Bay of Plenty children may have thought a bump in the early hours this morning was Santa finishing his rounds.
However it was a 3.7 magnitude quake centred 10km north of Matata which hit at 4.49am, Geonet said. It was felt in Whakatane. (Yahoo Xtra News)
