One of the great Aussie icons of the natural world has been inexplicably ignored as far as the Favourite's Collection folder is concerned. I talk about the Kookaburra. This image was taken on the Urambi Hills ... one of the residents sitting in his familiar tree; guarding the tree from predators as his mate was concealed in a natural hole in the tree just below where he sat; nursing their young.
