"... no matter what our difficulties may be, we recognize that there is a deep untroubled stream flowing below all surface troubles and that we are of one substance with that stream. The soul knows no difficulties." -- James Thornton

Layers of Feeling

Many people are taught from a young age to suppress feelings commonly regarded as negative, such as anger, resentment, fear, and sorrow. Those who cannot or will not express these emotions tend to engage in passive-aggressive behaviors that provide them with a means of redirecting their feelings. Passive aggression can take many forms: People who feel guilty saying “no” may continually break their promises because they couldn’t say no when they meant it. Others will substitute snide praise for a slur to distance themselves from the intense emotions they feel. More often than not, such behavior is a cry for help uttered by those in need of compassion and gentle guidance. When we recognize passive-aggressive patterns in the behavior of others, we should never allow ourselves to be drawn into a struggle for power. Passive aggression is most often wielded by those who feel powerless in the face of what they perceive as negative emotions because they hope to avoid confronting their true feelings. They feel they are in control because they do not display overt emotion and often cannot understand how they have alienated their peers. If someone close to us shows signs of frustration or annoyance but claims nothing is amiss, we can point out that their tone of voice or gestures are communicating a different message and invite them to confide in us. When we feel slighted by a backhanded compliment, it is important that we calmly explain how the jibe made us feel and why. And when an individual continually breaks their promises, we can help them understand that they are free to say no if they are unwilling to be of service. As you learn to detect passive aggression, you may be surprised to see a hint of it in yourself. Coping with the natural human tendency to veil intense emotions can be as simple as reminding yourself that expressing your true feelings is healthy. The emotions typically regarded as negative will frequently be those that inspire you to change yourself and your life for the better, whereas passive-aggressive behavior is a means of avoiding change. When you deal constructively with your feelings, you can put them behind you and move forward unencumbered by unexplored emotion.

Formlessness

The 22nd Aethyr, LIN, is the Aethyr of the void. While here, if you look downward you will get a sense of time and space and form, a typical human sensation. If you look upward, however, you will get a sense of the infinity and formlessness, a very different feeling from what you are humanly accustomed to. LIN is situated on the threshold of form and formlessness. It is a place to understand and actually feel the difference between these two states of being. As in many of the other Aethyrs, LIN is an area of change and after your experiences here, you will never be the same.

If you travel this region you will undoubtedly come across the guide Pan. He often appears winged and multi-colored with an air of pride and is noticeably handsome. He will either play his pan-pipe or you may just hear music . There is a kind of rapture here that can catch and hold you spellbound. In a sense, it is the music of the pan-pipe, but in another it is the feeling of losing the sense of time as you leave form and enter the formless areas of this Aethyr.

Having been anchored in form through your physical existence, this Aethyr begins to loosen your grip on form. Travel to many of the upper Aethyrs requires that you relinquish your form and dissolve your being into the vast pool of consciousness. Here you get to test this aspect of yourself and to learn what it feels like to let go of matter and take a dip in the divine substance of which your spirit is made of. (wisdomsdoor)

A Door Open Wide

A sudden curious thought, then,
‘These scholars are not even aware they are dead’
They see me there before them
Rushing past in the wake of the messenger
who leads me wordlessly to the room at the end
and the waiting elder
Like I am a former pupil called back ....
I watch the door open wide
the scholars forgotten
as I see a void of blinding white light appear before me
A mighty horse is rearing and coming towards me across the threshold
there is a rider, a warrior carrying a broadsword
and on its face there is a grimace, the sword too heavy to bear

A Word on 'Turtle & Tortoise Totem Animal'

The Turtle and the Tortoise are very similar in nature and appearance. Some Turtles, however, have the added element of being considered a sea and land creature, while the Tortoise, due to its lack of webbed feet, is more grounded and connected to the Earth. There is one species of Turtle, the massive Sea Turtle, which never leaves the water except to lay eggs. Both are considered sacred by many cultures and tribes.

