The sky is in flames; shards of red and yellow fill the heavens
The moon has turned to red; the blood of the stars reflected
Wild oceans rage, tossing flotsam and jetsam across the world
Mighty metal ships like paper pushed into Neptune’s lair
Bubbles trickle through gaps and cracks in the skin of the earth
and no eyes sees the signs of internal complaint ...
The artist takes pictures of the sky and relays it to his homely screen
The pilot views the moon up close and telephones his child later
Both unaware the year is the year ancient mages foretold
back in the ages of man most adults have forgotten
History is recalled with ease by common mortal man
especially when enticed into ignorance by screen or by another beer
Races accustomed to heat will die of cold
and animals who have the run of snowy slopes
will find their winter coats no longer camouflage
their prey will see them and run to safety too
Many lands lain to waste before the politician forgets his whims
Parliaments pointless when your country is not the same anymore
Races of every creed, of every colour,
seeing the same as the unknown descends out of the clouds
A cry like nothing ever heard will fill their heads
and a reality no Hollywood film crew can produce appears
and famous bridges shall crumble to dust without detonation or smoke ...
No human can compete with this cosmic destruction
no politician can call such an effective assassin
the change comes to all in the blink of an eye
faster than light; quicker than a camera lens
But where and what and how and when?
This is total confusion
Dust and smoke
Eerie silence and deafening cacophony
Major cities see it all over the world
A kaleidoscope of colours painted on the air
the very fibres twisting and buckling and opening
and what is within the very air comes forth
and what human eyes perceived as reality appears like a picture
the dimension will shift to reveal ‘something’ else
and what is perceived as time will be superceded
by something nobody can comprehend
and it comes at a speed you cannot understand; in a day too is instant change
but a day is too long to explain; a second too; a millesecond won’t describe
and all will feel total despair for all of life will be a lie ....
