The Egocentric Personality

Everyone interacts, and perceives, this world in their own unique way. What is right as beliefs, and views, for one person is not necessary right for another person.

Which means that no person has the right to try and force their views and perceptions onto another person. Not at all! Especially if the person who is forcing their perceptions, and personal views, onto another person has no concept of what the other person is about. They are likely to be judging the other person's perception on the world through the filter of their own. If they haven't had the life experiences the other person has had, then they are not equipped to criticise the perceptions or actions of the other person.

It shouldn't happen. But it does! Arrogant and egocentric individuals, who are in truth insecure about their own identity, are trying to overwhelm and control other people who are perhaps comfortable in their own skins! The egocentric individual is likely to be the one who has an opinion on everything, and interjects into every conversation with their view points; forcing others to have to adhere to their rules and their perceptions. Others choose to let the egocentric personality have the run of the office or house, simply to have a quiet life ...

The egocentric personality needs, in truth, to brought down a peg or two ... and have pointed out to them that, although their viewpoint is welcomed at the appropriate time, they do no have the right to judge the perception of another through the filter of their own perceptions. They cannot, for example, force someone to be vegetarian if they are vegetarian. They do not have any right over the chosen life path of another person, no matter how much they disapprove of that person's choices in life ...

The egocentric person needs to be taught that everyone views the world differently, and reacts differently to the same stimuli due to their own thoughts and perceptions. It is a valuable lesson for someone of that ilk to learn!
