The Bardic tradition of the Celtic lands undertook the majority of its teachings in the form of 'Triads' - three line groupings of information or wisdom. A traditional Welsh text known as The Three Foundations Of Bardism expresses this principle well, being itself a group of three triads:
Worship the gods
do no evil
and exercise fortitude
Seek truth
cling to justice
and perform mercy
Be faithful to natural law
have concern for the welfare of humanity
bear with fortitude the accidents of life
