We may be working hard on ourselves spiritually, doing good in the world, following our dreams, and wondering why we are still facing constrictions of all kinds—financial, emotional, physical. Perhaps we even feel as if we’ve lost our spirituality and are stuck in a dark room with no windows. We may be confused and discouraged by what appears to be a lack of progress. But sometimes this is the way things work. A Personal View Of 'Spirit Guides'

I recall an interesting incident back in the mid 1980's; one night at an Open Circle I was attending. We’d all undertaken a meditation to meet one of our ‘Spirit Guides’; as usual I found nothing was in contact with me during the meditation. I listened with interest as other members of the circle described their ‘Native American Indian chief with two white feather’ guides; their ‘Chinese Mandarin’ guides; their “Egyptian Princess” guides etc etc... each one described in perfect detail down to the message and the gift. 

It came my turn ... and instead of admitting I hadn’t met a guide ...I replied with ‘mine was a monk in a simple gown who didn’t say anything or give me anything’. It was accepted without question by the circle organiser ... 

... later on in the evening we all sat down to have refreshments and some food ... and the conversation of guides was brought up. I interjected into the conversation with the fact I’d made my guide up in order to not be self conscious ... and appear different to everyone else!

The interesting thing was that most of the people attending the circle AGREED with me!!! They’d heard the first accounts of wonderful guides being contacted and had decided to up their descriptions of their guides in order to compete with the other accounts!!!

It made me question the spiritual movement from that moment forth. I listen to accounts of spiritual guides ... and visualise most guides to be little more than ‘fashion accessories’ that go with being ‘psychic’ or a ‘medium’ or a ‘clairvoyant’ ... it is the accepted norm that you must have a guide to communicate with spirit. I’ve had so much ridicule over the years for not having a guide. I’ve been told I’m not developed enough to have a guide; or surely you must have a guide. The simple answer is ‘NO I don’t have any guides, I make the connections directly myself and I do not trust a third party to give me information I can acquire myself’ ....

I wonder how many psychics out there who say they have guides because it is expected that they have one ..? I for one am sufficiently annoyed with the so called New Age Movement ...!!! All this documentation about guides and secondary guides and main guides etc ... and all of us having guides .... please see the improbability of it all!!! 

I’ve been a professional medium in the industry since the 1980's ... I consistently communicate with the spirit world in 95% of my readings, live platform shows, radio shows .... and I do it without guides!!! My messages do not comprise ‘they are telling me this, they are saying that’ ... which is the vagueness that fabricated guides provide. My messages are concise ... who is communicating; what they suffered with, or died of, and the reason for their connection ....

Anyone who does seriously conclude they have a real ‘guide’ I compel you to check the connection out with validatory information that can confirms it is not a fabricated guide. Even then ...you need to determine if the guide is not a multi dimensional aspect of yourself ...! It is a process that is vital in your spiritual development ... very vital ... more than you will ever comprehend ....! In all the multitudes of communications I have had with the spirit world not ONE soul has discussed the existence of guides ... not once in 30 years ...!! I wonder why? I’ve raised the subject so many times ... and not one soul has sent a guide or admitted to the existence of guides. Helpers yes ... late family members and close friends providing information happens quite often ... but when I receive information there is no ‘GUIDE’ there telling me what everyone are saying ... Spirit Guides - Do They Exist?

What are spiritual guides? Who are they? Who has them? What are the advantages and disadvantages of having Spiritual Guides? How do we validate they are who they say they are and how accurate is the information they provide?

Are guides nothing more than astral predators who provide snippets of information for us to trust and become reliant on their connection to us? Man claims to have captured voice of "Ghost Child" at nunnery

Does a seemingly innocent YouTube video of yard work contain the otherworldly wails of a ghostly child? One man thinks so. Gavin Espley, from Birmingham, England believes he accidentally captured the eerie voice of a child's ghost on camera and he's uploaded the video to the internet in the hopes of convincing others. The clip, which as of this writing has a scant 63 views, was already a bit weird to begin with.. it's a cell phone video of a man raking leaves shot from a second story window overlooking a nunnery yard.

It only gets stranger though, when you turn up the volume and hear what sounds like a distant wailing.. a lost child moaning, "I'm cold, Mummy. I'm cold."

The brain retroactively edits conscious experience

In its more evolved form, complaining is simply the ability to see what’s not working, in one’s own life or in the external world, and it can be quite useful if followed to its natural conclusion—finding a solution and applying it. However, many of us don’t get that far, and we find that complaining has become an end in itself. In small doses, this is not a big problem, but if complaining has become a huge part of our identities, it may be time to take a good look at how we are spending our energy. Complaining is a person’s way of acknowledging that they are not happy with the way things are. In a metaphorical way, when we complain or criticize, we are tearing down an undesirable structure in order to make room for something new. But if all we do is tear down, never bothering to summon the creative energy required to create something new, we are not fulfilling the process. In fact, we are at risk for becoming a stagnant and destructive force in our own lives and in the lives of the people we love. Accepting Compliments

Daily OM: Many of us find it difficult to accept compliments but easy to believe the slightest criticism. Today, right now, let’s make a choice to fully accept compliments as we would a gift. Sincere compliments are gifts of praise. They are kudos given for wise choices or accomplishments or perhaps for just letting your light shine. There is no reason not to accept the gift of a kind word, but some of us argue against them, even giving reasons why they aren’t true. If we visualize the energy of a compliment, we would see beautiful, shining, positive energy being sent from the giver. That energy, if accepted graciously, would brighten our personal energy field. Our gratitude then returns to the giver as warm, fuzzy, glowing energy, completing an even circuit of good feelings. But if we reject a compliment, what could have been a beautiful exchange becomes awkward and uncomfortable, making it a negative experience instead. Misplaced modesty can ruin the joy of sharing this connection with another person. But we can accept a compliment and still be modest by simply saying “thank you.” However, if compliments are rejected due to a lack of self-esteem, then the first step would be to start believing good things about yourself. More Water Off The Duck's Back

What's afoot? What's happening ...? Something significant is, that's for sure. There are murmurings of displeasure and discomfort from the factions of plastic psychics and pseudo spiritualists. A number of irresponsible and inexperienced souls are turning to ill prepared arts to drag down the shining truth. I'm talking about wasteful hexes being slung into the mix. Wasteful because they are little more than tiny pebbles under the feet of those they oppose balefully.

Why are they so hateful at this time? They need to look within for the answers. Those they demeanour are not the cause, instead they are the aspiration they cannot reach.

Sadly this marks a period of baleful jealousy and vicious slander being pitched again. As the title to this says ..more water off a duck's back! The gods see those children play in the playground and push their souls still further away from responsibility and all the while ever closer delusion and insanity. They are too blinded by the light glamoured blackness to see they stray off the path. It is not their time, this time, for they have not the capacity in them to be compassionate and truly spiritual. So sad as they are the seeds that fell onto the rocky ground .. 'they see not what they do so forgive them as they know no different' ... Yesod, the land of illusion has them firmly in its clutches ... the sweet sickly voices of so called angels distract them with 'come follow me, you are so special, ever so special ... come with me and I will make you so very powerful.'

Since the early 1980's I've personally witnessed so many inexperienced souls wander this same ego driven path ... they almost always end up confused and disillusioned. The sad thing is ... you have to leave them to their own path as they won't listen to anyone ... as the energy of the path dictates they know better ... and their judgement is the only judgement people should be listening to ... so very sad.