The Turtle comes in many sizes and some Box Turtles can be very small, about the size of a quarter. Box Turtles are one of those who live on the land. Some species of Turtle seldom leave the water and have webbed feet to aid in fast swimming. The female will leave the water to dig a deep hole in the sand in which to lay her eggs. These Turtles are very connected to the element of water and the flowing freedom it brings. Turtle shells are very beautiful and the markings often found at the bottom of their bodies can be quite intricate and artistic.

According to some cultures, the top shell of a turtle is said to represent Heaven while the bottom of the shell or underbelly is thought to represent Mother Earth. The Turtle unites Heaven and Earth. There is a Chinese legend that tells of the Sacred Turtle; its shell contains a map of the Nine Regions of China and it holds up the sky, he is honored and respected by the people of that country. The Turtle is also one of the Four Guardians of the Compass of Celestial Emblems of the Chinese Emperor; it guards the North is associated with the winter season and its color symbol is black. The Lakota Indians of the Midwest United States see the Turtle as their creator, to them she is a feminine power and, as she grants life; she is sacred to them. The women of the Lakota tribe aspire to be as the Turtle, flexible and long-lived...read more...

Shasta County Chemtrail/Geo-Engineering Contamination Cover-Up

'Numerous residents from Shasta County have reported multiple tests to the Shasta County Air Quality District that reveal a mass contamination of both aluminum and barium. Aluminum in free form is very toxic to eco-systems and human health.

Residents of the county believe that the source of contamination is from geo-engineering/chemtrail programs that allegedly have been deployed on a mass scale during the past few years. Despite many attempts from concerned residents to get the office to look into this, no action has been taken to date to address this issue...Read more:

Millions of motorists face £300 bill to install digital radios as ministers press ahead with FM switch-off

Millions of motorists will be forced to spend hundreds of pounds replacing or converting their car radios with new digital sets. The coalition Government is to press on with controversial plans to switch off FM and medium wave radio in favour of digital – leaving much of the nation with no option but to pay out for new equipment both at home and in the car. Despite serious concerns that the public neither wants nor is ready for the change, Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt is expected to announce he will stick with Labour’s plans for a mass switchover in the next five years. One of the greatest surprises you'll experience, is when you discover that you can do what you were afraid you couldn't do. Your obstacles will melt away, if instead of cowering before them, you make up your mind to walk boldly through them. Do the thing you fear and fear disappears. Confront your fears, list them, get to know them and only then will you be able to put them aside and move ahead. When you face the things that scare you, you open the door to freedom. The only thing you have to fear, is fear itself.

Pot Versus Alcohol: Experts Say Booze Is the Bigger Danger

'Decades later, the social debate regarding the use of marijuana versus alcohol rages on. Yet among objective experts who have studied the issue there remains little debate at all. Despite pot's long-standing criminalization, scientists agree that the drug possesses far less harm than its legal and celebrated companion, alcohol.

For example, in the mid-1990s, the World Health Organization commissioned a team of experts to compare the health and societal consequences of marijuana use compared to other drugs, including alcohol, nicotine, and opiates. After quantifying the harms associated with both drugs, the researchers concluded: "Overall, most of these risks (associated with marijuana) are small to moderate in size. In aggregate they are unlikely to produce public health problems comparable in scale to those currently produced by alcohol and tobacco On existing patterns of use, cannabis poses a much less serious public health problem than is currently posed by alcohol and tobacco in Western societies...Read more

