Turning To A Vice Ahead Of A Virtue

We're taught from an early age the difference between right and wrong; this is based, primarily, on the laws set down by human beings to control other human beings. It is a method of control and separation; a travesty; a distortion in the mirror.

Because in truth, this is a Prison Planet; an orb where it is the survival of the fittest. We need laws and rules yes for a 'civilised society' ... that is what we supposedly have on earth at this time. In theory yes; but in practice, a different picture may well be hung on the wall.

So many people would choose the vices (Vice is a practice, behaviour, or habit generally considered immoral, sinful, criminal, rude, taboo, depraved, or degrading in the associated society. In more minor usage, vice can refer to a fault, a negative character trait, a defect, an infirmity, or a bad or unhealthy habit) over the virtues to get somewhere in life. They would choose to steal; to lie; to disadvantage their rival or opponent, if it meant the chance to keep paying the bills, and have a roof over their heads. The virtues are all very well and good - Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Justice, Temperance, Prudence, and Courage - sound very good on paper, but when confronted with someone who is prepared to be ruled by a non-virtuous emotion, when does it get you?

Rarely does playing by the rules get you anywhere in the modern day. We're not saying to turn to a life of crime, or bend the rules ... but we are hear to remind you that those who wrote the rules, don't keep to the rules. They are the worst at turning to a vice ahead of a virtue. There are many survivors of society out there who do what it takes to get by. Instead of playing a perfect hand at a card game, relying on their skill to win, they prefer to hide a card or two on their person to get their result by dishonesty. It happens in all walks of life ... and it is a fact of human life. Sadly.
