The 'King of the Flames' sits in his throne at the foot of the trail that leads in the direction of the arrow. The middle path, between the two most obvious of extremes. In his mind are his thoughts of the healthy 'red dragon', for in the landscape in which he observes all things appear as the elementals of fire. He appears kindly and his counsel can be assumed as being wise. Well versed in this heated environment he is able to apply coolness and calmness to that volatile and vulcanizing environment.
For the warrioress, this appears to be a 'prayer answered' as she was truly fearful of revelations appertaining to either the left or the right path. In matters of life and death those revelations need to be avoided, hence her relief to be counselled along the path between the two. And, though her steed leads her through the lapping waves of the shoreline, the waves barely cover the white horse's hooves. It is truly not deep water at all this time. Behind her, in the background unnoticed the whale comes to the surface to feed barely seen at all. That which is uncovered, apparently diverted once more by the foreground scenery
In the skies overhead .... two gulls are locked in confrontation. Their cries in unison give rise to the doubt of what is really being said this day.
