Since the 'deadly storm' warning that was posted on YahooXtra on Saturday morning, there has been NOTHING reported in the Press or the News here in New Zealand about this storm approaching, aside from it being called merely 'heavy rain expected in Auckland' .... yet, I would have expected there to be some kind of at least 'minimal' warning spoken by New's Presenters here ... like be prepared, 'there could be some damage' or 'a risk of flooding' ..........
Perhaps it's me being paranoid? But one look on the Australian Sky News Channel ... and you feel rising apprehension if the same storm was to reach landfall on Auckland ,..... which is in the direct path of the areas described yesterday. Auckland is very compact in its design; thousands upon thousands of home in close proximity to the sea in a number of natural bays and harbours. The damage would leave the Australian 'natural disaster' in the shade ....
There is no warnings. Perhaps the Media know something we don't? Like its not going to reach New Zealand .... after all; so there is no reason to alarm the public. The other option doesn't bear thinking about ....
