receive fourth dose of a COVID-19 vaccine that has already failed with THREE doses

 [Natural News]: Israel is now preparing its citizens to take a fourth dose of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine. The Middle Eastern nation first talked about preparing people for the fourth vaccine dose back in September, when National Coronavirus Czar Dr. Salman Zarka said that taking more booster shots is necessary.

“Given that the virus is here and will continue to be here, we also need to prepare for a fourth injection,” said Zarka. “This is our life from now on, in waves.”

Ministry of Health Director-General Nachman Ash backed up Zarka’s earlier statement in a recent interview. “We don’t know when it will happen,” said Ash. “I hope very much that it won’t be within six months like this time, and that the third dose will last for longer.”‘

During a press briefing, Ash refused to give a specific timetable for the rollout of the fourth dose.

“It’s probably a matter of time,” he said. “If [protection] lasts for a year, we’d be delighted… In any case, it probably will not last many years, even the booster shot, and we will have to keep getting vaccinated from time to time. I hope it will be a year or more.”

A test of six hybrids, two diesels and one petrol model found the partially-electrified cars produced more volatile organic compounds – or VOCs – than the entirely fossil-fueled vehicles.

VOCs are chemicals that are emitted as gases from some liquids, including petrol and diesel. At certain levels some VOCs can cause cancer and ground-level smog, the report warns.

The report, to be shown at 8:30pm on Monday, also uncovers the existing state of the electric vehicle public charging network in the UK, revealing more than one in 20 devices are out of service – and some charge points have been broken for up to six years.

Channel 4 worked with experts at UK company Emissions Analytics to reveal the greater polluting impact of hybrids cars.

Currently, hybrids are the most popular form of electrified cars in the UK, with more than 207,000 new vehicles entering British roads this year (both conventional and plug-in hybrid), accounting for almost one in six vehicle registrations so far in 2021.

Common Fears

 [Daily OM]: Everyone has fears -- it is a natural part of being human. Fear can protect us from harm by sending a rush of adrenaline to help us physically deal with potential danger. But there are times when fear may keep us from participating fully in life. Once we realize that fear is a state of mind, we can choose to face our fears, change our minds, and create the life we want to live.

Our minds are powerful tools to be used by our higher selves; like computers, storing and using data to make certain connections between thought and response. We have the ability to observe these and choose differently. No matter where the fear came from, we can create new connections by choosing new thoughts. When our souls and minds are in alignment, we create a new experience of reality. This journey requires many small steps, as well as patience and courage through the process. Here's an example: You decide to overcome your fear of driving on the freeway. Your plan of action starts with examining your thoughts and finding a new way of seeing the situation. When you're ready, you enlist a calm companion to support you as you take the first step of merging into the slow lane and using the first exit. Your heart may be racing, but your confidence will be boosted by the accomplishment. Repeat this until you are comfortable, with or without help, and then drive one exit further. When you are ready, you can try driving in the middle lane, for longer periods each time, until you find yourself going where you want to go. This gradual process is similar for conquering any fear, but if you find it overwhelming, you can always seek the help of a professional.

You may think that you are the only one with a particular fear, that nobody else could possibly be scared of ordinary things such as water, heights, public speaking, or flying. These types of fears are very common, and you can have great success overcoming them. Remember, it is not the absence of the fear but the courage to take action anyway that determines success. When we learn to face our fears, we learn to observe our thoughts and feelings but not be ruled by them. Instead we choose how to shape the lives we want.

Who Was I In My Past Life?

[Wake Up World]: The mind is limited. The self is an illusion. We are all One and the same at our very core.

Therefore, if our identity is an illusion, how is it possible to reincarnate? As Sol wrote in a previous article, “Reincarnation of an ‘individual self’ is only as possible to the extent of believing that your sense of ‘self’ – your ego – is real.”

If you believe that you are your personality and are separate from everything and everyone else, you will believe what people traditionally say about reincarnation: that your identity will be reborn into a new body and circumstance.

How is it possible for “you” to reincarnate, if there is no you (other than in your mind) in the first place? This is yet another illusion perpetuated by an ego that is obsessed with its survival. After all, why is reincarnation so appealing to many of us? Because it reassures us that our egos will live on after we die. But if you’ve come to realize that the self is a dreamlike fantasy, you will realize that this isn’t the case.

So what exactly is reincarnation?

In my understanding, reincarnation is the process of recycling energy.

