The parents of missing Madeleine McCann have appeared on BBC One's Crimewatch to urge anyone with information of her whereabouts to come forward. In the appeal, broadcast at 2100 BST, her mother Kate held pyjamas like those Madeleine was wearing when she disappeared on 3 May in the Algarve.
She said she hoped Madeleine was taken by someone "sad" who will not harm her.
The four-year-old's father Gerry said he believed a sighting of a man on the night of 3 May carries "some weight".
"The description has been out for 10 days and as far as we know, no-one of that description has come forward so that definitely gives it more weight."
He also urged people to hand in any pictures taken around the time Madeleine vanished at Praia da Luz with strangers in the background. He said that more than 1,000 pictures have already been handed in.