Opening to Receive Comfort

When we experience something that causes us to feel shock and sadness, we may feel the urge to withdraw from life. It may seem like remaining withdrawn will keep us protected from the world, but during these times it is important to reach out to those trusted and precious people who care about us the most. Even with our best information and reasoning, we never know when someone else’s experience or perspective can give us additional information that we need. The universe speaks to us through many channels, and when we open ourselves up to receive its messages, we also receive nurturing care from a loving partner in life’s journey. Grief is part of the human experience, and sharing our vulnerability is what creates truly close bonds in our relationships. Opening ourselves up in this way gets to the core of our being, past all of our defenses and prejudices. When life seems to crack the outer shell of our world, we are both raw and fresh at the same time. It is then that we discover who is truly willing to walk with us through life. We also see that some of those sent to us may not be the ones we expected to see. Regardless, we learn to trust in the universe, in others, in our own strength and resilience, and in the wisdom of life itself. Sharing grief allows us to ease our burden by letting someone else help carry it. This helps us process our own inner thoughts and feelings through the filter of a trusted and beloved someone. We may feel guilty or selfish, as if we are unloading on someone who has their own challenges. Although, if we think about it, we know we would do the same for them, and their protests would seem pointless. Remember that not sharing feelings with others denies them the opportunity to feel. We may be the messenger sent by the universe for their benefit, and it is on this mission that we have been sent. By sharing our hopes and fears, joys and pains with another person, we accept the universe’s gifts of wisdom and loving care.

Intelligent Cars Will Report Accidents to Authorities

The car, which is being developed by researchers at computer chip giant Intel, will record information about the vehicle speed, steering and braking along with video footage from inside and outside the vehicle. This would be automatically sent to police and insurance companies in the event of an accident to make it easier to determine the cause of car crashes and identify the person responsible.

The device forms part of an intelligent car envisaged by researchers at computer chip giant Intel. They are developing technology that will transform cars into smart vehicles that are able to detect dangers on the road and even take over control from motorists.' Read more:

They appear the same as us; possessing the same physiology as us on the outside. But spiritually there is something different in their make up. Their DNA has been wired in a different way to us. To explore different barriers. Coded with different strands as an experiment. Just like with us. We appear to be seeded by the same 'creators' ... the same gods can be seen in their archaeology. Statues and pillars bedecked in similar ways to our own ancients. They see me and realise I am there, but acknowledge by telepathy that I visit in an electrical form. I bear a solid form elsewhere. On a world which is known to them. I drift like a wraith through corridors within one of their cities. I ascertain the city is one which is located beneath the surface of their world. And now one or two of their holy ones are gathering around me. They acknowledge me and recognise my genetic form. They are saying their is much wisdom to be shared. An enormous task for so much history has been lost on both worlds ....but for now they lead me through their city and out onto the surface of their world ... for me to behold as a confirmation the places I once knew before my many earthly births. Germany v Spain: Paul the psychic octopus predicts World Cup defeat for Joachim Löw

Germany have been dealt a 'massive' blow to their World Cup chances after the psychic octopus, Paul, picked Spain to win their semi-final clash. Paul has predicted all of Germany's World Cup results correctly so far, including wins against England and Argentina. Paul even said that Serbia would beat Germany 1-0 in the group stage. However, there is still a glimmer of hope for Germany. In all his years of making predictions, the only one Paul has ever got wrong was the Spain v Germany final at Euro 2008. The octopus opted for Germany but Spain were the victors, winning 1-0. German fans are now hoping the opposite will happen and by picking Spain to win it will actually be Germany who come out on top. Such is the popularity that surrounds the octopus the German news channel n-tv actually broadcasted its Germany-Spain prediction live, even having two reporters commentating on it...read more...

An interesting landscape on Mars .... a natural formation (Perhaps lava flows?) or evidence of an intelligent civilisation on Mars?

I am Therefore I Think

Physical reality is one big cooperative venture. You inhabit a small corner of the universe with billions of other people in an attempt to understand yourself and your abilities. One of the ways you learn about yourself is by the impact your thoughts have on your reality; that’s called direct learning. Your thoughts impact against physical reality and physical reality mirrors back at you that reality that is coming from you. In other words, if you are filled with love and joy, most likely the world you perceive about you will reflect this love and joy. People will probably be pleasant and happy. Your physical surroundings will, also, reflect this attitude back toward you. When you look around, you are likely to see pleasing objects and people and things. Now, this mirroring does not mean that your physical reality is devoid of all other aspects, other than what presently emanates from you. What this mirroring implies is that, generally, you will see what is within you manifest physically. If you looked hard enough, you would find the opposite, like hate and friction, as opposed to love and joy. This discrepancy, in the mirroring-effect, from the internal to the external world, is due to your being part of a cooperative reality. In a cooperative reality, one person’s mirror will reflect onto another person’s mirror, to some degree. For example, the hate and friction you find in your reality of joy and love may be from someone else’s mirror, not yours. This cooperative interaction of each other’s mirrors helps keep you from falling into the trap of stagnation. You learn not only by your mistakes and merits, but by everyone else’s mistakes and merits...READ MORE...

