Now on the endangered species 'red list', the House Sparrow is close to becoming extinct. Which is truly sad, because they were once very common, seen everywhere in the British countryside, in gardens, in streets etc etc. Since coming back to the UK, in 2017, I have seen less than 20 sparrows! Which is very sad indeed. I captured this photograph back in 2018; one of those very rare sightings.
