Power Animals: Pink Elephants

Pink Elephants are more often than not associated with hallucinations brought on by extreme drunkenness ... quoting Jack London in the novel John Barleycorn describing one such alcoholic "he is the man whom we all know, stupid, unimaginative, whose brain is bitten numbly by numb maggots; who walks generously with wide-spread, tentative legs, falls frequently in the gutter, and who sees, in the extremity of his ecstasy, blue mice and pink elephants. He is the type that gives rise to the jokes in the funny papers." (Wikipedia)

More often than not such hallucinations can be associated with ridiculous and preposterous claims and speculations that are too far fetched to believe. Pink Elephants are the totem animal most associated with agencies intent on misleading and employing techniques of time wasting and deceit.... the most sure way to send one of these strange visitations packing is to sprinkle some salt in the room which you are residing in at the time of the hallucination ...
