The 27th Path is the Exciting Intelligence and is so called because through it every existent being receives its spirit and motion. It lies below The Veil, between the spheres of Hod & Netzach which are both at the base of a side pillar. Here then is a path which is representative of the opposite energy dynamics of the left hand and right hand sides of the tree of life. The outcome is 'explosive' ... making it a path of revolutionary change; of overwhelming force which blasts apart the existing order of things. The workings of its energies can be seen as senseless destruction, but this is an illusion. The path's energy are harsh, but necessary as a cleansing force which sweeps away the clutter in the universe as well as within ourselves. Understandably, the tarot correspondence with this path is that of The Blasted Tower. The Hebrew letter of the path is Peh which is the 'mouth'.