The Colour Purple

Purple combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. Purple is associated with royalty. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic.

According to surveys, almost 75 percent of pre-adolescent children prefer purple to all other colours. Purple is a very rare colour in nature; some people consider it to be artificial. Light purple is a good choice for a feminine design. You can use bright purple when promoting children's products. Light purple evokes romantic and nostalgic feelings. Dark purple evokes gloom and sad feelings. It can cause frustration. (color-wheel-pro)

Gaining control now ... determining if these are impressions of a living child. Now a coldness across the skin, almost a numbness ... and a clearly pounding heartbeat. No connections with the 'spirit realms' ... "there is no need, she isn't there so it is not necessary to make that type of connection. But what you need is to re-establish the insight gained by Elisabeth, for she is the one who walks alongside her on a daily basis. They talk, but mainly with her mind. She is a much more silent child these days apparently prone to car sickness ..." I ask if she is on the move as I write. The moment in time of which I now see ... there are images of a dark car on the move and she is impatient. She is uncomfortable. She has been sleeping restlessly ... and is now awake. I ask Elisabeth to come forward and make a connection. "They are waiting. Waiting for that call. Many broken promises and so many apparent hoaxes. Times and places supplied to no avail. They wait for that one call from those they know who is at the heart. The same ones who supplied them with the contact in the very first instance. Along long corridors conversations were undertaken in the months before she was conceived. They are the ones who are behind it all. Those who supplied the hope and the means. Going back on their word. They appear to have claimed back what it was they apparently provided. They know the connection between the parents and the child. They know the exposure the entire thing has created .................... but it was THEY who took her." Madeleine apparently does have another name and is the member of another family. Spy Tech That ‘Monitors Conversations’ Being Launched in Europe

Privacy rights advocates and civil liberties campaigners in Europe are raising the alarm about a new surveillance system that monitors conversations in public. The surveillance system, dubbed Sigard, has been installed in Dutch city centers, government offices and prisons, and a recent test-run of the technology in Coventry, England, has British civil rights experts worried that the right to privacy will disappear in efforts to fight street crime.

The system's manufacturer, Sound Intelligence, says it works by detecting aggression in speech patterns. "Ninety percent of all incidents involving physical aggression are preceded by verbal aggression," the Sound Intelligence Web site says. "The ability to spot verbal aggression before it turns into a violent outbreak delivers valuable time to security personnel and enables speedy intervention"...Read more:

Energetic Motion

Since our lives are constantly in motion energetically, change is a constant element of our existence. As dynamic as that energy is, it is not random or haphazard in nature—the shifts in energy that are constantly taking place are the result of our choices. The formulation of intention, a change in perspective, or the creation of a goal can transform our lives in blink of an eye. We think positive thoughts and the world becomes a brighter place. Or we decide who we want to be and become that person. With each passing moment, we are given innumerable opportunities to create change using nothing more than our awareness. In the span of a single second, our lives can change immeasurably because energy moves at a pace more rapid than anything we can consciously fathom. Though we may not at first be sensitive to the vibrational shifts taking place, our choices are ultimately at the heart of these transformations. We can typically recognize the consequences of key decisions because we anticipated the resultant energetic shifts. But many, if not most, of the choices we make each day are a product of instantaneous reactions, and these still have a significant impact on the energy of our existence. It is for this reason that we should learn to wield what control we can over these shifts. If we bear in mind that all we think and all we do will shape the existence we know, we can deliberately direct the energetic motion of our lives. Each day, you make an infinite array of decisions that cause energy shifts in the world around you. In many cases, these transitions are almost imperceptible, while in others the change that takes place is palpable not only to you but also to those in your sphere of influence. Your awareness of the immediate energetic consequences of your thoughts and actions can guide you as you endeavor to make the most of the autonomy that defines you as an individual. The myriad choices you make from moment to moment, however inconsequential they may seem, represent your personal power, which sanctions you to transform the energetic tide of your existence with nothing more than your will.

