This is a Black Faced Cuckoo Shrike. I can't recall include any of these Australian native birds before in the favourite's collection. They are a very distinctive and, quite, common bird in the bush around Canberra. This one was photographed on the Urambi Hills.
Black-faced Cuckoo-shrikes have a black face and throat, blue-grey back,
wings and tail, and white underparts. They are slender, attractive
birds.
