Fluoride: A Killer In Your Water Supply


Sodium Fluoride is an extremely toxic substance - just 200mg of Fluoride ions is sufficient to kill a young child; just 3 -5 grams (one teaspoon) will kill an adult. There have been many recorded incidents of deaths due to exposure to Fluoride ions - adults involved in accidents with fluoridation equipment & dialysis machines; children swallowing fluoride gels. The level of fluoride put into water (1ppm) is up to 200 times higher than normally found in mother's milk (0.005 - 0.001ppm). There are no benefits, only risks, for infants injesting this heightened level of fluoride at such an early age; an age where susceptibility to environmental toxins is especially high.

Fluoride is a cumulative poison. On average, only 50% injested daily is excreted through the kidneys. The remainder (50%) accumulates in our bones, pineal gland, and other tissue. If our kidneys are damaged, fluoride accumulation will increase and with it the likelihood of harm.

Fluoride is also very biologically active even at low concentrations. It interferes with hydrogen bonding and inhbits numerous enzymes. When complexed with aluminium, fluoride interferes with G-Proteins. Such interactions give aluminium-fluoride complexes the potential to interfere with many hormonal & neurochemical signals.

Fluoride is also known to be mutagenic - causes chromosome damage and interferes with enzymes involved with DNA repair. This has been found in several cell and tissue studies.

Fluoride is not an essential nutrient. Humans can have perfectly good teeth without fluoride.

Once flouride is added to water it is impossible to control the dose each individual receives. This is because many people consume more water than others; and also it is possible to obtain fluoride from other sources besides water. Fluoride is also present in foods & beverages processed with fluoridated water; fluoridated dental products; mechanically deboned meat; teas and pesticide residues on food.

The chemicals used to fluoridate water in the US are not pharmaceutical grade. They originate from the wet, scrubbing systems of the superphosphate fertilised industry. 90% of these chemicals are Sodium Flurosilicate & Flurosilicic Acid; which are both classified as hazadous wastes. They are also found to be contaminated with other toxic chemicals; levels of Arsenic as high as 1.6 ppm after dilution, which is of particular concern in its own right, have been found present.

These hazardous chemicals have never been tested comprehensively. The chemicals usually tested on animals is pharmaceutical grade Sodium Fluoride, not industrial grade flurosilicic acid. The assumption which is often made, is that by the time this waste product has been diluted, all the flurosilicic acid will have been converted into free fluoride ions, and any other toxics and radioactive isotopes will be so dilute that they will not cause any harm, even with lifetime exposure.

It is an ASSUMPTION only that deadly and highly toxic chemicals present in this industrial grade POISON will have been diluted sufficiently to be harmless and safe for human consumption. Not tested, assumed. These assumptions have never been examined carefully by scientists independant of the fluoridation programme.
