Waving club flags and wearing T-shirts showing his face they sang "bring back the special one" and chanted Mourinho's name.
Earlier, the club announced the joint-team of Director of football Avram Grant and assistant manager Steve Clarke as the men to take charge of the team after Mourinho left the club by "mutual consent". A statement was made on the club's website but it did not say whether the positions were permanent.