I’ve asked and searched for the answers to this question before too, but somehow always intuitively felt that I wasn’t asking the “right” question or looking in the right place. Have you felt this before?

While I don’t believe that our identities reincarnate, I do believe that we can discover who we were in past lives (because we are all One and share the same underlying consciousness). More precisely, we have been every person that has ever existed, but for practical reasons we each carry a unique imprint of inherited strengths and weaknesses.

Similar to transgenerational epigenetic inheritance (big words that describe the process of inheriting physical, mental and emotional information from your ancestors that doesn’t influence your DNA), it is also possible for us to inherit spiritual maladies of many kinds. As life itself is about evolving, advancing and maturing, it can also be said that our emotional and spiritual lives are maturing as well.

Collectively, we are all evolving, and discovering what inherited core wounds we have is vital in order to become happier and more fulfilled people. Breaking: Australian Army Begins Transferring Contacts of COVID-19 Positive Cases To Quarantine Camps

[The Expose]: In an appalling breach of human rights, 38 indigenous Australians in the Northern Territory have been hauled into quarantine camps by the army.

The Australian army has begun forcibly removing residents in the Northern Territories to the Howard Springs quarantine camp located in Darwin after nine new Covid-19 cases were identified in the community of Binjari. The move comes after hard lockdowns were instituted in the communities of both Binjari and nearby Rockhole on Saturday night.

Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner announced today that the “Residents of Binjari and Rockhole no longer have the five reasons to leave their homes,.” The five allowable reasons to avoid lockdown that he referred to are buying food and supplies, exercising for up to two hours, care or caregiving, work, or education. It is a case of if it can’t be done from home, and to get vaccinated at the nearest possible location.

“They can only leave for medical treatment, in an emergency, or as required by law.” says Gunner, he continues that “It’s highly likely that more residents will be transferred to Howard Springs today, either as positive cases or close contacts,” adding “We have already identified 38 close contacts from Binjari but that number will go up. Those 38 are being transferred now.”

Gunner said that he had contacted the Prime Minister last night and that they are grateful for the support of about 20 ADF personnel, as well as army trucks to assist with the transfer of positive cases and close contacts – and to support the communities. [Humans Are Free]: It’s highly unlikely to come across anybody in the field of ufology who would disagree with the extraterrestrial hypothesis as an explanation for the UFO phenomenon. This is my personal belief based on heavily researching this topic for more than two decades now.

Objects travelling at high speeds and performing maneuvers that no known aircraft can, utilizing what seems to be technology that could change our understanding of physics, has now been publicly disclosed in multiple countries in an “official” manner. To be clear, the reality isn’t new, but the conversation is now available in mainstream discourse.

Recently ,the United States government admitted to the reality of these objects while simultaneously claiming that they don’t know what they are. This claim in itself doesn’t seem to be quite accurate as multiple whistleblowers from “within” have publicly stated that the U.S. government has in fact retrieved some of these objects.

But public UFO disclosure today, unfortunately, doesn’t seem to be much different than what it was decades ago. In the past, we’ve seen presidents like, like Harry Truman for example, publicly acknowledge the reality of UFOs. We’ve also seen programs implemented within government, like Project Blue Book, to study them. The end result always seems to be the same, “we don’t know what they are.”

The Paradox of Spirit

 [Daily OM]: Each of us has a spiritual self that animates our bodies and infuses our thoughts and feelings. Our language is limited to the world we know for descriptions of something that perhaps cannot be fully comprehended by the human mind. Therefore, only metaphors approach the expressions that give us a true sense of our spiritual nature. The paradox lies in opposing concepts, all of which are true at the same time. And in harmonizing the opposites, we begin to know the wonders of the spirit.

The self is not small or big but is both at the same time. Our spirit is like a drop in the ocean of spiritual energy. Although our spirit seems like a small, disconnected part of a larger whole, it is still made of the same things and can become part of the vast ocean once again. Our individual spirit seems to inhabit our bodies like a passenger in a vehicle but at the same time is not bound by our bodies. Spirits can reach across the miles to touch the heart of a loved one or expand to become one with the universe. We may feel small and perhaps insignificantly young when we look up at the stars, but we are made of the same basic elements. Perhaps looking at the stars is merely a reflection of what is going on within each atom and cell of our being. We are a universe within a universe. Our spirits are ever renewing, yet ageless and eternal. So the self is not new or old but both at once.

