Triangular Currency Fit for A King

The world's first triangular coin will enter circulation today to commemorate the return of Tutankhamun's treasures to London.

The coin, representing a pyramid, is part of a series which depicts the riches unearthed during the discovery of the young pharaoh by English archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922.

The mintage, which features the coffinette which contained the boy king's mummified remains held in the Valley of the Kings, coincides with the current Tutankhamun exhibition at the O2 Arena in London.

The travelling display has returned to the capital for the first time in 30 years.

The special coins have been issued by the Isle of Man government in recognition of its connections to ancient Egypt. The Crown dependency is famed by its Triskelion symbol - the ancient Celtic symbol consisting of three interlocked spirals, relating to the sun, afterlife and reincarnation - and is also home to Mr Carter's nephew Maurice.

The Egyptians believed the sun descended into the netherworld after it set and travelled through the night before it rose again the next day. (Sky News)

Very symbolic eh? The Queen at the 'centre' of the 'pyramid' ... very NWO eh? It is said that the Pharoahs fled to the UK in the dim and distant past ... now there is a 'commemorative' coin being put into circulation that places the Queen and the pyramid of 'Egypt' in one image ... just coincidence surely?
