BLACK-SHOULDERED HAWK

This wonderful Black-Shouldered Hawk first appeared in my life as a tiny speck atop a tree about quarter of a mile ahead of me. By the time I'd made it to the base of the tree it was still standing there waiting for me. Two and a half hours later I'd taken numerous photographs, from every angle, in colour, black and white, sepia etc. I'd even had chance to take an awesome close up video.

I've chosen this particular shot as a personal favourite as it perfectly epitomizes this fantastic bird ...
