Labour Increases Lead Despite Bank Crisis

Sky News Headline; says: 'The Labour Party has increased its poll lead over the Tories despite the banking crisis of the last few days and David Cameron is Britain's least popular party leader. 40% of voters questioned between 13th and 16th September said they would vote for Labour in a possible general election, while support for the Conservatives fell by 8 points to 32%.

It is the biggest deficit in any ICM poll since David Cameron became leader at the end of 2005. But there was better news for Sir Menzies Campbell, LibDem support rose by two points to 20%.
