How Must Gerry & Kate Feel About This?

Daily Express Headline for Thursday 16th August 2007

Opinion
This is an utterly macabre and heartless headline for a morning newspaper even more so in the light of the recent news that the blood found in the apartment is NOT that of Maddy's. I am totally and utterly appalled with this latest piece of gutter press. This is such a falsehood it is appalling to still be permitted as a headline.

It is very dramatic and a means of selling a paper nothing more ... there is absolutely no way that those involved in the investigation would divulge the above news if it was true; one key thing to remember is the well publicized declaration that under Portuguese Law no information can be provided which relate to the case. All of the claims in this direction are speculative at all ... complete fabrication and utter trite.

It is the next line in the script of a cruel speculative tabloid smokescreen ... I sense this 'headline' was prepared and printed before the results of the DNA samples were known ... it appears to be following the old line that the Portuguese cops think Maddy is now in fact dead. It is therefore pure speculation and a cruel stab in the hearts of the McCanns. There is no grounds to this smokescreen. It will not change my stance to read headlines like this.

This is very predictable in the light of the current trends ... it seems that the Portuguese Police are finding the ways & the means to walk away from this 'case'. One way is to declare Maddy is dead and declare she was dumped at sea ... this is not the truth; it is a malicious 'rumour' which appears to be gaining cruel momentum. A sick bandwagon that tabloid 'bees' are jumping on to as a means to sell their papers. Unless of course someone somewhere despises the status of the McCanns so much as to use this machinery as a ways and a means to attack the McCanns.

This speculation has reached embarrasing proportions, at a stage where mistakes and contradictions will occur ... it is a snowball well out of control ... as an example ... realise this headline was printed before ever the latest headline regarding the DNA was yet to be revealed. Therefore ... until that point the speculation of the Portuguese Police was being 'used' as the latest headline themes. It was assumed the DNA sample was going to be that of Madeleine ... which would have made this headline 'credible' perhaps. But now ... it is a weightless example of pure speculation and macabre contradiction.
