Madeleine McCann's parents were facing an agonising wait tonight as Portuguese police investigated claims their daughter lies buried only nine miles from where she was abducted. An anonymous letter insisting the four-year-old's body is hidden in deserted scrubland under rocks was sent to newspaper De Telegraaf and passed on to the Portuguese Policia Judiciaria. It pinpointed an area north of Odiaxere, north east of Praia da Luz from where the girl was snatched 41 days ago. Police are said to be taking the letter seriously, because it was apparently written by the same person who last year sent a letter providing the exact location of the two murdered Belgian girls Stacey and Nathalie Mahy, aged seven and ten.
I'm confident this is a hoax. But, should a body be found ... it is likely that after a couple of nervous and agonising weeks waiting for DNA results ... it will be reported that it is 'not the body of Madeliene McCann' .....
The body may possibly be found in a sewer or have been placed at the place the letter is leading the search to. It will be badly decomposed (IF there is a body) ....
My mind goes back to the portend weeks ago about the body being pulled from the sea.
It does NOT relate to the tragic accident off the Uk with the Father & Son. We are now in 'the coming weeks' ... I take heart that it may relate to this new's story. A child gone missing years before ... decomposed beyond recognition ... due to being in water for so long ... found wrapped in a badly decomposed white garment?