So our spiritual self is not small or big, new or old. We may experience life as good and bad, right and wrong, happy and sad, but this is the experience of the material world of dualities, not the truth of our spritual nature. By going within to touch the eternal and changeless energy at our center, we can go beyond the contrasting metaphors to the experience of oneness. And in that connection we can know big and small, new and old, movement and stillness. By accepting the paradox of spirit, we open ourselves to the fullness of our own being.

Govt Minister Refuses To Rule Out Vaccine Mandate For UK

[Natural News]: The “deep state” is said to be investigating the mysterious discovery of “questionable vials” labeled “smallpox” that were found in a freezer at a Merck facility just outside of Philadelphia.

An unclassified “For Official Use Only” alert sent to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) leadership explained that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are jointly looking into the matter.

According to reports, a total of 15 vials were found. Five of them were labeled “smallpox” and the other 10 were labeled “vaccinia.” All of the vials are now “secured” by the government.

“There is no indication that anyone has been exposed to the small number of frozen vials,” a spokesman from the CDC told Yahoo News.

“The frozen vials labeled ‘smallpox’ were incidentally discovered by a laboratory worker while cleaning out a freezer in a facility that conducts vaccine research in Pennsylvania.”

The CDC spokesman added that the CDC is working with law enforcement to probe the matter further. All of the vials appeared to be intact and the laboratory worker who discovered them was wearing gloves and a face mask at the time.

A Good Death? sees the relatives of victims asking all these questions and more. They need answers. All their stories bear striking similarities but the one main thing they have in common is an inability to grieve and a belief that this can only happen when the truth is out and justice is

Official Public Health England Data Says COVID Infection Rates Higher in Vaxxed Than Unvaxxed

 [Humans Are Free]: The Spectator has published an article citing official data from Public Health England, which states that for the over 30’s, “the rates of Covid infection per 100,000 are now higher among the vaxxed than the unvaxxed.”

Well, this is awkward.

The article, written by Lionel Shriver, is titled ‘The absurd theatre of vaccine passports’.

It points out that according to official data, vaccines only offer about 17 per cent protection for the over-fifties.

“As I observed then, this would mean the vaxxed and unvaxxed pose a comparable danger to each other,” writes Shriver. “All Covid apartheid schemes are therefore insensible.”

She then clearly explains how the official data undermines the entire argument behind vaccine passports, which ban the unvaccinated from entering innumerable venues.

“Fresher information has fortified this conclusion of the summer. In every age group over 30 in the UK, the rates of Covid infection per 100,000 are now higher among the vaxxed than the unvaxxed.

“Indeed, in the cohorts aged between 40 and 79, infection rates among the vaccinated are more than twice as high as among the unvaccinated.

“PHE’s fruitlessly rechristened body, the UK Health Security Agency, frantically clarifies that the data ‘should not be used to estimate vaccine effectiveness’, a caveat which I include for the sake of accuracy. Are You Excited or Scared?

[Daily OM]: When new challenges and opportunities show up in our lives, we may diagnose ourselves as feeling scared when what we really feel is excited. Often we have not been taught how to welcome the thrill of a new opportunity, and so we opt to back off, indulging our anxiety instead of awakening our courage. One way to inspire ourselves to embrace the opportunities that come our way is to look more deeply into our feelings and see that butterflies in our stomach or a rapidly beating heart are not necessarily a sign that we are afraid. Those very same feelings can be translated as excitement, curiosity, passion, and even love.

There is nothing wrong with being afraid as long as we do not let it stop us from doing the things that excite us. Most of us assume that brave people are fearless, but the truth is that they are simply more comfortable with fear because they face it on a regular basis. The more we do this, the more we feel excitement in the face of challenges rather than anxiety. The more we cultivate our ability to move forward instead of backing off, the more we trust ourselves to be able to handle the new opportunity, whether it's a new job, an exciting move, or a relationship. When we feel our fear, we can remind ourselves that maybe we are actually just excited. We can assure ourselves that this opportunity has come our way because we are meant to take it.

Framing things just a little differently can dramatically shift our mental state from one of resistance to one of openness. We can practice this new way of seeing things by saying aloud: I am really excited about this job interview. I am really looking forward to going on a date with this amazing person. I am excited to have the opportunity to do something I have never done before. As we do this, we will feel our energy shift from fear, which paralyzes, to excitement, which empowers us to direct all that energy in the service of moving forward, growing, and learning.
