Favourite's Collection #28

A very iconic Australian native bird is the Laughing Kookaburra. It has a distinctive cry, which I often heard on my bush walks. I was even lucky to capture a video of a mating pair both 'laughing' in the Eucalyptus tree branch in front of me.

I have hundreds of satisfactory images of Kookaburra, which makes the choosing of several of them that bit more difficult. This particular image has been included in my Favourite's Collection because I would often see this same Kookaburra sitting on the same tree branch, literally waiting for me to arrive. We struck up an understanding ... its mate and young were in a nest within the tree bough to its left ....