Madhouse Medical Tyranny: When Health Becomes Sickness

'Dictatorships know that the battle for complete control is ultimately won or lost in the minds of the target population. As the oppression advances, it tends to move from propaganda mind control to the direct intervention into the mind via pharmaceuticals. We are now seeing the overt global coordination of the psychiatry profession to convince every resident of planet Earth that all clear thinking, healthy living, and wholesome innocence is some kind of disorder that needs to be corrected (suppressed) with drugs to render zombie-like those whose instincts afford them the ability of discernment.

We have seen this before — the role of the medical establishment in dictatorships such as Nazi Germany is well documented. It is the pre-Endgame, if you will, before the final culling takes place. The proof that we are being led by a medical tyranny to soften us up for population reduction is of course not something to make light of. However, it is absurd, because it is a manufactured attempt to re-define the natural human condition. So, let us get up to speed on our mental disorders as a gallows humor descends...Read more:

Again and again we need to appreciate the subtle workings of the teachings and the practice, and even when there is no extraordinary, dramatic change, to persevere with calm and patience. How important it is to be skillful and gentle with ourselves, without becoming disheartened or giving up, but trusting the spiritual path and knowing that it has its own laws and its own dynamics.

Journey To The Canal Of The Silent Barges

As The Traveller I ventured through the mines and catacombs of the lower realms. Dark and inhospitable passageways filled with corbyantic screams and sudden flashes of the phantoms that lurked in these places. I was safe here. I felt safe here. Unthreatened by any of the crawling and screaming humanoid forms that crawled around me as I ventured further, deeper, into the lower realms.

Presently, the scenery began to shift and change. I now ventured along corridors of an asylum. There were endless rooms on either side. Rooms containing screaming, shouting, arguing souls ... families locked in their disagreements. Killers confronted by their victims. Rapists reasoning with those they raped. The corridor was endless ... the suffering witnessed in every cell. It saddened me to see humanity reduced to this turmoil. Souls trapped in a cyclic continuum.

Then I wandered into the halls of incarnation. Souls determined to return back to earth to resolve their differences. To overcome the apparent mistakes seemingly made ... I ventured on, disinterested by that cycle. Turning to my companion I asked how would it all end. My companion remarked it would never end if it was left to them ... for the souls are too trapped in the cycle to realise. But, my companion concluded, the end would come by turning the machine off. I was taken aback by the bold simplicity of the statement. I was intrigued and asked how would it happen and what would be the effect. My companion said all the suffering would cease and all the souls would return to where they were before the need for constant reincarnation occurred.

Then presently a ghoul stood before me ... and challenged me. Fearlessly I remained unaffected by its presence ... and I raised a golden light which absorbed its force. Ahead of me now ... I beheld canals with silent barges bedecked in egyptian regalia and shining gold. I took note of the sleeping souls. Lost souls of the dead. My companion demanded then I remembered where I was ... and it was then I realised. I watched as the dead rise from the barges back into eternal life. I witnessed and remembered it all ....

A Word on 'Ayahuasca'

After being virtually ignored by Western civilization for centuries, there has been a huge surge of interest in Ayahuasca recently. There is a growing belief that it is a kind of ‘medicine for our times’, giving hope to people with ‘incurable’ diseases like cancer and HIV, drug addictions and inspiring answers to the big ecological problems of modern civilization.

Spirituality is at the centre of the Ayahuasca experience. Purification and cleansing of body, mind, and spirit in a shamanic ceremony can be the beginning of a process of profound personal and spiritual discovery and transformation. This process can continue indefinitely even if one never drinks Ayahuasca again. One thing is sure, and that is that every person gets a unique experience. We believe that by seriously looking at the way Ayahuasca is used we can improve our life experience and benefit more from this medicine.

