European Magpies and Australian Magpies are NOT from the same species of birds; just to clear that confusion up. They are similar in name only.
This particular European Magpie was sighted on a the roof top of a house close by to our own; this photograph was actually been taken through glass.
European Magpies had always been a personal favourite of mine for decades prior to moving over to Australia & New Zealand. It's therefore very pleasing to be able to catalogue a well established favourite of mine in this way.