Ayahuasca is the jungle medicine of the upper Amazon. It is made from the ayahuasca vine ( Banisteriopsis Caapi) and the leaf of the Chacruna plant (Psychotria Viridis). The two make a potent medicine, which takes one into the visionary world. The vine is an inhibitor, which contains harmala and harmaline among other alkaloids, and the leaf contains vision-inducing alkaloids. As with all natural medicines, it is a mixture of many alkaloids that makes their unique properties. For example, Peyote, the cactus used by the North Native Americans, is said to contain 32 active alkaloids, so when one of those alkaloids, mescaline is synthesised in a laboratory, contrary to popular opinion, the result is not at all the same.

The oldest know object related to the use of ayahuasca is a ceremonial cup, hewn out of stone, with engraved ornamentation, which was found in thePastaza culture of the Ecuadorian Amazon from 500 B.C. to 50 A.D. It is deposited in the collection of the Ethnological Museum of the CentralUniversity (Quito, Ecuador). This indicates that ayahuasca potions were known and used at least 2,500 years ago.

Ayahuasca is a name derived from two Quechua words: aya means spirit, ancestor, deceased person, and huasca means vine or rope, hence it is known as vine of the dead or vine of the soul. It is also known by many other local names including yaje, caapi, natema, pinde, daime, mihi, & dapa. It plays a central role in the spiritual, religious and cultural traditions of the Indigenous and Mestizo (mixed blood) peoples of the upper Amazon, Orinoco plains and the Pacific coast of Colombia and Ecuador.

The plants are collected from the rainforest in a sacred way and it is said that a shaman can find plentiful sources of the vine by listening for the ‘drumbeat’ that emanates from them. The mixture is prepared by cutting the vines to cookable lengths, scraping and cleaning them, pounding them into a pulp. Meanwhile the Chacruna leaves and picked and cleaned...READ MORE...

Our Universe revealed: Dramatic 'all-sky' photo that gives new clues about what happened after the Big Bang

This is the oldest light in the Universe. This incredible image shows the remains of the fireball out of which our Universe sprang into existence 13.7 billion years ago. It provides scientists with new insight into the way stars and galaxies form but also tells us how the Universe itself came to life after the Big Bang. It was produced by a European space telescope called Planck and is the mission's first 'all-sky' image which took six months to create. While the Milky Way shows us what the local Universe looks like now, the microwaves in the background of this image show us what the Universe probably looked like close to its time of creation, before there were stars or galaxies.'This is the moment that Planck was conceived for,' says ESA Director of Science and Robotic Exploration, David Southwood. 'We’re not giving the answer. We are opening the door to an Eldorado where scientists can seek the nuggets that will lead to deeper understanding of how our Universe came to be and how it works now. 'The image itself and its remarkable quality is a tribute to the engineers who built and have operated Planck. Now the scientific harvest must begin.' From the closest portions of the Milky Way to the furthest reaches of space and time, the new all-sky Planck image is an extraordinary treasure chest of new data for astronomers. The main disc of our Galaxy runs across the centre of the image. Immediately striking are the streamers of cold dust reaching above and below the Milky Way. This galactic web is where new stars are being formed, and Planck has found many locations where individual stars are edging toward birth or just beginning their cycle of development. (Daily Mail)

A Dream of White

A dream of white
wondrous warm breezes that percolate through a timeless state
an unseen sun shines
and a forgotten face smiles
and there are no words spoken
for that disability is lost ... there
here where all are aware of thoughts
and thoughts merge and combine
and are contented without barriers
there is no confusion
there are no limits
no regrets only continuing existence
no matter where

and in the dream of white
everything is perpetual
and there are endless stairs to climb
endless white meadows to wander
and thoughts converge and merge
and contribute to the aware-nesses that surround
and are contained within and around all things...

Grandkids to Welcome 'Uberveillance'

You may reject the idea of a microchip implant, but your grandchildren could embrace them, according to an Australian professor. Katrina Michael, associate professor of the University of Wollongong's school of information systems and technology, and author of scientific paper Towards a State of Uberveillance, said subdermal chip implants in humans could be commonplace within two to three generations.

But at present, she regards the device as a threat to life and liberty because technologists and politicians largely do not know if silicon chips could harm the human body and have not determined the terms in which the devices can be used...Read more:

Interesting vapour like trails on Mars. The question has to be what is the cause of these vapour trails? They appear to have been 'ejected' from beneath the martian surface ...

BP and Government Misleading Public About Safety Of Florida Beaches

'As a tide of tarballs from the BP Gulf Oil Spill assaults the Florida coast line local Florida residents, businesses and county officials are demanding action from BP, State, and Federal Government officials in charge of monitoring and responding to the spill. Local residents in Walton County, Florida demanded a Town Hall meeting to discuss the lack of response to the oil assaulting the coast line.

They are also demanding answers to other questions like why local beaches have been declared safe and remain open even though tarballs have been washing ashore for weeks in Florida and the DEP hasn’t tested the waters for hydrocarbons since May 1st...Read more:

Breaking: Obama Shuts Down 33% of the Country’s Oil Refining Capacity

'Whereas Obama is trying to crush Arizona by suing it into the ground to prevent it from defending itself from illegal immigration, and it is preventing any clean up efforts in Louisiana after 71 days, it has just been learned from one of our conatcts in Texas that Obama by way of the EPA has just shut down today 33% of the country’s refining capacity.

While Obama was unsuccessful at putting a moratorium on oil drilling, he was able to accomplish the same thing by putting a stranglehold on oil refining which accomplishes the same thing. With 1/3rd of the country’s oil refining gone what do you think this will do to the economy? This was the inherent threat that Obama had presented for months. Either give him Cap and Trade or we will shut everything down through the EPA...Read more:

Think You’re Operating on Free Will? Think Again

'Studies have found that upon entering an office, people behave more competitively when they see a sharp leather briefcase on the desk, they talk more softly when there is a picture of a library on the wall, and they keep their desk tidier when there is a vague scent of cleaning agent in the air. But none of them are consciously aware of the influence of their environment.

There may be few things more fundamental to human identity than the belief that people are rational individuals whose behavior is determined by conscious choices. But recently psychologists have compiled an impressive body of research that shows how deeply our decisions and behavior are influenced by unconscious thought, and how greatly those thoughts are swayed by stimuli beyond our immediate comprehension...Read more:

Underneath the Noise

You may have noticed that if you want to speak to someone in a noisy, crowded room, the best thing to do is lean close and whisper. Yelling in an attempt to be louder than the room’s noise generally only hurts your throat and adds to the chaos. Similarly, that still, small voice within each of us does not try to compete with the mental chatter on the surface of our minds, nor does it attempt to overpower the volume of the raucous world outside. If we want to hear it, no matter what is going on around us or even inside us, we can always tune in to that soft voice underneath the surrounding noise. It is generally true that the more insistent voices in our heads delivering messages that make us feel panicky or afraid are of questionable authority. They may be voices we internalized from childhood or from the culture, and as such they possess only half-truths. Their urgency stems from their disconnectedness from the center of our being, and their urgency is what catches our attention. This The other voice that whispers reassurances that everything is fundamentally okay simply delivers its message with quiet confidence. , and oOnce we hear it, we know it speaks the truth. Generally, once we ha’ve heard what it has to say, a powerful sense of calm settles over our entire being, and the other voices and sounds, once so dominant, fade into the background, suddenly seeming small and far away. We may find that our own communications in the world begin to be influenced by the quiet certainty of this voice. We may be less inclined to indulge in idle chatter as we become more interested in maintaining our connection to the whisper of truth that broadcasts its message like the sound of the wind shaking the leaves of a tree. As we align ourselves more with this quiet confidence, we become an extension of the whisper, penetrating the noise of the world and creating more peace, trust, and confidence.
